Patent number: 4519914Abstract: For water treatment in swimming pools, cooling towers, hot tubs, and other systems it is desired to feed various chemicals in small quantities but at optimum rates into the system. In several embodiments of the invention the water is recirculated through the system which usually includes a filter. It has been discovered that the chemicals can be fed by enclosing them in generally spherical plastic capsules suggestive of table-tennis balls, but about the size of a baseball. The rate of feeding depends upon the size and number of small holes which are provided, or the user pokes through the shell of the capsule, upon the solubility of the chemical, and upon the flow rate of the water through a strainer, skimmer, or other chamber in the system into which the capsule is introduced. The random orientation of the capsule tends to average out variations.Type: GrantFiled: March 31, 1980Date of Patent: May 28, 1985Inventor: Kenji Etani

A basin fits snugly around said showerhead to optionally provide a sitz bath. Additionally, bidet means are connected between an external water source and said shower head, and an adjustably positionable warm air unit provides a drying function.Type: GrantFiled: April 26, 1979Date of Patent: September 8, 1981Inventor: Louis Silver

Patent number: 4259754Abstract: A portable and rechargeable self-contained bidet for use in conjunction with toilet fixtures which controllably dispenses a contained water solution under pressure. A cylindrically shaped reservoir provided with an integral mounting bracket which passes between the lowered seat and the toilet bowl supports the reservoir adjacent to the exterior rim of the toilet bowl. The free end of the mounting bracket further extends into, thence inwardly and downwardly into the interior of the toilet bowl. A directable spray nozzle is located adjacent to the terminus of the free end of the mounting bracket. The reservoir contains the douche solution, and is provided with a spring biased piston by which pressure is maintained on the stored solution. An inlet valve permits charging of the reservoir with water under pressure from an available source through a hose connection. A discharge passage within the mounting bracket connects the reservoir interior to the inlet of the directable spray nozzle.Type: GrantFiled: October 19, 1979Date of Patent: April 7, 1981Inventors: Jacob Bader, Aviv Bader

Patent number: 4242764Abstract: A hygienic cleaning apparatus that provides the washing of the genital area of a person seated on a toilet by upwardly and inwardly directed nozzles, whose water emanations converge at at least one point underneath the area to be cleaned. Temperatures and volume controls and pre-temperature water testing at a test tube outlet are also provided. A warm-air system provides drying air through ducts in the vicinity of the nozzles. The hygienic cleaning apparatus can also be used in conjunction with a modified toilet seat lid, whereby a hole is made at the point where the spray splashes when the lid is in a closed position, the lid containing channels leading away from such opening and terminating in openings over the seat itself, thereby permitting the seat to be washed clean. The warm air system also provides drying air to dry the seat after such washing.Type: GrantFiled: September 20, 1978Date of Patent: January 6, 1981Inventor: Mamoru Fukuda

Patent number: 4208746Abstract: An irrigation system for human body such as anus and private part. The system comprises a heated water containing tank, a pair of heated water ejection units of an injection nozzle type for scouring or irrigating of anus and private part of female, and a heated air drying apparatus for drying anus and private part. A first temperature sensor is disposed in the tank for controlling intermittently a control circuit associated with a water heating unit in the tank so as to stabilize the temperature of the heated water in the tank. A second temperature sensor is disposed in the tank for deenergizing the water heating unit in the event the temperature in the tank rises up to a predetermined higher level. A pump motor unit and a water passage for mixing and agitating the tank water to avoid non-uniform temperature distribution are associated with the tank.Type: GrantFiled: June 15, 1978Date of Patent: June 24, 1980Assignee: Aisin Seiki Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Naoki Minamoto, Tomio Oguma, Naoji Sakakibara

Patent number: 4205402Abstract: A portable device for adapting a toilet for use as a bidet comprises a rigid conduit including a generally straight, horizontal portion sized to fit in the gap between the toilet seat and the toilet bowl rim, and a contiguous U-shaped portion for discharging a column of water upwards. The end of the horizontal conduit portion remote from the U-shaped portion is connected by a water supply line to a convenient bathroom faucet. The horizontal conduit portion is of sufficient length to permit movement of the conduit along the axis of the horizontal conduit portion in order to permit positioning of the upwardly discharging column of water over the bowl at various distances from the rim. Separate diversion means may be provided for discharging the stream of water downwardly into the toilet bowl while maintaining the U-shaped portion in its upwardly open position.Type: GrantFiled: November 15, 1978Date of Patent: June 3, 1980Inventor: Daniel C. Miller
