Separate Electrode Compartment Patents (Class 392/336)
  • Patent number: 11425937
Abstract: A cartridge for an e-vaping device includes a conductive element extending through an interior of a dispensing interface to which a heating element is coupled. The conductive element may have a greater temperature coefficient of electrical resistivity than the heating element. The dispensing interface may include a fibrous wicking material, and the conductive element may be woven through an interior of the fibrous wicking material. A temperature of the dispensing interface may be determined based on monitoring an electrical resistance of the conductive element. An amount of pre-vapor formulation may be determined based on an electrical resistance of the bridge electrical circuit to an electrical signal between the heating element and the conductive element through the dispensing interface.

  • Patent number: 9050157
Abstract: A dental water jet provides a pressurized water stream for cleaning gums and teeth. The embodiment includes a base unit defining a cavity. The cavity contains a pump, which may move pressurized water from a reservoir to a tip in fluid communication with the pump. A flow control knob may be turned to selectively adjust the water pressure supplied by the tip between a minimum and a maximum value. The reservoir may be removed from the base unit so that it may be filled with the fluid. The reservoir may support a container for storing tips or other items. Fluid may flow from the reservoir and ultimately into the tip to provide oral irrigation and/or cleaning of the teeth, gums, and tongue.

  • Publication number: 20130259454
Abstract: An apparatus for generating steam comprised of a water reservoir chamber for holding a source of water, a steam chamber and a vertical partition there between. A water communication port is located at a vertical height within the vertical partition. The water communication port allows the source of water to pass from the water reservoir chamber to the steam chamber. A pair of electrodes is located in the steam chamber, the electrodes arranged to provide an electric current through water fed to the steam chamber. The vertical height determines a set level of water contacting the electrodes as the source of water is fed from the reservoir chamber to the steam chamber. Water feeding occurs as gas in the steam chamber is passed through the water communication port at periodic intervals and replaced by the source of water in the reservoir chamber to equalize pressure difference between the two chambers.

  • Patent number: 6072937
Abstract: A steam generator comprises a chamber having an inlet for water and an outlet for steam. Disposed in the chamber are first and second sets of interleaved electrodes, connected to respective poles of an electrical supply. The electrodes have tapered planar surfaces extending adjacent one another, with a cross sectional area which increases in a direction away from the inlet for water. The electrodes also have multiple apertures formed in the planar surfaces. The chamber is tapered complementally to the shape of the electrodes, and is mounted within a primary reservoir. The inlet for water is in liquid communication with the interior of the primary reservoir and the level of the liquid in the primary reservoir is maintained constant.
