  • Patent number: 11881039
Abstract: System and methods are disclosed for capturing license plate (LP) information of a vehicle in relative motion to a camera device. In one example, the camera system detects the LP in multiple frames, then aligns and geometrically rectifies the image of the LP by scaling, warping, rotating, and/or performing other functions on the images. The camera system may optimize capturing of the LP information by executing a temporal noise filter on the aligned, geometrically rectified images to generate a composite image of the LP for optical character recognition. In some examples, the camera device may include an image sensor, such as a high dynamic range (HDR) sensor, modified to set long and short exposures of the HDR sensor to capture frames of a vehicle's LP, but without consolidating the images into a composite image. The camera system may set optimal exposure settings based on detected relative speed of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 11030466
Abstract: A license plate detection and recognition system receives training data comprising images of license plates. The system prepares ground truth data from the training data based predefined parameters. The system trains a first machine learning algorithm based on the ground truth data to generate a license plate detection model. The license plate detection model is configured to detect one or more regions in the images. The one or more regions contains a candidate for a license plate. The LPDR system generates a bounding box for each region. The LPDR system trains a second machine learning algorithm based on the ground truth data and the license plate detection model to generate a license plate recognition model. The license plate recognition model generates a sequence of alphanumeric characters with a level of recognition confidence for the sequence.

  • Patent number: 11017604
Abstract: A system and method provide an interactive augmented reality experience customized for providing instant employee recognition in the workplace. A client electronic device streams camera image data to an instant recognition system. When the image includes a face, the system automatically identifies the imaged individual. The system then aggregates information about the individual from a variety of sources for transmission to the client electronic device for simultaneous display with the camera image. The system also may automatically generate a video of a person speaking about the individual using a generative adversarial network for streaming to the device in response to user activity. The system further may allow a user of the client electronic device to personalize the augmented reality experience by modifying or annotating the individual's face or body with amusing images using an interactive canvas.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a license plate recognition method, a device thereof, and a user equipment. In the method, a vehicle image is acquired and input to a vehicle searching convolutional neural network (CNN) to search whether there is a vehicle. Then, a license plate image is acquired and input to a license plate searching CNN to search whether there is a license plate. And the license plate image is input to a tensor neural network to detect abnormal or not. Then, a recognition image is acquired and input to judge an area number, letters, and numbers. And an area number image, a letter image, and a number image are output and input to their corresponding recognition CNNs respectively to recognize an area number, letters, and numbers and output respectively. Ultimately, a license plate number recognition result in a form of “area number letter number” are output.
