Plural Blades Patents (Class 396/220)
  • Patent number: 8254008
Abstract: A blade drive device includes: a board including an optical path opening; first and second blades cooperatively defining an amount of light passing through the optical path opening to a given amount of light. The first blade includes a first opening. The second blade includes: a first cutout portion defining the amount of light in cooperation with the first opening; and a second cutout portion defining the amount of light in cooperation with the first opening. The second cutout portion overlaps the first blade when the first cutout portion and the first opening cooperatively define the amount of light.

  • Patent number: 7784950
Abstract: An image projecting apparatus has an integrator for generating plural secondary-light-source images for generating illumination light with a uniform intensity; and a variable stop mechanism arranged at or near a position conjugate with the secondary-light-source images. The variable stop mechanism has a base plate having a fixed aperture; and a stop blade which moves across the aperture for changing a quantity of light. The change in the quantity of light passing through said variable stop caused by the movement of said stop blade is greater than a change in a size of an effective region of a stop aperture.

  • Patent number: 7573526
Abstract: By using a focal plane shutter having one set of shutter blades as a shielding member of an image pick-up element, it is possible to miniaturize the shutter compared to a focal plane shutter having two sets of blades. This enables the operation to be simplified, and also saves space. Furthermore, in an electronic camera having this focal plane shutter, because the shooting lens side of the image pick-up element that is disposed in the main camera body can be disposed protruding into the shutter unit, the length of the main camera body in the direction of the optical path of the shooting lens can be reduced, and it is possible to form the main camera body small compared to a conventional main camera body.

  • Patent number: 7570882
Abstract: Systems and techniques for using one or more virtual pivots in a shutter system for a miniature camera. A virtual pivot system may comprise one or more flexures, so that a shutter apparatus may be rotated about a center of rotation without a physical rotation element at the center of rotation. The virtual pivot system may provide a number of benefits, including the reduction or elimination of stiction.

  • Patent number: 5881326
Abstract: A shutter apparatus is provided wherein openings for defining a secondary aperture are formed in respective shutter blades, such that an amount of light transmitted through the secondary aperture is detected, and the drive force for driving the shutter blades is changed so that the amount of the received amount increases in the opening stroke according to a predetermined function. When the integrated quantity of the received light reaches a threshold value, the movement of the shutter blades is reversed, and the shutter speed is determined based on the integrated light quantity obtained upon completion of shifting to the closing stroke. Thus, variations in the exposure amount that occur upon reversal of the shutter blades are canceled in the closing stroke.

  • Patent number: 5832319
Abstract: As for a camera, a method for driving an electronic shutter of a camera, comprising the stages of setting an initial focus of a rotating member connected with a focus control lens in a state where the focus control lens is pre-set in a middle position between a maximum zoom position and a minimum zoom position, such that the initial position of a focus control lens is positioned in a middle step between a focus position of the focus control lens with respect to a pre-set farthest subject and a focus position of the focus control lens with respect to closest subject; controlling focus by rotating the rotating member connected to a first driving means from an initial position to a clockwise or counterclockwise direction, in order to move the focus control lens to a position set according to a value calculated by a distance measuring means when a shutter switch is operated; and performing exposure by sector opening/closing means being operated according to an exposure value calculated by a luminescent measuring
