  • Patent number: 10305615
Abstract: A media scheduling system includes a national scheduling service and subscribing stations. The scheduling service receives a local broadcast log generated by a local subscribing station. The local broadcast log includes media item identifiers. The local broadcast log is verified and approved by the scheduling service. Verification includes checking the local broadcast log for compliance with digital rights management (DRM) requirements. Approval is based, at least in part, on a trust level associated with the local subscribing station. A national log is generated, based on the local broadcast log, by generating a national clock including clock positions to be filled by items in the local broadcast log, and populating the clock positions in the national log using the media items identifiers included in the local broadcast log. Default editing restrictions for the national log are set, and the national log is transmitted to other local stations for broadcast.

Abstract: Methods, computer readable media, and apparatuses for preventing unauthorized font linking are presented. A request for a font file may be received. It may be determined whether the request is valid, and this determination may be based on a security token and/or a referrer string. If the request is determined to be valid, a first watermark may be embedded in the font file, and the first watermark may be based on the security token. The first watermark may include at least one point in at least one glyph contained in the font file. A second watermark may be embedded in the font file, and the second watermark may include at least one table that identifies a customer. The font file then may be served to the requestor.

  • Patent number: 8413233
Abstract: Systems and methods, including computer software adapted to perform certain operations, can be implemented for preventing content received from non-trusted sources from accessing protected data. A sequence of instructions and multiple permission indicators associated with the sequence of instructions are received. One or more of permission indicators are associated with a protected activity. An instruction within the sequence of instructions associated with the protected activity is identified. A determination is made whether execution of the identified instruction is permitted based, at least in part, on the one or more permission indicators, and the protected activity is performed if execution of the identified instruction is permitted.

  • Patent number: 8401190
Abstract: A method for pairing a first element and a second element, wherein the first element and the second element form a first decoding system among a plurality of receiving decoding systems in a broadcasting network. Each receiving decoding system is adapted to descramble scrambled audiovisual information received over the broadcasting network. A first key unique in the broadcasting network is selected. A second key is determined according to the first key, such that a combination of the first key and the second key enables to decrypt broadcasted encrypted control data that is received to be decrypted by each receiving decoding system, the encrypted control data being identical for each receiving decoding system. The first key and the second key are assigned respectively to the first element and the second element.

  • Patent number: 8204222
Abstract: Methods of steganographically encoding auxiliary data into audio and decoding the auxiliary data. In an encoding method, a processor maps the auxiliary data to samples in the audio data. A processor modifies the mapping of the auxiliary data to the samples over time. A processor modifies a feature of the samples of the audio data to which the code signals are mapped to convey the auxiliary data substantially imperceptibly in the audio data. In a decoding method, a processor performs decoding of a multibit auxiliary code embedded in an audio signal. A processor decodes code values of the auxiliary code from two or more different portions of the audio signal, each having the multibit auxiliary code. A processor combines the code values decoded from the two or more different portions of the audio signal to determine the code values of the auxiliary code.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for managing digital content, which can detect the leakage of an encryption key when the encryption key used for encrypting the digital content is leaked or cracked. When the encrypted digital content is decrypted by an illegal device, a module linked with the encrypted digital content is automatically driven and a digital content managing apparatus is then notified that the encrypted digital content has been decrypted by the illegal device such that the digital content managing apparatus can change the encryption key. Thus, it is possible to prevent the digital content from being continuously leaked due to the use of the same encryption key for encrypting subsequent digital content.
