Bottom Spud Anchor Patents (Class 37/346)
  • Patent number: 10611347
Abstract: A stabilizer for a vehicle includes an actuator assembly configured to be coupled to a chassis of the vehicle and a ground pad coupled to the actuator assembly. The actuator assembly is selectively repositionable between a retracted position and a lifting position. The ground pad has a bottom surface configured to engage a support surface below the chassis. When the actuator assembly is in the lifting position, the bottom surface of the ground pad engages the support surface and the actuator assembly applies an upward force on the chassis, and when the actuator assembly is in the retracted position, the actuator assembly lifts the ground pad such that the ground pad is not in contact with the support surface.

  • Patent number: 10287748
Abstract: A dredge and spud apparatus provides a dredge or hull or floating tank. The hull supports one or more spuds. An interface mounts each spud to the hull. The interface includes a frame attached to the hull and a carriage supported by the frame for movement between a forward position and a rear position. The hull can support one or more dredge components. The hull can be a barge. The carriage can be moved from the forward position to the rear position (or from the rear position to the forward position) in order to change position of the hull or floating tank relative to the spuds when the spuds are anchored to the water bed, sea bed, lake bed, river bed, etc. The interface includes inner and outer links, at least one link being powered to move between forward and rear positions.

  • Patent number: 9909689
Abstract: A mudmat for a subsea pipeline accessory has a body with an accessory support structure arranged to lie underneath and support an accessory. At least one foundation element attached to the body is movable from a stowed position at least partially under the accessory support structure into a deployed position extending laterally from the accessory support structure after overboarding the accessory from a vessel and before landing the accessory on the seabed. Two or more foundation elements may be deployed simultaneously in laterally-opposed directions transverse to the longitudinal axis of a pipe that supports the accessory.

  • Patent number: 9567720
Abstract: An offshore platform for a marine environment includes a regulating tower section supporting at least one offshore wind turbine, at least one buoyancy tube connected between the regulating tower section, the at least one buoyancy tube having a tapered lower end extending to a seabed, and a concrete bed within the seabed. The tapered lower end is a cone-shaped bottom slab having a flat top surface with an apex of the cone-shaped bottom slab pointing downward towards the seabed. The concrete bed includes a reversed cone-shaped indentation to which the cone-shaped bottom slab is to be fixed within that was formed in the concrete bed by the cone-shaped bottom slab prior to the concrete bed hardening to a final design strength.

  • Patent number: 7900381
Abstract: In one embodiment of the present invention, an apparatus is disclosed for accommodating a substantially vertical spud of a dredging vessel with a longitudinal direction, including a spud carriage which is mounted for limited rotation around a horizontal transverse axis, wherein at least a first and a second spring device is arranged under bias between vessel and spud in the longitudinal direction for the purpose of absorbing a moment on the spud carriage, which first and second spring devices compensate each other in the non-loaded situation of the spud; and at least one spring device is provided with a spring force limiting device for limiting the tension in the spring element from a determined maximum moment on the spud carriage.

  • Patent number: 7720134
Abstract: A wireless CDMA communication system receiver receives a stream of chips generated by spreading data symbols formed by grouping bits of information at a wireless CDMA communication transmitter which are broadcast at a certain chip-rate. The received chips are de-spread and symbols pertaining to respective users are reconstructed. The stream of chips are formatted into blocks of chips, and an iterative block decision feedback equalization is performed in a frequency domain at the chip-rate of the broadcast stream of chips to remove inter-symbol interference by defining a transfer function. The chips generated are interleaved by spreading each data symbol being transmitted before broadcasting the stream of interleaved chips in distinct blocks of chips.

  • Patent number: 6263594
Abstract: The present invention is useful for dredging underneath a floating vessel, where a conventional dredge cannot reach the location of the material to be dredged. A neutral buoyancy pipe is attached to the end of the suction pipe and acts as an extension of the suction pipe. The vertical position of the neutral buoyancy pipe is controlled by adjusting the buoyancy of the neutral buoyancy pipe. The horizontal position of the neutral buoyancy pipe is controlled both by the anchoring system which sweeps the dredge back and forth and by a position adjusting system at the forward end of the neutral buoyancy pipe.
