An enhancement includes both an unlocking cam and a second locking cam structure. The method includes biasing the button to a locking position and moving one cam over another thereby flexing the tongue from a locked to a button release position. The actuator maybe biased outboard or upward via a plastic spring on the actuator-plunger. A plastic leaf spring may be provided between a clip arm and the button clip mount body. A lock or latch may lock on the actuator-plunger.

Abstract: Provided is a clamp for fastening a portable electronic device. The clamp comprises two spring biased sliding arms and a spring biased trigger member. Pushing the trigger member toward the body will move the shuttle member upward to unlock both arms for extending thereafter. In response to sandwiching the device between the arms releasing the trigger member will push the trigger member outward and the shuttle member downward respectively for locking the ridges. In a case of the device having its ports provided at one side or both sides thereof, two central, rectangular openings of the arms are adapted to allow the ports to dispose therein for causing no interference to a normal operation of the fastened device. A distance between both arms can be adjusted by sliding one arm toward or away from the other arm or sliding both arms toward or away from each other.

The enclosure is shaped such that when the enclosure is placed on a flat surface with the surface facing the flat surface, the structure causes the surface to be canted from the flat surface to expose the speaker grill to ambient air.

Abstract: A holder for a mobile communication device comprises a receptacle for optimally reducing the SAR value of a mobile communication device secured within the receptacle. At least one material portion, a patch, causing electromagnetic losses may be placed within the receptacle to optimally reduce exposure to low level radio frequency energy to an individual carrying a mobile telephone secured within the receptacle. The patch formed of electromagnetic field reducing material may be placed in one or more particular areas of the receptacle to attenuate one or more corresponding regions of the mobile telephone in which the SAR value is substantially at a local maximum. This may allow a reduction of the SAR value of a mobile telephone while limiting the performance loss associated with the reduction of the SAR value of the mobile telephone when the mobile telephone is secured within the receptacle.

Abstract: A mobile telephone handset includes an elongated housing having a carabiner latch pivotally attached at a battery door on the rear side of the housing. The carabiner latch includes a hook portion having a spring-biased latch pivotally attached thereto for attaching the latch to a support element, such as a strap, loop or ring attached to a back-pack or other article of wearing apparel. The latch is stored within a door recess that receives the latch for storage purposes. The latch can be swung outwardly away from the housing to a variety of positions. Abstract: This invention provides a means of coupling a detachable member, like a cellular phone for example, to a rotational member, but only when the rotational member is coupled to a base member. The invention also provides a means of presenting the detachable member to the user. In one exemplary application, the invention is coupled to a console of an automobile. The detachable member is secured to the rotational member by a retention hood at the bottom of the rotational member. A sliding latch in the rotational member has a hook that engages a detente in the detachable member when the rotational member engages the base member. The invention thus holds the detachable member in a fixedly stable position when the rotational member couples with the base member.

By pressing down the pressing button, the lock, the gear and the long resilient member interact with one another to achieve the attachment of the PDA.

The rear surface of the cup includes a double-sided adhesive pad to provide attachment of the cup to a vehicle dashboard surface or the like. The cup concentrates the force of the magnet along the frontal edges thereof. A friction ring encircles the frontal edges of the cup to provide enhanced retention of a cell phone secured to the cup by magnetic attraction between the internal magnet and the cell phone battery or other metallic portion thereof. Alternate embodiments are shown which provide different shapes of cup and magnet and which provide differing attachments such as suction cups or belt clips for retaining the magnetic holder. In a further alternate embodiment, the packaging provided for the cup holder is constructed to facilitate the multiple display of the a plurality of cup holders and packages in typical point of sale environment.

Abstract: A telephone system apparatus and method adapted for use on an aircraft seatback which provides an electrical connection point (i.e., jack) formed on a housing of the telephone system. The connection point permits coupling of a user's laptop computer to an on-board network, while the housing also provides the electrical connection point for a telephone handset. In one embodiment a pair of additional electrical connection points are provided for allowing more than one individual to couple his/her laptop computer to phone system, and thus gain access to the network. The telephone system eliminates the need to attach independent jacks at various locations on the seats and efficiently uses the housing of the telephone system for this purpose.

Abstract: A speaker-phone base for supporting a portable telephone electrical interface, in which the interface having an interface electrical power connector and an interface audio connector, includes a base member. The base member defines a portable telephone electrical interface receptacle that is shaped so as to be capable of receiving therein a portable telephone electrical interface. A base electrical power connector is disposed within the receptacle so as to electrically engage the interface power connector when the interface is placed in the receptacle. The base electrical power connector is complementary to the interface electrical power connector and electrically coupled to an electrical power source. A base audio connector is also disposed within the receptacle so as to electrically engage the interface audio connector when the interface is placed in the receptacle. The base audio connector is complementary to the interface audio connector. A speaker and a microphone are each integral with the base member.

Abstract: A portable device for coiling cable and amplifying sound, the device comprises a cover body and an amplifier with a coiled cable, wherein an accommodating space is formed in an inner portion of the cover body, and the accommodating pace partitioned into a first space and a second space by an isolating device. A fixing member is disposed on an outer side of the cover body. The portable device for coiling cable and amplifying sound includes a casing, a cable coiling mechanism, a communication cable, an earphone, a circuit unit, and a connector, wherein the communication cable is coiled around the cable coiling mechanism, and the earphone and the circuit unit connected to the communication cable. The circuit unit has an amplifying element, and the connector connected to the circuit unit by a connecting wire. And the amplifier with a coiled cable is accommodated to the second space of the cover body.

Abstract: A portable type mobile radio telephone apparatus according to the present invention prevents the deterioration of antenna characteristics and obtains transmission/reception characteristics with stable sensitivity, thereby making it possible to stably call and receive a call. The apparatus comprises an antenna for transmitting and receiving radio waves, a transmitter/receiver portion including a microphone/speaker, and a flip board which covers a manipulation portion and freely opens and closes to have an opening/closing range of 270 degrees or more about an opening/closing axis at a lower portion of the flip board. The flip board may have a rotational axis for opening and closing at a lower portion of a back surface of the apparatus and cover a manipulation surface of a manipulation portion and a lower portion of the apparatus.
