Abstract: A thread winding part or a reinforcing wire winding part is formed by winding a heat resistant fiber thread or a reinforcing wire around the voice coil bobbin in contact with both coil ends of the wire winding part or a coil end of the same on a magnetic-circuit side. A bent part bent outward is formed on the lower end of the voice coil bobbin on the magnetic circuit side. This prevents the wire winding part from shifting from its mounting position and from coming off to the lower side. In the resulting voice coil, the wire winding part hardly comes off the voice coil bobbin even if the wire binding of the wire winding part is loosened by Joule heat, speaker vibrations, etc.

  • Patent number: 7848537
Abstract: A voice coil bobbin is formed by skinpass rolling of pure titanium. A manufacturing method of a voice coil bobbin includes a process which manufactures a rolled pure titanium material, a process which executes skinpass rolling of the rolled material, and a process which forms the rolled material after the skinpass rolling to manufacture the voice coil bobbin. For example, the rolled pure titanium material is manufactured by a standard manufacturing process of a normal rolled material defined by JISH4600, and the cold rolling for the purpose of the strengthening is executed. The cold rolling is executed under a condition of a rolling ratio equal to or larger than 60%. Thereby, it becomes possible to obtain double hardness of JIS No. 1-kind titanium material (TR270C) and tensile strength larger than double of the JIS No. 1-kind titanium material (TR270C) and close to 6-4 titanium.

The voice coil body is supported with a first edge and a second edge, and with the aid of the springiness of gas inside a first space. Hence, an equivalent, low Young's modulus can be set to the first edge and the second. Abstract: Loudspeaker has frame, magnetic circuit, voice coil, diaphragm, first combination and second combination. First combination and second combination are both provided closer to magnetic circuit than diaphragm, the inner rims of which are connected to voice coil while the outer rims are to frame. First combination has first damper and first edge wherein first edge has first edge protrusion protruding in a direction toward diaphragm. Second combination has second damper and second edge wherein second edge has second edge protrusion protruding in an opposite direction to the protruding direction of first edge protrusion. This structure obtains loudspeaker that distortion is suppressed and weight reduction is easy for an excursion part thus improved in driving efficiency.

Abstract: A loudspeaker and components for use in the construction thereof is provided. In one aspect, the present invention relates generally to a new type of loudspeaker comprising a driver having a sound radiating element, at least two motor elements which, in operation, cooperate to move the sound radiating element in response to an applied signal, and mounting elements coupled to the sound radiating element and motor elements, where the first motor element is mechanically coupled to the sound radiating element, and where the driver comprises at least two mechanical masses which, in operation, move independently in response to the applied signal. The mechanical masses are mechanically coupled such that in operation, the driver has at least fourth order frequency characteristics. This facilitates, for example, the construction of a fourth order loudspeaker system that performs like a vented enclosure system without employing a vent.

  • Patent number: 7499563
Abstract: In a speaker device, when an excessive driving signal larger than a withstand input is inputted to a voice coil, a voice coil bobbin moves with large magnitude. When the voice coil bobbin largely moves on a side opposite to a sound emitting side (downward), each component of the speaker device collides with each other and a large abnormal sound occurs. Therefore, a connecting member and a pot type yoke are designed to collide with each other via a buffer member in an area E1, for example, when the voice coil moves downward with the large magnitude. Namely, the buffer member is attached on a bottom surface of a bent portion of the connecting member, opposite to an upper surface of a cylindrical portion of the pot type yoke, in a circumferential direction.
