Abstract: A bearing holder and a spindle motor having the same are disclosed. The bearing holder in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention can include a body, which has an insertion hole formed therein such that a bearing is inserted into the insertion hole, a first supporting protrusion, which is protruded downward from a bottom surface of the body along a circumference of the insertion hole, and a first bent indentation, which is formed on an inner circumferential surface of the first supporting protrusion such that the first supporting protrusion is bent toward an inner side. Thus, unnecessary deformation in the bearing holder can be prevented while the bearing holder is coupled to a base plate. Moreover, since the bearing holder forms an accurate positional relationship with respect to the base plate, noise and vibration can be prevented from occurring during the operation of the motor.

  • Patent number: 7384368
Abstract: A toroidal-type continuously variable transmission includes an input shaft, an input disk and an output disk, plural power rollers, a power roller bearing, an oil passage, and a mesh filter. The input and output disks are supported mutually concentrically with the input shaft and mutually independently rotatably. The plural power rollers are sandwiched between the input disk and the output disks. The power roller bearing rotatably supports the power rollers. The oil passage for leading lubricating oil to the power roller bearing. The mesh filter is provided in the oil passage. Accordingly, the toroidal-type continuously variable transmission can prevent an occurrence of biting-in of foreign substances at a power roller bearing, to thereby increase the life of the power roller bearing.

  • Patent number: 7318675
Abstract: The device for temporary repair of auger carrier bearings is an assembly used to serve as a temporary to semi-permanent replacement for the carrier bearings of auger rotary shafts. The assembly comprises a U-bolt having threaded legs and a flat strap having two openings that are aligned with the threaded legs of the U-bolt. The points of contact between the auger rotary shaft and the assembly are the middle of the strap and the arch of the U-bolt. To these points are attached pads of self-lubricating plastic to provide a low friction interface between the assembly and the auger rotary shaft. The device for temporary repair of auger carrier bearings hangs from a plate that spans the tray of the auger and has two openings that correspond to the legs of the U-bolt.
