Abstract: A slider apparatus of the invention includes a ball screw, first and second support members which respectively support the two end portions of the ball screw, a slider which includes a driving means for rotating a ball nut threadably engaging with the ball screw while rotatably holding the ball nut, and is disposed to be movable in the axial direction of the ball screw, first and second intermediate support members which are disposed to sandwich the slider, and each of which includes a support hole through which the ball screw passes and is movable in the axial direction of the ball screw, and a connecting member which engages with the first and second intermediate support members, and allows free movement of the first and second intermediate support members within the range of the full length of the connecting member.
Abstract: A tractor scraper includes a tractor portion and a scraper portion. The scraper portion may include a bowl and an apron disposed adjacent a forward end of the bowl. The tractor scraper may include a first drive configured to raise the apron. The first drive may include an actuator drivingly connected to a pinion. The first drive may also include a rack connected to the apron and the pinion in a manner allowing the actuator to raise the apron by driving the rack with the pinion. The rack may include a plurality of teeth facing rearward.

Abstract: A side wing attachment assembly for moldboards includes hydraulically actuated, spaced wing plate members capable of being placed predetermined distances from one another, forming with the moldboard material moving surface a containment pocket for material to be moved or directed. The side wing assembly includes the ability to move the wing plate members away from the material moving surface of the moldboard, or repositioning the wing plates to accommodate reorientation of the moldboard material moving surface.
Abstract: A hood assembly includes a hood member and an adjustable length stabilizing link. The stabilizing link is movable between a first position at which the link maintains a bottom surface of the hood member in a substantially parallel relationship with a ground, or soil, surface and a second position at which the link tilts, or rotates, the hood member and thereby moves the bottom surface of the hood member to a nonparallel orientation with the ground surface. When in the tilted position, a portion of the bottom surface of the hood member is spaced from the ground surface at a distance sufficient to permit access for the repair or service of elements normally protectively enclosed by the hood member.
