Abstract: An electronic timepiece includes an external case, a pressure sensor provided in the external case for detecting pressure, and a protection case surrounding an outer peripheral surface of the pressure sensor to protect and support the pressure sensor. A sensor housing opening is formed in the external case and houses the pressure sensor and the protection case, and the protection case is arranged near a center portion of the sensor housing opening. A case holding gasket has a cylindrical portion fitted between an inside surface of the sensor housing opening and an outside surface of the protection case through a given interference with respect to the sensor housing opening and the protection case. An inward flange portion is provided in the case holding gasket and regulates movement in a direction in which the protection case falls off the external case toward the outside.

Abstract: The invention provides an analog quartz timepiece, comprising a housing; one or more hands continuously rotating around a dial placed within the housing; a drive movement comprising gears and drive motors associated with the hands for timekeeping; a position sensor comprising a light transmitter and a light receiver which are positioned to define a reflective area on the dial, where the light transmitter transmits a beam of light to any one of the hands passing through the reflective area and the light receiver receives the light reflected from the passing hand; and a processor connected to said drive movement and said position sensor, said processor being programmed to determine a position of the passing hand in the reflective area in correspondence to the reflection of the light from the hand, and to drive the movement to move the hand to a correct time position responsive to the determined position. The invention also relates to a method for providing time-correction of an analog quartz timepiece.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a smart waking device and a smart waking method thereof. The smart waking device comprises: a detection unit, a setting unit, a waking unit and a processing module. The detection unit detects user's motion. The setting unit sets a first predetermined time. The waking unit issues a waking message. The processing module is electrically connected with the detection unit, the setting unit and the wakening unit. Based upon the first predetermined time, the processing module takes a time interval starting from the first predetermined time. While the detection unit detects the user's motion during the time interval, the processing module controls the waking unit to issue the waking message.

Abstract: Disclosed is a chronograph timepiece in which it is possible to prevent the chronograph drive timing and the magnetic field detection timing from overlapping each other to unnecessarily effect driving with correction drive pulses. A processing unit controls drive circuits so as to drive a time indication motor and a chronograph indication motor with a predetermined timing based respectively on timekeeping information obtained and chronograph measurement information obtained, and effects control such that a magnetic field detecting unit detects a magnetic field with a predetermined timing; when the drive timing for the chronograph indication motor and the magnetic field detection timing for the magnetic field detecting unit overlap each other, the processing unit changes the magnetic field detection timing for the magnetic field detecting unit so that the drive timing for the chronograph indication motor and the magnetic field detection timing for the magnetic field detecting unit may not overlap each other.
