Abstract: A porous compact impregnated with lubricant fits into an end cap in a fashion exposed in part to a turnaround passage to apply the lubricant around balls while the balls roll through the turnaround passage. The porous compact is placed in a concavity in an end cap major part and a slot rounded at opposite ends thereof is formed in an outside curved portion of the turnaround passage to communicate the concavity with the turnaround passage. An applicator nose of the porous compact is exposed to the turnaround passage through the slot. The balls while being guided along edges of the slot come into rolling-contact with the exposed surface of the porous compact to be coated with the lubricant.

Abstract: A non-contact seal device is provided such that when attaching an end seal to a slider, positioning members can be used for positioning in the vertical and horizontal directions. Due to this, the end seal can be positioned with respect to the outer surfaces of the guide rail without using a specialized positioning fixture and then attach the end seal to the slider. Further, the projecting length of the positioning members is the same as the distance of the clearance between the guide rail and the end seal. Due to this, it becomes possible to attach the end seal to the slider so that the clearance between the guide rail and the end seal becomes the same as the distance of the clearance without using a specialized positioning fixture.

Abstract: A circumferential guide for rolling bodies for use in a linear guide unit which has a carriage-type part and a rail-type part that has at least one loaded roller body row and one unloaded roller body row during the intended operation. The circumferential guide is configured as a pre-mountable unit. A linear guide unit is also disclosed that contains at least one circumferential guide. The circumferential guide has at least one component for the rolling bodies, which at least partially guides both the loaded rolling body rows and the unloaded rolling body rows (Ru) during the intended operation. This configuration achieves that the parts requirement for the circumferential guide can be held low, resulting both in a reduction of production costs and in a compact and stable shape of the same.

A slider body is provided with rolling element insertion holes open at positions of a member mounting surface superposed over a return passage. The insertion holes extend in the length directions of leg parts and reach positions which bisect cross-sections of the return passage. The opened shapes of the insertion holes are elongated hole shapes with dimensions in the rolling element movement direction larger than dimensions in the width directions. For this reason, if balls are inserted from the rolling element insertion holes, spaces are formed inside of the return passage visible from the rolling element insertion holes in the rolling element movement direction of the balls. A rod-shaped fixture is inserted into each space to press the balls in the rolling element movement direction of the return passage.
