Abstract: Various embodiments that pertain to a bridge between networks. There can be a desire for a first communication network to share messages with a second communication network. However, these networks can individually have their own security measures that make direct network-to-network communication difficult if not impossible. Therefore, a bridge can be created that allows for communication between the networks.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a telecommunication apparatus includes a processor to generate a telephone call set-up message including a user-to-user information (UUI) field, and include a security token in the UUI field of the telephone call set-up message, and a network interface to send the telephone call set-up message to a telephone network. Abstract: The embodiments of the present disclosure provide a data transmitting method and a system. The target bluetooth earphone is applied to a data transmitting system. The data transmitting system includes a mobile terminal and a plurality of earphones, the mobile terminal and the plurality of bluetooth earphones are connected in sequence thereby forming a connection loop, in which each of the plurality of bluetooth earphones corresponds to two transmission paths for transmitting audio data to the mobile terminal. In the method, the target bluetooth earphone receives audio data. The target bluetooth earphone determines a target device, wherein the target device is adjacent to the target bluetooth earphone in the connection loop and on the shorter of the two transmission paths, and the target device is one of the plurality of bluetooth earphones or the mobile terminal. The target bluetooth earphone transmits the audio data to the target device.

The microphone is coupled to an audio processor configured to receive at least one audio signal from the at least one microphone and generate a first encrypted audio signal and a second encrypted audio signal The secure processing unit is configured to: receive the first encrypted audio signal from the audio processor, decrypt the first encrypted audio signal, and responsive to determining that the first encrypted audio signal includes an unlock command, output an indication of a decryption key. The general processing unit is configured to: receive the second encrypted audio signal from the audio processor, and decrypt the second encrypted audio signal with the decryption key.

Abstract: A system and method for providing a Proxied Contact Management System (PCMS) so that individual owners of personal contact data may control and manage the access and dissemination of their personal data and also control who may contact them. The owner of personal contact data may securely register the data with a secured information vault of the PCMS and specify which other parties may contact them. In this way, duplication of the personal data is avoided, but at the same time is always current. In use, a second party's device, such as a telephone or a PDA may request that the PCMS, under public key infrastructure (PKI) control, establish a connection with the first party. Once verified, the PCMS may establish a proxy connection between the first and second parties according to the permitted mode of communication defined by criteria established by the first party and managed by the PCMS.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for enrolling in a database voice prints generated from audio streams may include receiving an audio stream of a communication session and creating a preliminary association between the audio stream and an identity of a customer that has engaged in the communication session based on identification information. The method may further include determining a confidence level of the preliminary association based on authentication information related to the customer and if the confidence level is higher than a threshold, sending a request to compare the audio stream to a database of voice prints of known fraudsters. If the audio stream does not match any known fraudsters, sending a request to generate from the audio stream a current voice print associated with the customer and enrolling the voice print in a customer voice print database.

Abstract: A security device for hindering data theft and data leaks via audio channel of a computer system is based on passing the audio signals through a coding vocoder that receives input audio signal from a computer and compressing the signal to a low bit-rate digital data indicative of human speech; and a decoding vocoder that decompress the digital data back to a secure audio signal. The data transfer of the protected audio channel is intentionally limited not to exceed the bit-rate needed to carry vocoder-compressed human speech which is well below the capabilities of unprotected audio channel. Both analog and digital audio ports may be protected. Hardware bit-rate limiter protect the system from software hacking.

When the determination indicates that the communication terminal has the state associated with the current state of the counterpart communication terminal, the content data transmitted from the counterpart communication terminal is output for display at the communication terminal.

In one embodiment, the present invention is a communication jack comprising back-rotated plug interface contacts having variable cross-sectional widths. In another embodiment, the present invention is a communication jack having back-rotated plug interface contacts where at least two of the plug interface contacts have a differing beam length. In yet another embodiment, the present invention is a communication jack having back-rotated plug interface contacts where at least two of the plug interface contacts have opposing bends in a deflection zone.

Abstract: Relating to a solenoid used as a solenoid valve, a holding circuit and the like for suppressing the occurrence of back electromotive force, and preventing magnetic flux density from deterioration, without a major change of the conventional circuit constitution, is provided. A capacitor is connected in parallel with a resistance which is connected in series to a solenoid. The solenoid is driven at rated voltage by making a first switch and a second switch ON state and the solenoid is kept at holding voltage by making the first switch OFF state. The capacitor slows down the speed of change of applied voltage to the solenoid from the rated voltage to the holding voltage so that the back electromotive force of the solenoid is absorbed, which prevents the extinguishment of magnetic flux density.

Abstract: A button box provides additional keys that can be used in conjunction with a telephone. In one embodiment, a button box is configured by associating it with a telephone and by programming its keys. When a key on the button box is activated, a key press event is sent from the button box to the associated phone. The phone treats the key press event as if a key on the phone itself had been activated and forwards the event to the voice switch appliance associated with the phone. (Alternatively, the key press event is sent from the button box directly to a voice switch appliance.) The button box's user interface is controlled by a voice switch appliance.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems and techniques for identifying VoIP phone connector locations whereby an emergency call request can be specifically located on a VoIP phone network. This system addresses prior-art shortcomings in which the location information is attempted to be tracked with identification information stored in VoIP phones, or in which databases of location information are created relative to MAC addresses of component pieces of the VoIP phone network (such as the VoIP phones themselves, data switches, or LAN routers) in that the VoIP phone connectors are fixedly mounted in buildings and their locations can be more reliably fixed and maintained. Further described are methods for establishing databases of location and/or caller information associated with these VoIP phone connectors.

Each page can comprise locations for a plurality of photographs. Selectors can be provided for selecting one of the photograph locations on the selected page. Telephone numbers of persons or places depicted in photographs on the pages can be stored in a digital memory. A telephone call can be initiated to a particular person or place by selecting the page and photograph location on the page of that person or place.

The first signal is released towards the called party. The adaptor of this invention comprises means for determining when the master controlling telephone is on hook and not in use, the adaptor disables the slave telephone. Abstract: An application programming interface (API) enables a telephone to utilize the hardware resources of a computer that is connected to the telephone in a master/slave relationship that causes the computer to function in the manner of a peripheral to the telephone. Specifically, the telephone attached to the computer can utilize the relatively large memory capacity of the attached computer to store excess telephone-specific data and can utilize the relatively high sophistication of the processing capability of the connected computer to perform intensive data processing operations. The API allows the functionality of the telephone to be extended without requiring a telephony-equipped computer.

Abstract: A headset storage device includes a headset cradle, a switch and a manual override device. The headset cradle has two positions: a first position when the headset cradle is supporting a headset and a second position when the headset cradle is not supporting a headset. The switch couples the audio signal to the alternate audio system when the headset cradle is in the first position and to the headset when the headset cradle is in the second position. The manual override device forces the headset cradle into one of the two positions regardless of whether the headset cradle is supporting a headset.

Abstract: An adapter for connection to telephone lines to provide a filter for ESL connections to the telephone lines has pivoting latches that will engage existing studs on a wall mounted jack plate. The housing has a circuit board with a connector that will plug into the telephone jack on the wall mounted jack plate, and has outlet jacks for connection to remote equipment. The latches pivot between a released position wherein they clear the existing studs so that the housing can be placed against the existing wall mounted jack plate, and a latched position where the latches are held in place on the studs and the housing is supported on the existing jack plate. Studs provided on the housing replicate the position of the studs on the existing jack plate.

Abstract: A method for adapting supplementary equipment, such as automatic answering equipments, intercommunication stations, automatic dialers and the like, to an analog telecommunications terminal as well as to a technical device for the implementation of the method. The supplementary equipment is inserted into the voice-communication path of the terminal in that the network access line of the terminal is accessed and in that the picked-off incoming voice signal is sent to the supplementary equipment and to a voice input/output unit electrically separate from the terminal equipment. The system also includes a communication device, coupled to the terminal device, for receiving the dial command string from the terminal device, for storing a plurality of pre-determined symbol sequences including standard telephone numbers and reserved telephone number sequences representing different data service options, and for comparing the contents of the dial command string with the stored pre-determined symbol sequences.

Abstract: The telephone line coupler circuit has a single transmit opto-coupler whose output includes a DC bias component connected to a gate of a line seize switch for connecting a DC line seize load across the ring and tip contacts of the telephone line. The line seize switch is saturated by the transmit opto-coupler bias output and the AC component of the transmit opto-coupler output is sent over the telephone lines. The receive opto-coupler is used both for receiving communications signal and for detecting the ring signal. The band pass filter connected to the output of the receive opto-coupler may be switched to pass a ring signal frequency band or a communications frequency band. The circuit operates using two opto-coupler devices while conventional circuits require four opto-coupler devices.
