Abstract: For providing data connectivity with various types of continuity, methods, apparatus, and systems are disclosed. One apparatus includes a processor and a transceiver that communicates with a mobile communication network. The processor receives a request to establish a data session, identifies a request characteristic corresponding to the request, and selects a data session continuity type by applying a continuity selection policy to the identified request characteristic. If the selected continuity type matches the data session continuity type of a first existing PDU Session, then the processor routes traffic of the data session through a first existing PDU Session. Otherwise, if the selected continuity type does not match the data session continuity type of any existing PDU Session, then the processor establishes a first data connection having the selected data session continuity type.

For example, upon reception of RRC reconfiguration information that modifies one or more secondary MAC instances, the WTRU may transmit a reconfiguration complete message to a Macro eNB (MeNB) and may synchronize to small-cell or secondary eNB (SeNB), for example if triggered by one or more of an RRC flag, a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) order (MeNB/SeNB), MAC activation information, etc. For example, the WTRU may synchronize to the SeNB for specific type(s) of RRC reconfigurations, but not other type(s) of RRC reconfigurations. Although examples may be described in terms of dual connectivity, the WTRU may establish connectivity and perform mobility procedures with more than two radio access network (RAN) nodes (e.g., eNBs), and the embodiments described may be equally applicable to those scenarios.

Abstract: A limited input device, such as a camera, is authenticated based on a request received from an authenticated application. The application can request an application server to provide the application with a one-time authorization code. The request includes the device identifier associated with the camera. The server stores an association between the one-time authorization code and the device identifier of the camera, and provides the application with the one-time authorization code. The application provides the camera with the one-time authorization code. The camera transmits a request for an access token to the server, the request for the access token including the one-time authorization code and the device identifier associated with the camera. The server verifies the device identifier associated with the camera with that associated with the one-time authorization code, and upon a positive verification authenticates the camera by providing the camera with the access token.

Abstract: A more efficient network can be achieved using software-defined networking to configure routing tables to route data traffic to and from proper cells. User equipment address data and network device internet protocol address data can be utilized to define locators specific to a user equipment device in relation to various network devices. For instance, broadcasted network address data representative of a mobile device identifier address can be received by a first network device from the mobile device, wherein the mobile device identifier address comprises network address data related to an internet protocol address of a second network device, the first network device can determine a third network device capable of a communication with the mobile device, and the communication with the mobile device can be routed by the first network device to the third network device.
