The arrangement further comprises a guide vane section (22) arranged upstream of said mixing plate section (24) to cooperate therewith in mixing the process gas (MF) flowing through the gas duct (10a), the guide vane section (22) comprises a first group of guide vanes (26) arranged to direct a first gas flow portion (GP1) in a direction towards a first side wall (34) of the gas duct (10a), and a second group of guide vanes (28) arranged to direct a second gas flow portion (GP2) in a direction towards a second side wall (36) of the gas duct (10a), said second side wall (36) being opposite said first side wall (34).

There is also an additional slider and a closing member disposed at the bottom of the container. The first slider, can be moved to form a passage slot between the first slider and the housing. The second slider can be moved to form a passage slot between the second slider and the housing. In addition, between the first slider and the second slider is a first deflecting curve for the colored concrete to mix around and between the second slider and the closing member is a second deflecting curve for further mixing of the colored concrete. This colored concrete is then added to the coarse grained concrete and compacted with it to create paving stones.

    Abstract: A dispensing apparatus is located in the rear of a tip truck body. When the tipping body of the truck is inclined gravity causes bulk material held in the tipping body at either side of a partition to feed augers. The dispensing apparatus includes at least one tank preferably a central tank holding powdered material such as cement powder dispensed through a chute by virtue of a paddle wheel dispenser. Water tanks which dispense water through an outlet are located at either side of the cement powder tank. A common drive shaft drives the augers and the paddle wheel. The dispensing of material is controlled by controllers such that a predetermined ratio of material can be dispensed into, for example a mixer. The dispenser can be used for dispensing the constituents of concrete and may be removable from the tip truck body so that the tip truck can function as a normal tip truck.

    Abstract: Apparatus is provided for blending large batches of particulate polymers that are compositionally heterogeneous into batches that are compositionally uniform. The apparatus consists of a plurality of horizontally aligned cylindrical storage bins, a common feed line for feeding particulate polymer to each of the storage bins, and conveying means running under each of the storage bins to receive particulate polymer discharged from the bins. Each bin contains six or more vertically aligned partition walls that extend radially from the midpoint of the bin to the wall to divide the bin into at least six storage compartments of substantially equal volumetric capacity. The vertical partition walls differ in height in a regular descending order so that as material is charged to and fills one compartment, it overflows the shorter wall to fill the adjacent compartment. Upon being discharged from the bin, the contents of the several compartments of the bin are mixed to provide a more homogeneous batch of particles.

The batch hopper, the first of four hoppers, rests on a scale and includes a plurality of baffles positioned to control material which is dumped into the hopper such as by a front-end loader. A set of doors on the bottom of the batch hopper dumps the material directly below into a blending hopper which holds the contents of the batch hopper and includes a baffle for further blending of the material. A conveyor runs the entire length of the blend hopper and transfers material upwardly to a surge bin. The surge bin has baffles to eliminate any concentration of materials and disperse them throughout the material.

    Abstract: In storage apparatus wherein asphalt hot mix is moved by gravity along a chute from the top of a bucket elevator to the inlet of a batching hopper at the top of a storage bin, a baffle in the chute, over the inlet, prevents segregation of mix entering the hopper. The baffle is spaced forwardly of the front end of the chute bottom wall, is oriented generally vertically and transversely to the length of the chute, and is flatwise swingable backward and forward. By means of a set screw through a front wall of the chute the position of swinging motion of the baffle is so adjusted that coarse mix components, carried against the baffle by momentum, are deflected by it towards the center of the hopper. Adjustable remixing baffles in the chute, adjacent its side walls and behind the front end of its bottom wall, deflect material away from the chute side walls to effect remixing of aggregate that became segregated during its charging into the bucket elevator.
