  • Patent number: 11758429
Abstract: Provided are a system for implementing multiple Radio Access Networks (RANs) convergence and a method thereof. The method includes: an anchor RAN establishes a connection with a User Equipment (UE); the anchor receives a RAB establishment request from a Core Network (CN); the anchor RAN selects an auxiliary RAN; the anchor RAN sends quality of service (QoS) parameters to the auxiliary RAN, so that the auxiliary RAN establishes a connection with the UE according to the QoS parameters, while the anchor RAN keep the connection with the UE. With the methods provided in embodiments for the present disclosure, multiple RANs convergence is implemented, and the UE establishes connections with the anchor RAN and the auxiliary RAN at the same time, so as to improve the peak rate of the UE.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are devices, systems and methods for processing remotely at a remote server or cloud platform data relating to emergency communications (phone calls, text messages, etc.) received by Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs), in particular emergency communications received and handled by emergency communication handling systems at the PSAP which support serial communication and have no network connectivity. To overcome this limitation, one or more serial-to-Internet Protocol (IP) gateways are deployed in the PSAP to: (a) receive the incident data from the emergency communication handling systems and encapsulate the incident data in its raw form in IP packets, and (b) transmit the IP packets to the remote processing system. The remote processing system then parses the incident data according to parsing rule(s) applicable for the PSAP from which the incident data is received, format the incident data and process the formatted data to optimize communication handling operation of the PSAPs.

Abstract: An apparatus for interfacing with a circuit switched network may be configured to detect when a data carrier signal from a circuit switched network is offline. While the data carrier signal from the circuit switched network is offline, the apparatus may send, to a network element coupled with the circuit switched network via the apparatus, control packets indicating that the data carrier signal is offline. The apparatus may further maintain an active data carrier signal between the apparatus and the network device by sending, to the network element, protocol idle frames. Abstract: The present invention discloses a system and method for service matching of IM software, which is adapted for operating between a plurality of user devices and a plurality of IM software supplier servers. The IM software supplier server provides at least one IM software associated service. The user device merely installs one of the plurality of IM software, and the user device can access services provided by different IM software supplier servers. The service matching method comprises: relaying a service request to the corresponding IM software supplier server according to a correspondence table defining the IM software and names of the IM software associated service when the user device makes the service request; and returning a feedback of the corresponding IM software supplier server to the user device made the service request.

  • Patent number: 9992198
Abstract: Techniques described herein may be used to enable users to access services protected by two-factor security systems without having to provide additional authentication information (e.g., a portion of the user's social security number, biometric information, etc.). An application server may provide one or more services, such as a social networking service, an online banking service, etc. When a user device attempts to access the service, the user may provide a username and password, to the application server, as the first factor of a two-factor authentication process required to access the service. However, instead of requiring the user to provide additional authentication information (e.g., the second factor), a network authentication server, the application server, and the user device may collaborate to automatically provide the additional authentication information.

  • Patent number: 9906401
Abstract: With exponential growth in virtualized traffic within physical data centers, many end users (e.g., individuals and enterprises) have begun moving work processes and data to cloud computing platforms. However, accessing virtualized traffic traversing the cloud computing platforms for application, network, and security analysis is a challenge. Introduced here, therefore, are visibility platforms for monitoring virtualized traffic traversing a cloud computing platform, such as Amazon Web Services, VMware, and OpenStack. A visibility platform can be integrated into a cloud computing platform to provide a coherent view of virtualized traffic in motion across the cloud computing platform for a given end user. Said another way, a visibility platform can intelligently select, filter, and forward virtualized traffic belonging to an end user to a monitoring infrastructure, thereby eliminating traffic blind sports.

Abstract: Presently disclosed are systems and methods for identifying interconnections among physical-layer cross-connect switches. One embodiment takes the form of a method of discovering external connections among a plurality of interconnected physical-layer cross connects (PLCCs). The method includes maintaining external-link mapping data for the plurality of PLCCs, which each include a plurality of ports. The method further includes determining that a first data sequence that was transmitted outbound via a first port of a first PLCC matches a second data sequence that was received inbound via a second port of the second PLCC, and responsively updating the external-link mapping data to indicate an external connection between the first port of the first PLCC and the second port of the second PLCC.
