    Abstract: The present invention generally relates to a hot molten adhesive application machine. More specifically the present invention discloses a unique hot melt adhesive application machine having a novel construction whereby the reservoir of molten adhesive material is heated from within the molten adhesive. The adhesive pump, discharge hoses, and discharge applicators are heated by electrical resistance heating elements that may operate on 120 or 240 volt current. Further, a novel axial pump piston is disclosed whereby the pump cylinder bore may be machined to a lessor tolerance standard than previous pumps of this type.

A conductively heated and externally insulated drip chamber holder and a patient intravenous line that is passively insulated by a small annular air space extruded as part of the tube preserve heat in the warmed fluid, improving low flow rate performance. A reusable external heater may optionally be applied to the distal portion of the patient line to provide normothermic fluid to the patient down to essentially zero flow rate.

The recirculation unit is controlled by the temperature of the water leaving the heating unit. The control is achieved by the use of a rated valve on the heated liquid outlet.

    Abstract: A heater for providing steady-temperature heated water for domestic hot water or hygienic purposes. Water is heated in a drum-shaped tank that is divided into two chambers by a piston that can slide longitudinally within the tank. Attached to the tank is a reverse value that can direct cold water from an inlet into either chamber and direct heated water from the other chamber to an outlet leading to a heated water use. Electric component and a cycle regulator control the direction of water flow through the reverse valve and the direction of motion of the piston. When there is a demand for heated water, the cycle regulator causes the piston to move to expel heated water from one chamber while concurrently cold water enters the other chamber. After heated water is expelled from that chamber, the cycle is reversed. Because cold water and heated water are in separate chambers steady-temperature heated water can be maintained. Either electricity or gas can be used in heat water in the tank.

If a vacuum process is carried out in the process chamber in this state, exhaust gas discharged from the process chamber can pass in a gaseous phase through the exhaust pipe and the vacuum pump without separating its unwanted by-products. Since a trap unit is located on the downstream side of the vacuum pump, moreover, the reaction products and the like can be prevented from adhering to the inside of the vacuum pump so that the maintenance operation is easier, although the conductance of the exhaust pipe is lowered so that the trap unit and the vacuum pump can be reduced in size.

The casing is comprised of a rubber sidewall reinforced with wire for resisting kinking, crushing, and twisting. Preferably, there is a gap between the casing and conduit that helps insulate the conduit. Each fitting assembly preferably includes a swivel fitting at least partially received within the casing to insulate it.

A return line is coupled between the pipe and an inlet of the water pump so that the water used by the apparatus is continuously recirculated.
