Abstract: A system for retargeting customers is based on a mobile device query initiated by a user, and includes a query module configured to receive a query with geographical information from the mobile device and determine geographical identifiers of the mobile device. An indexed database stores an aggregated plurality of customers having a geographical identifier proximate to the determined geographical area, and a processor selects an advertiser located proximate to the determined geographical area. A performance feedback module is configured to assign an effectiveness rating to one or more advertisements provided by the selected advertiser based on marketing attributes of the aggregated plurality of customers.

Abstract: A plurality of electronic devices can share a single phone number with each other. One of the electronic devices includes a display, a communication circuit, a processor operatively connected to the display and the communication circuit, and a memory operatively connected to the processor and configured to store a plurality of call logs. The memory stores instructions causing, when executed, the processor to receive a call request via the phone number, to transmit a first call log associated with a missed call to a server in response to a stopped reception of the call request, to receive a first response signal regarding transmission of the first call log from the server, to store the first call log in the memory, based on the first response signal, to receive a push signal from the server, and to update the first call log stored in the memory, based on the push signal.

Abstract: A system can be operable to receive a call from a communication device and identify whether the call is a spoofed based on, for example, whether a caller party user equipment associated with a caller identification number (caller ID number) is in an “idle” status, whether there are inconsistencies in the geographic location associated with a calling party's network and the geographic location determined to be associated with the caller ID number presented, and whether the phone number presented as the caller ID number is registered with a calling party's network.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure involve systems, methods, computer program products, and the like, for collaboration conferencing with multiple participants over a communications network, and more specifically for a conferencing controller in the network configured to control certain aspects of establishing a collaboration conference. In one particular embodiment, the user of the network may access the control system application to provide one or more conferencing parameters or settings the user wishes to be present during a collaboration conference session. The parameters may then be established by the control system and associated with the conferencing session involving the user. In one embodiment, such information may be associated with the identification token. In yet a further embodiment, a user to the collaboration control system may subscribe to receive a notification when another user of the system accesses a portion of a collaboration of the system.

In some configurations, the at least one processor is configured to receive a communication, and determine whether the communication is from a contact associated with a restricted group. The call connection status is monitored, and the message is presented at least while the call is connected and the device is operating in the pre-defined mode of operation.

The device may selectively provide, to the network device, an authentication token in association with the resolution query based on determining whether the authentication condition is satisfied. The authentication token may enable an endpoint device, associated with the call, to perform a particular action based on the call.

Abstract: Detailed information about a party can be provided during interparty communication. Data-capable mobile devices query at least a public database to retrieve information about a set of parties engaged in communication. The results of the database query are employed to provide detailed caller identification and detail functionality to telephones or communication devices not utilizing traditional landlines or commercial caller identification service. Storage can be included to include address book function, query caching, and user preferences. An interface can be provided to facilitate display of rich caller identification information. The interface can further update displayed information without user input, or provide user selection control to request more information on a selected portion of displayed information. These features can be applied to determine the information about a party that is either receiving a communication or initiating a communication.

Abstract: A method of authenticating a call origination directed to an enterprise call center. The method comprises receiving a first call origination message from a communication network by a computer system, wherein the first call origination message comprises an automatic number identification (ANI) storing a first phone number, determining by the computer system that the first phone number is not associated with an originator of the first call origination message, and responsive to determining that the first phone number is not associated with the originator of the first call origination message, dropping the first call origination message by the computer system and not answering the associated call, whereby the enterprise call center reduces its vulnerability to call origination spoofing.

Abstract: Agencies issue multiple devices to personnel for maintaining distinct identities over the course of assigned investigations. To provide flexible capabilities to agencies, a phone is converted for use with multiple attached telephone numbers. Accordingly, a single phone may be used to manage multiple identities over the course of one or more investigations. Using a multiple attached number, a given device can place and receive calls over the network to and from contacts. In addition to providing multiple attached numbers, calls using the multiple attached numbers may be monitored live and recorded to establish evidence.

Abstract: An analyzer resource receives call information about outbound phone calls from multiple phone numbers to target phone numbers in a phone network. The analyzer resource analyzes the call information to detect likely unwanted call activity. Based on the analyzing, the analyzer resource produces a list of phone numbers from which one or more entities originate unwanted calls to the subscribers in the phone network.

Abstract: A system may be configured to allow for storage of location information regarding a set of user devices. The location information may be updated relatively frequently, and without introducing additional traffic into a wireless telecommunications network associated with the user devices. The location information may be made available to internal devices associated with the wireless telecommunications network and/or to external third party devices (such as banks, payment card processors, or advertisers) with user consent. Since the information is obtained and stored prior to requests, the location information may be provided, in response to requests, relatively quickly.

Abstract: A system and method for enabling a telephone number to be called in an anonymous manner by associating an identifier with the telephone number and providing for calling the number via the identifier. In one embodiment, the telephone call, including communication of the telephone number is performed using encryption. The identifier may be an email address or user identifier. Other users may call the telephone number via a website that operates as a virtual payphone, using software downloaded to a computer or other communication device, or by calling a voice portal, for example.

Abstract: A third party call control (3PCC) application program interface (API) permits for users to use a web browser or other Internet capable software to place a call. The third party call control application program interface includes a first uniform resource locator operable over the Internet to effect a call between first and telephonic devices to be completed. The first uniform resource locator includes identification of the first telephonic device and identification of the second telephonic device.

Abstract: A system for verifying an association between an application and a mobile computing device. The application is identified by an application instance identifier, which uniquely identifies the instance of the application on the mobile computing device. The system receives a request to verify the application, including the application instance identifier. The system also obtains a mobile device identifier used to communicate with the mobile computing device. The system initiates one or more telephone call setup messages, which signal a voice call request, to the mobile computing device using the mobile device identifier. Based on receiving an indication that the one or more telephone call setup messages were detected at the mobile computing device, the system associates the application instance identifier with the mobile device identifier.

Abstract: A system for verifying an association between an application and a mobile computing device. The system receives a request to verify the application, which has an application instance identifier, on the mobile computing device. The system also obtains a mobile device identifier used to communicate with the mobile computing device. The system initiates one or more telephone call setup messages, which signal a voice call request, to the mobile computing device using the mobile device identifier. Based on receiving an indication that the one or more telephone call setup messages were detected at the mobile computing device, the system associates the application instance identifier with the mobile device identifier.

Abstract: Systems and methods according to these exemplary embodiments provide active call concierge services wherein a network tracks users' behaviors with respect to, for example, supplementary services. When a user invokes a supplementary service toward a called party, the network captures this data. The network informs an agent on the user's device that it should prompt the user to reuse the same supplementary service the next time that the user dials the same called party. If the user inputs an acceptance of this suggestion, the user's device automatically appends or adds the service code associated with the repeated supplementary service to the outgoing call setup signal.

Abstract: A system and method for reducing unwanted telemarketing calls may include storing a contact list for users of a telephone assigned to an associated telephone number. An incoming telephone call from a caller may be intercepted and a determination may be made as to whether the caller is in the contact list. In response to determining that the caller is in the contact list, the incoming call may be connected to the telephone assigned to the called telephone number. Otherwise, in response to determining that the caller is not in the contact list, the caller may be prompted with an audible message, and, in response to the caller responding to the audible message by entering a first response, the incoming call may be blocked from connecting to the called telephone. Otherwise, in response to a second response, the incoming call may be connected.

Then, in response to the second telephone determining that a telephone number in one of the contact records generates a message digest that matches the first message digest, the second telephone identifies the contact record that generates the matching message digest and provides audible or visual output of content from the identified contact record.

Abstract: A telecommunication system is arranged between a trusted automated interactive system and a non-secure agent. The trusted automated interactive portion is operable for bidirectional communications with a caller. The agent portion is arranged to be bridged onto a communication connection between the caller (or network chat user) and the trusted interactive system under certain conditions. Sensitive data transmitted between the system and a calling user may be blocked from being communicated to the agent even while the agent is bridged onto the connection. In one embodiment, information (such as a verification of authenticity of the caller) pertaining to the sensitive data (but not the sensitive data itself) is communicated to the agent.

Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for providing telephone number sharing services to subscribers over public switched telephone network or data network. The disclosed system maintains a bank of reusable caller identifiers (IDs). The system receives call details of a call from a subscriber of the system. The call details include a caller identifier (ID) preference of the subscriber and a called number corresponding to the called party. The system stores the call details in a database. The system determines whether the call from the subscriber is a first call to the called number. In response to the call being the first call to the called number, the system assigns a call ID from the bank of reusable caller IDs that satisfies the reusable caller ID preference of the subscriber, and connects the call to the called number along with the caller ID.

Abstract: The present invention is related to telecommunications, and in particular, to methods and systems for processing call signaling data. In an embodiment, a call processing system receives a first message from a switch while the switch is processing a call for a calling party, wherein the first message is initiated at least partly in response to a firing of a call event trigger configured within a switch. The first message includes call signaling information, including the calling party's phone number. The calling party's phone number is stored in the call processing system. A communication channel is established over a network between the call processing system and a computer associated with the called party. A message is transmitted to the networked computer, the message including the calling party's phone number, wherein the calling party's phone number is intended to be displayed on the networked computer associated with the called party.

Abstract: A method and system for communicating a variable set of contextual information relating to a conversation over a communication channel is provided. When the contextual information is exchanged, any authorized sending party of the contextual information can change the scope, content, or amount of the contextual information that is transmitted to a next receiving party in a determined communication channel path. Before transmitting the contextual information, a desirable scope of the contextual information may be determined based on the next receiving party, in conjunction with the sending party's rules. The contextual information may be updated by adding new contextual information and/or deleting part of the contextual information which is outside of the scope. No contextual information may be transmitted if the next destination desires no contextual information or does not have capabilities to receive any contextual information.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and products provide called party identification to a calling party. A communication is processed from a calling communications address to one of a plurality of communications addresses associated with a simultaneous ring. When an answer is detected at one of the plurality of communications addresses, an answering communications address is sent to the calling communications address.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media, for facilitating incoming spoof call determinations are provided. In some embodiments, the method includes receiving call-setup data including a point code associated with origination of a call intended for a receiving device. The point code can be utilized to determine that the call intended for the receiving device is a spoof call. Such a spoof call can be initiated by a spoof-calling party associated with a number and is intended to provide an indication to the receiving device that the call is associated with another number.

Abstract: A method of setting up a call between a user and at least one destination comprises, prior to setting up the call, a masking stage for masking the identifier, which stage comprises the following steps, for at least one destination: intercepting an identifier of the destination as input by the user; and modifying a signal including the identifier and used for displaying the identifier, or for setting up said call.

The disclosed system maintains a bank of reusable caller identifiers (IDs). The system receives call details of a call from a subscriber of the system. The system determines whether the call from the subscriber is a first call to the called number. In response to the call being the first call to the called number, the system assigns a call ID from the bank of reusable caller IDs that satisfies the reusable caller ID preference of the subscriber, and connects the call to the called number along with the caller ID.

Abstract: Techniques in a wireless device for use in providing restrictions on communications via a cellular network are described. The device receives, from a private network which is external to the cellular network, an IT policy associated with an organization of the private network. The IT policy includes communication restriction information. The device also receives, over a wireless link of the cellular network, data messages via the private network. The device determines whether a communication from the device is restricted by comparing a user selected code of a communication attempt from the device with one or more codes of the communication restriction information. When the communication is determined to be restricted based on the comparing, the device disallows the communication via the cellular network. When the communication is determined to be unrestricted based on the comparing, the device allows the communication via the cellular network.

Abstract: The present invention relates to telecommunications, and in particular, to systems and processes for processing telephone calls and providing telephony services. In one embodiment, a call processing system, compromises a first telephony interface configured to receive a call from a caller, a storage device configured to store a greeting, and a call answering system. The call answering system is configured to play the greeting in response to receiving the call, record a voice message from the caller, determine when the caller has completed recording the voice message, after determining that the caller has completed recording the voice message, play a prompt regarding the caller becoming a subscriber to call services provided by the call processing system, receive from the caller information used to establish a call services account, and establish a call services account for the caller.

Abstract: In accordance with one configuration, a network communication manager identifies an expected duration of time to complete playback of the streaming content. Subsequent to receiving a do not disturb command, the network communication manager prevents visual notifications of future phone calls during the estimated duration of time to provide undisturbed playback of the streaming content on the display screen. Accordingly, embodiments herein support a do not disturb function in which a subscriber can prevent display of visual notifications such as phone call alerts (e.g., pop-up text messages) on the display screen during playback of the streaming content. The do not disturb functionality can be disabled in response to any suitable trigger such as that the subscriber has terminated playback of the streaming content, playback of the streaming content completed, etc.

Abstract: Method and apparatus for monitoring a communication network is described. In one example, call detail record data generated by network elements in the communication network is parsed to identify occurrence of a plurality of blocked calls over a time period. A plurality of consolidated call detail records for the plurality of blocked calls are respectively generated from the call detail record data. Each of the plurality of consolidated call detail records includes an originating telephone number. The originating telephone number of each of the plurality of consolidated call detail records is then processed to identify unique originating telephone numbers for the plurality of blocked calls.

The instigator-identifiable is associated with a first identification characteristic and the target-identifiable is associated with a second identification characteristic. This method subsequently retrieves a reminder reference that is responsive to the first identification characteristic and the second identification characteristic and presents the reminder reference to the target-identifiable. The method also establishes the subsequent electronic real-time communication between the instigator-identifiable and the target-identifiable.

If there is a match, a preselected action other than completing the incoming communication is taken or incoming communication is completed if an override condition is set. If there is no match, incoming communication is passed through and the subscriber can designate it as an unwanted marketing communication if a preselected criterion for addition is met once more than one subscriber identifies the contacting party identification as a potential marketing communication.

Abstract: The present invention relates to telephone call processing. In one embodiment, a call processing system receives from a caller a first call for a user, the first call including call signaling information. The call processing system determines whether the call signaling information includes caller identification information and whether the call signaling information indicates that the caller identification information is restricted. If the caller identification information is restricted, the call processing system instructs the caller to take a first action so that the caller identification information can be provided to the user. The call processing system determines whether the caller has performed the first action during the first call, and if the caller has performed the first action during the first call, the call processing system provides at least a portion of the caller identification information to the user.
