  • Patent number: 11416542
Abstract: A system comprising a capture device and a database. The capture device may be configured to (i) capture video and (ii) perform video analysis to extract metadata corresponding to the captured video. The database may be configured to (i) store the metadata, (ii) store an alert list comprising a search criteria, (iii) compare the metadata with the search criteria, (iv) communicate the alert list to the capture device if a match is detected between the metadata and the search criteria and (v) communicate an image to a subscriber associated with the alert list. The metadata may be used to determine objects detected in the video. The capture device may perform a cross-reference of the metadata with the search criteria after the alert list is received. The capture device may generate the image in response to a match of the metadata with the search criteria.

  • Patent number: 9626567
Abstract: A method to automatically classify video content retrieved over the Internet and, in particular, to determine whether a candidate video is an instance of a source video. The method begins by sampling static image frames from each of the candidate video and the source video. Based on the sampled static image frames, a set of static image frames in the candidate video that match a corresponding set of static image frames in the source video are then identified. Metadata associated with the sets of matching static image frames are then compared to determine how closely a temporal order of the set of static image frames in the candidate video matches the temporal order of the set of static image frames in the source video. Based on a measure of temporal order match, a classification is then applied to the candidate video to complete the method.

  • Publication number: 20100329632
Abstract: According to one embodiment, a video processing apparatus includes a decoding module, a detection module, a frame rate calculation module, and a display timing determining module. The decoding module decodes encoded moving image data including processing units each of which includes pictures for a predetermined reproduction time. The detection module detects picture group information of a reproduction target processing unit, the information indicative of the number of pictures and the ratio of progressive frame pictures to interlaced field pictures. The frame rate calculation module calculates a frame rate corresponding to a reproduced processing unit preceding the target unit based on picture group information detected when the preceding unit is decoded, if the target unit includes no timing information indicating display timing of pictures. The display timing determining module determines display timings for the pictures in the target unit based on the frame rate.
