Patent number: 8451229Abstract: A cross key is mounted on a headphone. When a support arm and a connection section are pivoted 180 degrees from the (a)-state to change the position of wearing the headphone between left and right, a head-mounted display is set for use by the right eye, and this turns the cross key upside down. Correspondingly, a function allocated to the upper key is allocated to the lower key and a function allocated to the lower key is allocated to the upper key to obtain the (b)-state. In the (b)-state, the functions are changed such that the function allocated to the upper key is allocated to the upper key and the function allocated to the lower key is allocated to the lower key. A cross key does not require any change in key functions and left as is.Type: GrantFiled: July 20, 2007Date of Patent: May 28, 2013Assignee: Nikon CorporationInventors: Masaki Otsuki, Nobuyuki Miyake, Yasuki Nagaoka, Toru Fujie

Patent number: 7903833Abstract: A headworn listening device includes a right ear assembly and a left ear assembly interconnected by a headband. The headworn listening device is preferably comfortable to wear and provides high-quality audio and flexible signal processing features without requiring customized fitting. The listening device includes a signal processor with programmable signal processing characteristics and a memory storing a plurality of user-selectable signal processing settings. For example, there may be signal processing settings for different environments, such as a first setting for a quiet environment and a second setting for a noisy environment. In operation, a user actuates a user-operable control coupled to a microcontroller to select a desired signal processing setting.Type: GrantFiled: March 6, 2007Date of Patent: March 8, 2011Assignee: Hearing Enhancement GroupInventors: Jack Goldberg, Randy L. Publication number: 20110007927Abstract: A communications headset includes bone vibrating transducers supported over the temporal bones of a wearer in front of each ear and an earpiece. The earpieces, when not in use, are selectively securable in a holster formed on each transducer housing. Radio signals received by a wearer or vehicular mounted radio are processed by and distributed through a communications interface to both the transducers and the earpiece speakers. Ambient or external noises picked up by one or more microphones on each earpiece are processed to reduce ambient noises above a certain level.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 9, 2010Publication date: January 13, 2011Applicant: ATLANTIC SIGNAL, LLCInventors: Randall Hedrick, Darrell W.
