Abstract: The present invention is a urinal screen that includes a main body having an extended upper surface, a corresponding extended lower surface, and a marginal edge portion integral with an surrounding the upper surface and the lower surface; a plurality of spaced apart apertures formed to extent through the main body to provide fluid communication between the upper surface and the lower surface of the main body; and a two-sided spreading layer attached to the main body for accepting a urine sample on a upper side and passing the sample to a lower side, opposite and each side containing a reagent that can react with glucose in the urine sample, as it passes through the two-sided spreading layer, to cause a color change in the reagent.

Abstract: Disclosed is a packaged kit of a plurality of date-specific urinal screens for facilitating the regular hygienic maintenance of urinals. Each of the screens contains at least one integral tab or “printpad” displaying one of a category of sequential time periods. The time-displayed printpad serves primarily as a notification of the insertion time, duration, and/or disposal/removal date applicable to an individual urinal screen. A user, subsequent to disposing of an expired urinal screen, will then insert the urinal screen displaying the next succeeding time period. A cavity which accommodates an enzyme block is located internally to each urinal screen, and serves to releases biodegradable surfactants. Each screen further comprises a plurality of ridges, spokes, crests, channels, various openings, and other physical features for the purpose of minimizing splashing and facilitating the flow of urine or flush water through the urinal.

Urinal screen assemblies are also provided and include a urinal screen and a bioenzymatic block containing odor combatting chemistry disposed in a void formed by the vaulted portion of the urinal screen.

Abstract: A device that mitigates urine backsplash in most types of conventional urinals. The device includes low-impact angled plates (or fins) to facilitate deflection and mitigate splash back from urine streams. In an aspect, a plurality of flexible or rigid plates are angled towards a user (e.g., sixty degrees), which allows for the urine stream to plane or glide across the respective plate surfaces and not splash back on the user.

Abstract: A urinal assembly having a screen body with a date feature corresponding to days, weeks, months, years, quarters or other time intervals. The date feature includes date tabs that may be removably attached to the screen body that may be removed or altered to indicate the desired date, such as a date of installation or expiry date of the urinal screen. The date feature and date tabs may be molded together with the remainder of the urinal screen body, forming a one piece construction made of a plastic material that may withstand the harsh environmental conditions within a urinal or toilet.

Abstract: A combination garbage disposal safety poker, scraper and deodorizer/sanitizer device is provided. The device comprises a cup-shaped strainer, a handle mounted to the strainer, a hollow cylindrical stem extending downward from the strainer, and a replaceable rubber scraper connected to lower end of the hollow stem and used for scraping waste from dishes and sinks. The inside of the stem serves as a compartment for holding a deodorizer/sanitizer tablet. Holes in the strainer and in the stem expose the deodorizer/sanitizer tablet to water, thereby gradually dissolving the tablet and continually deodorizing the garbage disposal unit and drain.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is an apparatus for advertising a product or service and for sanitizing, deodorizing, and preventing splatter of fluids discharged in a urinal. The apparatus comprises a fluid permeable receptacle herein referred to as “receptacle” suspended along its longitudinal axis for absorbing discharged fluids and releasing the absorbed fluids into a drain of the urinal, an advertisement layer, and fasteners for fastening the receptacle to the urinal. The receptacle comprises particulate material embedded within compartments of the receptacle. The particulate material comprises an anti-splatter material for preventing splatter of fluids, an odor removal material for removing undesired odor from the fluids, and a sanitizing material for cleaning and disinfecting the fluids. Grommets along with the fasteners may be used for fastening the receptacle to the urinal. Advertisements may be printed on the surface of the receptacle or the advertisement layer.
