With Different Standards Patents (Class 386/284)
  • Patent number: 7983525
Abstract: A recording apparatus includes a synchronization-signal generator configured to generate a predetermined synchronization signal on the basis of a reference synchronization signal; a resolution converter configured to convert a second signal into a third signal when a received signal is the second signal, the second signal being different from a first signal having a first resolution and the second signal having a second resolution lower than the first resolution, and the third signal having the first resolution; a delayer configured to delay the first signal received when the received signal is the first signal, by a predetermined time taken to convert the second signal into the third signal; and a recorder configured to record the first signal delayed by the delayer or the third signal obtained by converting the second signal by the resolution converter, on a recording medium on the basis of the synchronization signal.

  • Publication number: 20110052140
Abstract: A decoding unit is configured to decode one of coded data for a video of a first image quality and coded data for a video of a second image quality different from the first image quality, the videos sharing the same image content. An editing unit is configured to edit, by user control, the video of the first image quality or the video of the second image quality decoded by the decoding unit. The editing unit causes an editing operation applied to one of the video of the first image quality and the video of the second image quality to be reflected in the coded data for the other video irrespective of user control.

  • Publication number: 20110044661
Abstract: A method for converting video information from an incoming format to an outgoing format using a process free from one or more intermediary files. The method includes receiving video information in a first format and receiving a desired output media format based upon a first input and a desired TV standard based upon a second input. The method decodes the video information in the first format to raw video information in an uncompressed format and directly resizes the raw video information in the uncompressed format into a size associated with the desired output media format and the desired TV standard. The method adjusts the uncompressed format in the size associated with the desired output media format and the desired TV standard to a frame rate associated with the desired TV standard and encodes the uncompressed format in the size and the frame rate into an elementary video stream.

  • Publication number: 20110026899
Abstract: Methods and systems for viewing, editing high resolution video over a computer network. High-resolution footage may be uploaded and stored on a system. Such high-resolution footage may be captured by various content creators from various locations. From the high-resolution footage, low-resolution copies, which may be flash copies, of this footage may be created. Instead of accessing and editing the originally submitted high-resolution footage, the low-resolution copies may be viewed, clipped, aggregated and modified on the site. A edited video may be created based on various received editing commands, and the edited video may be ultimately exported in multiple formats. The exported video may also be exported to various remote systems.
