Abstract: New wireless networks can perform enhanced beamforming training for a multiple access technique, such as orthogonal frequency division multiple-access (OFDMA). The configurations of the stations and the networks presented herein provide a multiple-station beam refinement protocol (MSBRP) that may be used to train the transmit end and/or the receive end for the stations in a dense wireless local area network (WLAN). The MSBRP can have at least two phases. The first phase concurrently trains the receive side of multiple responder stations from one set of training signals sent from an initiator station. Then, each responder station can send training signals to the initiator station in a set of ordered phases associated with each responder station. The MSBRP eliminates inefficiencies associated with conducting multiple BRPs that include only pairs of stations.

The adaptive router may use a primary route until it predicts congestion will occur. The adaptive router measures packet traffic volume, such as flit volume, on a primary network interface to anticipate the congestion. The adaptive router maintains a trailing sum of the number of flits handled by the primary network interface over a trailing time period. The method further comprises a step of determining (63) whether the pre-coding vector indicated by the received pre-coding vector information is reliable or unreliable and steps of applying (64) the pre-coding vector indicated by the received pre-coding vector information for uplink transmission only if the pre-coding vector is determined to be reliable and applying (66) a pre-determined pre-coding vector when the pre-coding vector indicated by the received pre-coding vector information is determined to be unreliable.

Abstract: To enable internet softphone users to join to calls hosted at an audio conferencing bridge, a SIP Invite may be received at a bridge interface layer of an audio conferencing system. Parameters of the SIP Invite may be extracted, e.g. from one or more X-header fields and processed to enable the internet softphone to be joined to an audio conferencing bridge. The bridge interface layer may receive a SIP Refer message from the audio conferencing bridge that indicates a second audio conferencing bridge external to the system. The bridge interface layer may forward the SIP Invite to the second audio conferencing bridge and the RTP media may be established through the session border controller (SBC) of the audio conferencing system.

Abstract: A communication method of coordinated multi-point transmission systems. Based on the Zadoff-Chu sequences, multiple training sequences are implemented, and the training sequences are a set of robust orthogonal training sequence (ROTS). Preamble signals that use the set of training sequences can be transmitted from multiple base stations/relay stations at the same time. In the case with the mixture signal of multiple preamble signals, user equipment can still use the received signal to estimate multiple carrier frequency offsets of the corresponding base stations/relay stations.

Abstract: The illustrative embodiments described herein provide improved systems and methods for conferencing enterprise and non-enterprise callers. In one embodiment, a method includes receiving a first call initiated by an enterprise caller at an enterprise, communicating with an enterprise media server to initiate a tributary conference on the enterprise media server, joining the enterprise caller to the tributary conference such that the enterprise caller is in data communication with the tributary conference, receiving a second call initiated by a non-enterprise caller via a public switched telephone network, interfacing the non-enterprise caller with a data center media server, creating a home conference on the data center media center, joining the second call to the home conference, and interfacing the home conference on the data center media server to the tributary conference on the enterprise media server to form a linked conference between the enterprise caller and the non-enterprise caller.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a solution for performing a sharing an ongoing data session between a first user and a group of at least one additional user in a telecommunication system. The basic idea of this invention is to provide a network integration node with a shared streaming session logic, replication logic and group membership management functions of a conference node, like for example the “Push to-talk over Cellular (PoC)” application. Using this functionality the conference system is to be included into the ongoing streaming session, shall invite additional members and forward the streaming traffic to them as well. This results into a shared streaming service using unicast communication resources.

  • Patent number: 8644262
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for determining a channel quality indicator (CQI) in a transmission system associated with a diversity transmission scheme. A plurality of independent diversity branches are identified in the diversity transmission scheme. Each one of the independent diversity branches may correspond to a different portion of the effective channel and may include any suitable combination of frequency, time, and/or spatial components of the effective channel or of any wired or wireless paths or combinations of the same. An effective Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) value is computed for each one of the identified independent diversity branches. The computed effective SNR values are combined for the identified independent diversity branches to generate a CQI value.
