For attachment of the light module to the base, the hooks enter open ends of the respective slots, and the light module is rotated to engage the hooks with the slots. A sheet of spring metal with two series of protrusions is sandwiched between a rear part of the base and a front part in which the slots are formed. The protrusions are exposed through the slots, and a space is provided behind the protrusions, allowing them to move resiliently when engaged by the hooks as the light module is rotated so that the light module can be retained in any selected one of a plurality of angular positions.

Abstract: A scanning unit that includes a radiation source that emits electromagnetic radiation, which is used to scan a scale of a position measuring system, wherein the radiation source includes electrical connection elements. The scanning unit further including a holder upon which the radiation source is fixable, wherein the holder includes electrical conductor elements that electrically contact the electrical connection elements. The electrical conductor elements of the holder and the electrical connection elements of the radiation source form a guide on which the radiation source is movable along an adjustment path relative to the holder while maintaining electrical contact between the electrical connection elements and the electrical conductor elements. Maintaining electrical contact enables positioning the radiation source at various positions along the adjustment path on the holder wherein the electrical connection elements are in electrical contact with the electrical conductor elements.

Abstract: A mounting collar on a light fixture provides a compressive force between the illumination module and a light fixture. For example, a mounting collar that is fixed to the light fixture may engage with an illumination module to deform elastic mounting members on the illumination module to generate the compressive force. The mounting collar may include tapered features on first and second members that are moveable with respect to each other and that when engaged generate the compressive force. The mounting collar may include elastic mounting members on first and second members that move with respect to each other, wherein the movement deforms the elastic mounting members to generate the compressive force. The mounting collar may include an elastic member, wherein movement movement of the mounting collar relative to a light fixture deforms the elastic member to generate the compressive force.
