  • Patent number: 10813014
Abstract: A radio network device, having a narrowband receiver and operative in a wireless communication network, exploits the periodicity of transmission of network sync signals by iteratively receiving a plurality of frequency-offset portions of the sync signal, and then assembling the portions to recreate the entire sync signal. The recreated sync signal is then processed to attempt network detection and synchronization. In some embodiments, frequency/time compensation may be applied to the received and stored sync signal portions, prior to their combination, to compensate for uncertainty in the frequency drift (and time drift due to frequency error) of the sync signal location.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may coordinate power utilization across component carriers (CCs) with different transmission time interval (TTI) configurations. For example, the UE may reserve a portion of the transmit power for a CC with a reduced TTI length (e.g., an enhanced CC (eCC)). Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments providing carrier separation to effectuate a dual carrier operation of a wireless communication device. Processing circuitry may acquire a single carrier signal based on a determined time slot boundary, the single carrier signal comprising primary carrier data. The processing circuitry may receive a dual carrier radio frequency signal based on the determined time slot boundary, the dual carrier radio frequency signal comprising the primary carrier data and secondary carrier data. The processing circuitry may then generate a baseband dual carrier signal by demodulating the dual carrier radio frequency signal. The processing circuitry may separate the primary carrier data from the baseband dual carrier signal by filtering the baseband dual carrier signal. The processing circuitry may also separate the secondary carrier data from the baseband dual carrier signal by filtering the baseband dual carrier signal.

Abstract: It is desired to suitably carry out transmission processing and reception processing carried out when transmitting a multicarrier signal where specific subcarriers are omitted. Therefore, the present invention carries out transmission avoidance processing operable when transmitting a multicarrier signal to replace signals corresponding to subcarriers, in a plurality of subcarriers, at frequency positions where transmission is avoided with a null signal. Subsequently, an inverse Fourier transform is carried out on the output of the transmission avoidance processing, the transmission power of the multicarrier signal that has been transformed is amplified in accordance with the number of subcarriers replaced with the null signal and the multicarrier signal is transmitted.
