Abstract: Embodiments for automatically and programmatically generating content trailers in a crowdsourced manner are described herein. An embodiment operates by receiving interactions with streaming content performed by a plurality users who consumed the content, wherein the interactions are associated with a landing frame of the content. A point value is assigned to each of the interactions, and the point values of the interactions are accumulated for each of the landing frames. A subset of the interactions for a particular one of the landing frames that exceed a threshold point value is determined. From the subset, the interaction with the highest accumulated point value is selected and a trailer for the content is generated based on the selected interaction. The content and the trailer are provided.

The content may be represented as a state machine of states, in which each state corresponds to one or more periods of one or more segments, and transitions to one or more other states. When a state is able to transition to different states, one or more criteria may be used to select one of the transition paths to a next state. Segments corresponding to unknown paths (where the transition decision is not yet available) may be selected and streamed for buffering via a multiple path buffering mechanism.

Abstract: A method is provided to identify whether video content, which includes a plurality of image frames, is likely to include an advertisement. The video content is split into a plurality of segments, each segment having a pre-specified duration. Subtitle text information is extracted from each segment and is passed through a natural language processing (NLP) language model to extract an embedding representing the subtitle text information for each of the segments, wherein the NLP language model is previously trained to differentiate between subtitle text information from video content items that were each previously identified as being an advertisement in comparison to subtitle text information from video content items that were each previously identified as not being an advertisement. The embedding representing the subtitle text information for each of the segments is passed through a classifier to obtain a probability regarding whether each segment is an advertisement or not.

  • Patent number: 10824713
Abstract: A system and method of authentication is provided that uses the spatiotemporal context of a user which has been measured using third party monitoring systems. Spatiotemporal data obtained from third party systems such as CCTV networks, microphone networks, UAV networks, CAV networks, ATM networks or the like is used to determine a unique spatiotemporal fingerprint for an individual. That is, the unique identifier is not derived from a device carried by the individual. This fingerprint can then be used to verify a user and detect abnormal and unexpected behaviour.

  • Patent number: 10791160
Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for a cloud streaming service. A cloud streaming server receives first data corresponding to media source extension (MSE) media from a media source server when a request for content is received from a user device. Then the cloud streaming server creates a first stream by transcoding the first data to a suitable format for processing at the user device, and transmits the created first stream to the user device. Further, the cloud streaming server receives second data corresponding to remaining data except the first data in the content, outputs an execution screen of the content by executing the second data, captures the outputted execution screen, and creates a second stream by encoding the captured screen.

  • Patent number: 10785509
Abstract: A heat map creation engine receives a series of image frames from amongst a plurality of image frames of a media, where the series of image frames includes a target frame and at least one neighboring frame. The heat map creation engine also extracts spatial-temporal features of the image frames, rescales the spatial-temporal features to obtain heat distribution over the target frame, and creates a heat map for the target frame based on the heat distribution. A semantic segmentation engine segments the image frames into multiple media objects based on pre-defined classes, and selects one or more media objects from amongst the media objects based on pre-defined conditions. A heat ranking engine ranks the selected one or more media objects in the media based on the heat scores and the created heat map.
