  • Patent number: 11120391
Abstract: A package delivery apparatus uses an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) to deliver a package containing a product to a delivery destination area. The UAV uses GPS signals to guide it to the delivery destination area and an altimeter to determine its height above the delivery destination area. The UAV then adjusts its height to a preferred drop or release height for that package and product and releases the package. An optional camera allows a human operator to view the delivery destination area. An expandable foam package surrounds the product to protect the product from impact and moisture. The package may be streamlined to reduce air resistance and increase the range of the UAV. • Patent number: 10737878
Abstract: A liner for lining a receptacle has a front panel and a rear panel that define an interior and a top opening in fluid communication with the interior. A frangible sizing seal structure joins together the front and rear panels along the top of the liner adjacent a side of the liner. The sizing seal structure limits a size of the liner opening and is configured to be selectively broken to separate the front and rear panels to enlarge the size of the liner opening so that the top edge margin fits over a rim of the receptacle. • Patent number: 10306840
Abstract: Agricultural silage covers and bale wraps are repaired and reinforced against the elements by an elastomeric coating applied directly to the silage cover after it has been filled with silage feed. The process involves applying a protective coating, typically an elastomeric acrylic coating, to the entire outer layer of the silage cover by spray coating after the coating material has been prepared. The final product is a silage cover with a permanent reinforced overall coating to assist in preventing additional tears and openings in the fabric of the silage cover and sealing holes and damage to the silage cover in an air-tight and moisture-proof manner, thereby protecting the silage feed.

  • Patent number: 10196176
Abstract: Multi-layer bags may be formed to include first and second sidewalls joined along a first side edge, an opposite second side edge, and a closed bottom edge. The first and second layers may be non-continuously laminated together in discrete sections to include bonded regions in which the layers are bonded and unbonded regions in which the layers are not bonded. Such a bag may be described as a “bag-in-a-bag” type configuration in which the inner bag is non-continuously bonded to the outer bag. The inventors have surprisingly found that such configurations of non-continuous bonding provides increased and unexpected strength properties to the multi-layer films and bags.

Abstract: A multi-chamber container of two liquid mixing type, aiming for obtaining an increased reliability for preventing an administration from being practiced under a non separated condition of a weak seal. The medical bag 10 has an outer peripheral strong seal 14 and a weak seal 18 for separating the space inside the medical bag into two partitions 20 and 22. At the tip end of an outlet port 12, a flap 28 as a valve member is provided, which usually closes the outlet port 12 to the space inside the medical bag. The flap 28 is connected to the opposite surface of the medical bag, so that the flap 28 is displaced in cooperation with an expansion deformation of the medical bag as obtained when the weak seal 18 is opened, resulting in opening of the outlet port 12. The flap is formed with a small hole 44 for limiting a liquid flow amount to a small value.

Abstract: A pouch-type packaging for packaging pourable contents and having a front wall and rear wall made from at least one flexible packaging film is such that the front wall and the rear wall are joined together via a sealing seam. The sealing seam is extended in a region bordering a sealing zone oriented away from the sealing edge with a free end furthest removed from the sealing edge. The front wall of the pouch exhibits an outer layer on the side directed towards the outside of the pouch. The outer layer and the part of the front wall of the pouch lying under the outer layer delimit a outlet zone for the contents in an area which encloses the free end of the sealing zone and extends to an edge of the sealing edge. The application of pressure produces a tear in the part of the front wall of the pouch lying under the outer layer in the region of the free end of the sealing zone and the contents enter the outlet zone and emerge from the pouch at the edge of the sealing edge.

Abstract: A packaging bag is provided with a bag body and thermoplastic resin-made reinforcing members provided at the outer edge of the bag body. A window is provided in each reinforcing member. In forming the packaging bag, the bag body is placed between a pair of molds respectively having recesses to clamp these two molds so that a corresponding pair of the recesses are opposed to each other. Thereafter, in order to form the reinforcing members at the outer edge of the bag body, melted or softened thermoplastic resin is injected to fill cavities formed by the recesses of the thus clamped molds. Each of the cavities of the molds is formed so as to coincide with an outer shape of the corresponding reinforcing member. A projection extends from the bottom face of each recess at a part of the cavity corresponding to a part of each reinforcing member on which the window is provided.
