Abstract: A hand-waving illuminant circlet employed as a sports appliance, mainly comprising a cylindrical collar, a rotary hub and at least a loaded illuminant element. The cylindrical collar fastens a handle at its inner rim and holds a ring gear at its outer perimeter. The rotary hub comprises a pair of symmetric disks for eccentric rotation. The inner perimeter of the disks forms a clamp rail for the ring gear to rotate along. The loaded illuminant element comprises two illuminant wheels and a spur gear going between. The spur gear meshes on the ring gear. When the player waves the circlet, the eccentric rotation generated in the rotary hub produces a centrifugal force causing the illuminant element to circumnavigate along the ring gear; besides, the illuminant element produces a fantastic glare providing great fun in practice.

Abstract: The movable reflector of the headlight of a motor vehicle can be orientated by means of an orientation adjustment device located inside the body of the headlight. The orientation of the reflected light beam is controlled with the help of an adjustable graduated scale which is connected to the reflector and which can move with respect to a stationary indicator fixed to the headlight, so as to indicate the changes in orientation of the reflector. The graduated scale is set to zero by means of a manual adjustment carried out by specialized personnel using a special tool, once the reflector has been correctly orientated by means of the adjustment device. The stationary indicator and the graduated scale are located so that they are clearly visible inside the headlight, beneath the transparent cover of a porthole which can be opened in order to set the scale to zero.

Abstract: An automatically slaved light for a motor vehicle comprises a roof mounted lamp steerable about a horizontal and vertical axis, and an internal control unit within the coach of the vehicle. The control unit rotates the lamp unit about the vertical axis via a first motor in the lamp housing when the vehicle is engaging a turn, wherein the lamp is rotated in the direction of turn of the vehicle to an angle proportional to the steering angle thereof as determined by a steering angle sensor coupled to the vehicle's steering wheel. The lamp is rotated upward about the horizontal axis by the control unit via a second motor in the lamp housing when the vehicle is traversing a declinate section of road, wherein the lamp unit is rotated upward relative the longitudinal axis of the motor vehicle to an angle proportional to the angle defined between the longitudinal axis of the vehicle and the gravitational horizon which is determined by a level sensor in the control unit.

  • Patent number: 5567035
Abstract: The headlight has a reflector mounted inside a casing and swivelable about an axis by an adjustment element rotatably mounted in the casing. The adjustment element has a portion formed eccentrically to its axis of rotation. In the casing a transmission element is mounted for swiveling about an axis and is swivelably connected to the reflector. The transmission element has a recess in which the eccentric portion of the adjustment element is received, so that the transmission element is coupled, in the tangential direction relative to the axis about which it is swivelable in the casing, to the eccentric portion. On rotation of the adjustment element the reflector is swiveled about the swivel axis and the magnitude of the swiveling movement of the reflector is determined by the magnitude of the eccentricity of the portion and the lever ratios of the transmission element.
