Abstract: An air flow deflector for a snow plow mounted on a motor vehicle having a radiator. The air flow deflector includes a deflector fin for deflecting air flow against the radiator of the motor vehicle. The deflector fin includes a main body having an upper surface, a lower surface and opposite side surfaces. A mounting arrangement is provided for mounting the deflector fin in adjustable angular relation to a top surface of the snow plow and in spaced relation to the top surface of the snow plow so as to define an air flow passage therebetween. An arrangement is also provided for releasably fixing the orientation of the deflector fin with respect to the mounting arrangement.
Abstract: A portable rotary snow blower shovel which is lightweight and maneuverable is disclosed. The device uses the drive mechanism from a rotary string trimmer. In place of the string and string guard, the snow blower utilizes an impeller and a substantially cylindrical enclosure. The enclosure includes a cutout opening in a lower portion of the periphery to allow snow to enter. Adjacent the opening is a flat plate which is secured to the inside of the enclosure at an angle in order to direct snow upward toward the impeller. The impeller, which is oriented substantially parallel to the surface being cleared, is circular in shape and has radially projecting blades attached to the upper and lower surfaces thereof. Once the snow is directed upward by the angled flat plate, the blades of the impeller, which are rotating at a high speed, force the snow out an exit conduit adjacent the top of the cylindrical enclosure by centrifugal force. The exit conduit directs the snow upward and away from the path being cleared.
Abstract: A scraping implement that can be quickly coupled and uncoupled to a conventional self-propelled snowblower for the removal of snow from a driveway or sidewalk. Drop pins releasably hold the frame of the implement to opposite sides of a snowblower housing. The implement has a concave curved plow mounted on a frame for angle adjustments. A bolt extends through a swivel plate and the frame to hold the plow at the selected position. The frame is laterally adjustable to fit different sized snowblowers.
Abstract: Blades are used in association with snow buckets articulated from snow-removing vehicles. In a preferred embodiment, the snow bucket comprises rotatably mounted about its lateral sides, a floating snow blade outwardly projectable substantially horizontally in front of the lower portion of each of the side walls of the bucket, as to float according to the conformation thereunder and to confine and to force the snow between the snow blades and the bucket to enter the bucket and to shovel it and thereby increasing the snow content of a bucket per stroke. Preferably, the floating snow blades are outwardly projectable substantially horizontally in alternation, in front of or in the back of, the lower portion of each of said side walls.
Abstract: There is disclosed an expandable snow shovel device having a central blade element which has a single handle projecting upwardly from its upper edge. There is also at least one side blade element which abuts the central blade element end to end. Additionally, other side blade elements may be releasably fixed outwardly from the side blade adjacent to the central blade. Preferably, the blade elements also have upwardly extending flanges adjacent to their lateral edges so that they may be fixed to adjoining blade elements by releasable connecting members such as lock pins. Preferably, the blade elements are also concave in shape as viewed from their upper surface and terminate at their lower ends in an angled cutting edge.
Abstract: A snow grooming device for ski slopes, being a snow tilling apparatus with a toothed, selectively powered tiller bar, along with a compactor pan which may be releasably attached beneath the tiller bar to convert the device from a tiller into a snow compactor.

Abstract: A wind deflector for a snow plow on a motor vehicle that has a plow pump bar and a radiator. The deflector consists of a deflecting plate mounted to the pump bar so that when the plow is in position the deflecting plate will deflect air from above the plow down behind the plow and into the radiator of the motor vehicle to prevent overheating. In a modification an elongated funnel shaped deflecting housing is mounted to top of the plow in place of the deflecting plate.
Abstract: Convertible snow clearing apparatus provides a wide blade double handle snow pusher which may be used as a plow for pushing snow, and which is easily converted into a pair of individual snow shovels. The apparatus includes an intermediate blade member for connecting the blades of two standard snow shovels in side-to-side parallel relationship and a cross bracing member connected to the handles for maintaining the handles in spaced apart parallel relationship. The intermediate blade member and the cross bracing member are detachably connected to the blades and to the handles, respectively, using quick-release connectors.

Abstract: A clamp assembly for mounting a snow plow to the lip of a loader bucket comprises a pair of receiving frames forming laterally extending slots. A ramp surface is disposed at the apex of the slots. Pivot arms mount a clamp engagement members which may be locked position to secure the lip of a loader bucket received in the slots. A snow plow connects with connector arms which are pivotally mounted to the receiving frames.
Abstract: A basic snowblower unit powered by an engine has a rectangular shroud housing a fan with a drive member associated with it. A considerable number of special units including lawnmower, vacuum-and-bagger, leaf picker, edger, rotary tiller, leaf blower, sprayer, electric generator, hydraulic pump, and air compressor, are individually attachable for support and powering by the basic snowblower unit, providing for all-year use of it, compact storage and economy in purchase and ownership.
Abstract: An air scoop arrangement is used to direct air towards a radiator of a vehicle carrying a front mounted snow plow blade. The air scoop includes an air engaging wall and oppositely disposed side walls depending therefrom. The air scoop is mounted on the snow plow blade in an adjustable angular orientation. The air engaging wall is substantially disposed above an upper end of the snow plow blade to engage and direct air towards the vehicle radiator.
Abstract: A clearing blade, as an attachment for a garden tractor or the like, is constructed as a double-walled construction thereby forming a box-like spreading funnel (5) between the wall members so that simultaneously with or after clearing snow, salt or other granular material may be spread by the same implement used for the clearing. Due to the rigid box-structure of the blade a sufficient strength is obtained even by materials of lesser strength than expensive, fracture resistant steels. Hence, such materials of lesser strength, e.g., synthetic materials, may be used for manufacturing the present blade by an injection molding or die-casting method.
Abstract: A forklift attachment for a vehicle includes a cross frame member which is arranged to be pivotally connected to the frame members of a conventional snowplow blade lift mounted to the front of the vehicle. The cross frame member can be raised and lowered by the lift's hydraulic piston. A plurality of tines are slidably mounted to the cross frame member so that they project forwardly of that member and are in position to engage under a load when the cross frame member is in a lower position adjacent the ground and then lift the load above the ground when the cross frame member is raised by the piston.
Abstract: Scraper apparatus for being carried at the rear of a vehicle such as a light truck or the like includes an attachment frame adapted for being carried by the vehicle beneath its chassis thereof at the rear of the vehicle. A blade-carrying frame for carrying the blade at the rear of the vehicle is pivotally and detachably securable to the attachment frame at the rear of the vehicle by use of a securement frame or unit providing telescoping interengagement with the attachment frame, and pivotal interengagement with the blade-carrying frame to define a transverse pivot axis to permit pivoting of the blade-carrying frame upon the axis relative to the vehicle. A winch selectively raises or lowers the pivot-remote end of the blade-carrying frame under remote operator control. The blade is pivotally secured to the blade-carrying frame by a sleeve in which is rotatably journalled a shaft secured to the blade.
