Abstract: Systems and methods for performing UE handover based on group delay variation include a base station (i) selecting a target neighbor sector from a plurality of neighbor sectors for the handover, where each neighbor sector has a group delay metric, and where the target neighbor sector is selected from the neighbor sectors based at least in part on each neighbor sector's group delay variation and (ii) initiating handover of the UE to the target neighbor sector. Some embodiments include creating a neighbor relations table (NRT) comprising at least some of the neighbor sectors, and prioritizing the NRT based on group delay and/or group delay variation. In some embodiments, selection of the target neighbor sector for the handover is additionally based on neighbor sector handover success rates and Reference Signal Receive Power (RSRP) values for neighbor sectors reported by the UE for which the handover is to be performed.

A mobile station 200A includes a physical channel segmentation unit 210 and data demodulating/decoding units 220. A radio resource block allocated to non-orthogonal signals is defined in a frequency domain, a time domain and a non-orthogonal multiplex domain. The non-orthogonal multiplex domain has multiple levels corresponding to the number of interference cancellations by the data demodulating/decoding units 220. Interference canceller of the mobile station 200A cancels a non-orthogonal signal whose allocated radio resource block is at a lower level than that of the mobile station 200A.

Abstract: A method is described for adapting the size of data for a future Transmission Time Interval (TTI) by a User Equipment (UE), wherein all the Media Access Control (MAC)-d flows are grouped and stored in different lists based on a type of grants associated with the MAC-d flows, ability of a MAC-d flow to be multiplexed with another MAC-d flow from a list, and data availability in a logical channel mapped onto a MAC-d flow in the current TTI. The E-TFC is then selected by the UE for the future TTI using the MAC-d flow having the highest power offset in a consolidated list including the grouped MAC-d flows. The size of the data is thereby adapted using the selected E-TFC. Further disclosed is a method for generating RLC PDUs by the UE for the future TTI using the variation in the scheduled grant for the UE and the size of the data adapted for the future TTI.

Abstract: A communication device 1 (transceivers 400) transmits a training signal from its own transmitting antenna while performing beam scanning, and a communication device 2 (transceivers 500) receives this training signal in a state where a quasi-omni pattern is generated in its own receiving antenna. Further, the device 1 transmits a training signal in a state where a quasi-omni pattern is generated in the transmitting antenna, and the device 2 receives this training signal by the receiving antenna while performing beam scanning. The device 1 and 2 detects, from respective reception results, transmitting-antenna-setting candidates of the device 1 and receiving-antenna-setting candidates of the device 2, and determines antenna-setting pairs (combinations of antenna-setting candidates). The above-described processes are also performed for a receiving antenna of the device 1 and a transmitting antenna of the device 2. The device 1 and 2 communicates by using the obtained antenna-setting pairs.

Abstract: A system can provide quality-of-service based network resource allocation and utilization in a dynamic network environment. A system may determine a current quality level of current media data presented to a user by a remote system in communication with the first system. The system may determine if it can provide subsequent media data to the remote system at a higher quality level than the current quality level. As one example, the system may identify a network connection with the remote system that supports providing the subsequent media data at the higher quality level to the remote system. The system may then obtain the subsequent media data at the higher quality level and send the subsequent media data at the higher quality level to the remote system.

Abstract: A method determines the relative locations of wirelessly controllable service device nodes and switching control nodes within a building. At least some of the service device nodes are located in different rooms of the building and should be allocated to switching control nodes on a room-specific basis. Wireless communication is established between the nodes to determine relative spatial positions of selected nodes using received signal strength indication (RSSI) values indicative of a distance of separation between two communicating nodes. The service device nodes are then grouped into two or more groups, a first group corresponding to service device nodes in one room and a second group corresponding to service device nodes in a second room, based on spatial distribution of the service device nodes as indicated by the RSSI values. The service device nodes of each group are then allocated to at least one associated switching control node.

Abstract: A system for measuring a full spectrum of a modulated output signal provided by a device under test (DUT) includes a signal generating device that provides a radio frequency (RF) stimulus signal to the DUT, and generates a trigger signal, where the DUT outputs the modulated output signal in response. A receiver, having an intermediate frequency (IF) bandwidth less than a total bandwidth of the modulated output signal, includes mixers, an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) triggered by the trigger signal, and a local oscillator (LO) that consecutively generates multiple LO signals having different LO frequencies. A harmonic phase reference (HPR) generator generates a repetitive HPR signal having an HPR bandwidth wider than the total bandwidth of the modulated output signal and a modulation repetition rate the same as that of the RF stimulus signal.
