Abstract: A portable X-ray imaging apparatus has an electronic cassette and a console capable of receiving an imaging order. The console has a wireless communication section, a trigger signal obtaining section, a connection determining section, a switching section, and a delivery requesting section. The wireless communication section receives radio waves and connects itself to an access point (AP). The trigger signal obtaining section obtains a trigger signal while the mobile radiography unit stands still. At the time of obtaining the trigger signal, the connection determining section determines one of the APs as an appropriate AP based on field intensity. The switching section switches the connection to the appropriate AP. Then, the delivery requesting section transmits a delivery request for the imaging order.

Abstract: A flat panel detector has pixels for obtaining image signals and detective pixels for detecting the amount of incident x-rays. A signal processing circuit is of a pipeline-type, wherein first and second buffer memories are connected to the output of an A/D converter. In a dose detecting operation, the signal processing circuit repeats primary cycles alternately with secondary cycles of a shorter length than the primary cycles. In the primary cycle, a dose detection signal based on electric charges from the detective pixels is input in the first buffer memory and, simultaneously, a dummy signal is output from the second buffer memory. In secondary cycle, the dose detection signal is output from the first buffer memory and, simultaneously, a second dummy signal is input in the second buffer memory. Abstract: An electronic device employs a seal member to seal a battery pack to a housing member to prevent contaminants from entering into a battery bay. The electronic device includes a housing member having an exterior surface a portion of which defines a recess, an electronic assembly contained inside the housing member, and an battery pack received in the recess in the exterior surface of the housing member and electrically connected to the electronic assembly inside the housing member. The seal member engages the battery pack and the housing member along an outer circumference of the battery pack and an inner circumference of the recess such that the seal member seals the gap between the outer circumference of the battery pack and the inner circumference of the recess, thereby preventing contaminants from an external environment from entering into an interior of the recess through the gap.

Abstract: A diagnostic device system has a weight-reduced rechargeable battery. When a portable radiographic apparatus and a portable X-ray source are carried to and used for imaging at a private home or a care home, the portable radiographic apparatus and the portable X-ray source are loaded on an automobile. When the charge amount of rechargeable batteries for operation housed in the portable radiographic apparatus or the portable X-ray source loaded on the automobile is low, or when there are plural destinations and the charge amount of the rechargeable batteries becomes low, a rechargeable battery for charging mounted on the automobile is used to charge the rechargeable batteries for operation while traveling. Because the rechargeable batteries for operation are charged while traveling, a large number of rechargeable batteries for operation does not need to be charged in advance, whereby the weight of the rechargeable batteries for operation can be reduced.
