  • Patent number: 11182338
Abstract: A case management system and method of managing and organizing documents within the case portfolio for efficient review includes data that is dynamically updated to result in a final report that includes real-time updated data. The system collects and displays the data on a secure portal for interactivity with a professional stakeholder reviewing the data. The data is automatically transformed into different formats when received, including a standard text-and-image file, a text-only file, and an image-only file, thereby allowing the reviewing stakeholder to interact with the data in multiple ways. As the system translates the document into different viewable formats, the system automatically scans the data within the document for important information, such as dates, times, names, locations, and other important pieces of information. The system then assigns date-and-time associations with each document, and automatically organizes the documents in a chronological order on a display.

Abstract: System and methods for characterizing interest points within a descriptor are disclosed herein. The systems include generating a set of interest points related to an audio sample. A set of gradients relating to respective interest points in the set of interest points can be generated. A set of descriptors can then be generated based upon the set of interest points and the set of gradients and used in comparison to reference descriptors to identify the audio sample. The disclosed systems and methods provide for an audio matching system robust to pitch-shift distortion by using gradients that characterize the time-frequency neighborhood around an interest point rather than solely relying on interest points themselves. Thus, the disclosed system and methods result in more accurate audio identification.

The converter device (1, 2, 4, 9 to 13) generates a digital image signal for buffer storage in the memory (19) of a program-controlled data processing device (15). The data processing device (15) derives the profile of the two edges of the double variable-area track (DZ) from data values of the buffer-stored image signal. Audio data for a sound reproduction are generated using data about the edge profile determined.

Abstract: Copies of original sound recordings are identified by extracting features from the copy, creating a vector of those features, and comparing that vector against a database of vectors. Identification can be performed for copies of sound recordings that have been subjected to compression and other manipulation such that they are not exact replicas of the original. Computational efficiency permits many hundreds of queries to be serviced at the same time. The vectors may be less than 100 bytes, so that many millions of vectors can be stored on a portable device.

Abstract: The present invention pertains to a structure of pick-up head and its method for accessing signals, which operates in coordination with a disk made by ferroelectric material. An electric field is generated around the ends of two conductive wires by exerting a voltage on the wires. When the ends of the two wires are being close to the disk, the electric field polarizes the data-storing surface, which is formed by the ferroelectric material, so as to reach the function of writing. And as reading is needed, the two wires are also utilized of being induced by the electric lines of polarized area on the ferroelectric material to solve the data signals stored on the disk. Because the structure of pick-up head is simple and it is able to generate a smaller effective electric field, it is advantaged for the trend of miniaturization of pick-up head and capable of increasing the density of data on the disk.
