Abstract: Techniques for monitoring and reporting a liquid level of a commodity in a tank includes measuring a commodity level in the tank using a tank meter and transmitting information indicating the commodity level to a server. A user may access the information from a user interface of a device to view the commodity level of the tank, informing the user of whether the commodity level is low. A provider of the commodity may receive a notification when the tank level is low. Information about the location of the tank may be used to schedule a future delivery of the commodity to one or more tanks.
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for metering water are disclosed. In one aspect, a method includes the actions of receiving, from a first meter that is connected to a first pipe, first audio data collected during a time period and first temperature data collected during the time period. The actions further include receiving, from a second meter that is connected to a second pipe, second audio data collected during the time period and second temperature data collected during the time period. The actions further include, based on the first audio data, the first temperature data, the second audio data, and the second temperature data, determining a first amount of material that has flowed through the first pipe during the time period relative to a second amount of material that has flowed through the second pipe.

Abstract: Software that uses actual, historic building management system (BMS) data and/or machine logic to estimate an amount of energy that would have been consumed (and saved) had the BMS been operated under the control of an energy management system (EMS). The software performs the following steps: (i) receiving first actual BMS information relating to operation of a first set of appliance(s) located in a first building during a first time interval; (ii) selecting a first proposed EMS rule set; and (iii) determining a first contrafactual energy resource use value based, at least in part, on the first actual BMS information, with the first contrafactual use value corresponding to an amount of energy resources that would have been consumed by the first set of appliance(s) if the BMS had operated the first set of appliance(s) under control of the first proposed EMS rule set.

Abstract: A solution for measuring steam quality in a steam turbine is disclosed. A steam quality measurement (SQM) device and an ejector are coupled to a steam turbine through an appropriate piping configuration to draw steam emitted from the turbine through the SQM device for measurement of the steam quality, for example, continuously, during operation of the turbine.
