Electronic Game Using Cryptography Patents (Class 380/251)
  • Patent number: 9208346
Abstract: A persona-notitia intellection codifier (P-NIC) server intelligently codifies and disburses personal user information from a user device (smartphone, laptop, etc.) to a multiplicity of designee devices. Masking Persona-Notitia Intellection Codes (a.k.a. PICs) are created that each stipulate control(s) and parametric limitation(s) for the associated one of a variety of personal user information. The Persona-Notitia Intellection Codifier (P-NIC) server rapidly produces a mask comprising a multiple bit “key” value (i.e., a persona-notitia intellection code (PIC)) that is uniquely distinguishable from every other PIC that's ever been generated for a given user. The value of the PIC is typically many bytes in length, and associates attributes to a unique key value that describes a desired subset of all the user's available personal user information to be unlocked by the key value (i.e., by the PIC).

Preferably, the data are not fully decrypted at any stage of the installation process. The host CPU may be minimally involved (or not involved) in the encryption/decryption process. Some embodiments provide a logic seal (a/k/a a “tell-tale circuit”) that monitors access to a machine. In some such implementations, an encryption/decryption key may be stored in the logic seal. When the logic seal is broken, countermeasures may be taken, e.g., at least some data may be deleted. For example, one or more cryptographic keys may be erased.

  • Patent number: 8151346
Abstract: A disclosed unauthorized usage prevention system enables execution of at least one software item including an identification information item uniquely associated with the software item, based on a key information item in a key module. An information processing apparatus includes a key information storage unit, a control unit, an unauthorized usage prevention controller, and a port. The unauthorized usage prevention controller includes a connection recognition unit and a key information copying unit. When the unauthorized usage prevention controller recognizes that the key module is connected to the port, the unauthorized usage prevention controller copies the key information item in the key module into the key information storage unit, and the control unit enables execution of all of the software items with identification information items associated with the key information items held in the key information storage unit.

Abstract: A system and method is disclosed for assuring that networked communications between parties playing a game on a network (e.g., the Internet) are not tampered with by either of the parties for illicitly gaining an advantage over the other party. An initial sequence of tokens (e.g., card representations) for playing the game are doubly encrypted using an encryption key from each of the parties. Accordingly, during play of the game neither party can modify the initial sequence of game tokens during the game. At termination of the game, at least one of the parties can fully decrypt the initial sequence of tokens, and thereby, if desired, compare the played token sequence with the corresponding the initial token sequence.

  • Patent number: 8130945
Abstract: A public key cryptography (PKI or other similar system) is used to sent partial or multiple of encryption or decryption algorithm (cipher or decipher) to the data sender or receiver to encrypt or decrypt the data to be sent or received and destroy itself after each or multiple use. Since the encryption algorithm is protected, it can be devised very small in size in compare to the data to be sent and the user can afford to use large key size in it's transmission to increase protection without significant compact to the overall speed. Without knowing the encryption algorithm, which may also be changing from time to time, it will be impossible to use brut force to break the code provided that the algorithm scheme is designed properly. It is due to that there are unlimited numbers of new or old algorithms with countless variations and it takes years of supper fast computing time to break even few algorithms.

  • Patent number: 8117461
Abstract: In a gaming environment, a method of periodically downloading dynamically generated executable modules at random intervals that perform system configuration integrity checks in a secure and verifiable manner is disclosed. The dynamically generated executable modules are created on a server machine and are themselves signed using industry standard PKI techniques, and contain randomly chosen subset from a repertoire of proven hashing and encryption algorithms that are executed on the system to be checked to create a unique signature of the state of that system. The dynamically generated executable module returns the signature to the server machine from which it was downloaded and deletes itself from the system being checked. The next time such an executable module is downloaded, it will contain a different randomly chosen subset of hashing and encryption algorithms.

Abstract: A system and method for providing an authentication code across a network for use in authentication of documents, such as printed lottery tickets. The system includes document-printing terminals that include a key that is used in a mathematical function with the bet information for a specific-game entry to generate a document code that is sent to a central server. The central server stores the received document code and then generates an authentication code for the document desired to be printed at the terminal, and sends the authentication code back to the terminal for printing on the issued document. The authentication code can be a further mathematical processing of the document code. Verification of the document occurs from comparison of the authentication code on the document and stored authentication and/or document codes at the server.
