Abstract: To provide a disk device, which can reliably lead and house a disk into a disk housing section requiring only a small space. The disk device is provided with: a pick arm 130 which swings and inserts a drive unit for playing a disk D into a space created by splitting a plurality of trays 250; and a loading arm 256 which can move between a leading position for abutting on the disk D inserted/ejected with respect to the tray 250 and leading the disk D, and a withdrawing position for withdrawing from the disk to be played. A pick swing cam plate 138, which controls the drive of the pick arm 130 and the loading arm 256, is provided so as to be slidingly moved by a drive mechanism.

Abstract: A system for duplication of data onto disks includes a housing, a drawer device, a transport mechanism, a set of disk holders, an arm and a control device. The housing includes a printing device and a set of copy units. The transport mechanism is connected to the arm for moving individual disks between the disk holders, the drawer device and the set of copy units. The control device automatically controls the various functions of various components of the system for duplication.

Abstract: To provide a disk clamping device which can reduce a required space for performing disk clamping in the disk device. The disk clamping device comprises: a pick arm 130 which is swung into and swung out of a space created by splitting trays 250 capable of housing a plurality of disks D; a drive unit which is mounted on the pick arm 130 and plays the disk D; a turning table 123 on which the disk D is mounted; a clamp arm 124 provided so as to be able to move up and down in substantially parallel with the disk D; and a clamper 125 which is attached to the clamp arm 124 and holds the disk D with the turning table 123.

Abstract: A disk drive and drive unit driving mechanism includes a disk holder with a plurality of holder plates that can receive individual hold disk in a stacked configuration. Disk selectors can form a space above and below a desired disk to be played by contacting and raising and/or lowering the holder plates. A drive base can move a drive unit into the space that is formed between the holder plates. Disk selectors can be provided with cams of a web shaped configuration to co-act with the protrusion provided whereby the holder plates can be moved in a vertical direction.

Abstract: A disk changer apparatus includes a rotation base on which a turntable and a head are mounted. The rotation base can rotate about the rear end thereof as a fulcrum. The disk changer apparatus further includes a base supporter opposed to the top end of the rotation base when the rotation base moves to a driving position where the rotation base can drive a disk selected from a plurality of disks, a lock member movably mounted on the rotation base, and a lock control mechanism for causing the lock member to be connected to the base supporter when the rotation base moves to the driving position. The disk changer apparatus having such a structure stably supports both ends of the rotation base when the rotation base rotates to the driving position.

Abstract: A disk device providing disk storage and disk playing capabilities. The disk storage being provided along a vertical column. Upon the retrieval of a desired disk from the disk storage, the desired disk is rotated around the column so that it may move up and down the column into a playing position. Upon reaching the playing position the disk is provided to a disk playing device for playing the disk.

Abstract: There is provided a DVD case that enables a player, such as a DVD player, which can be made compact, to perform a successive replay over different disc-like recording mediums, such as DVDs, in a smooth and quick manner. The DVD case, which is able to accommodate a plurality of DVDs in its containing space, is provided both an upper lid member and a lower lid member configured to form the containing space and to be mutually separable, guide mechanisms, and openings. The guide mechanisms are disposed on the upper and lower lid members, respectively, and are in charge of fixing the DVDs in the containing space. The openings are formed through the upper and lower lid members, respectively, so that the outer circumferential edges of the DVDs are partly exposed to the outside of the DVD case.
