Abstract: A massage pillow configured to be positioned over a fluid jet includes a cushion and a retaining assembly. The cushion includes a front surface, a rear surface, and side surfaces extending there between. The rear surface includes an annular edge defining an opening providing access to an interior of the cushion sized to at least partially cover the jet. The retainer assembly includes an opening configured to align with the jet and a peripheral edge configured to retain the annular edge of the cushion. The retainer assembly is configured to be removably fixed to a wall surrounding the jet with the jet aligned with the opening of the retainer assembly and the opening of the cushion, such that fluid expelled from the jet passes into the interior of the cushion, so that the pillow provides massage and/or warmth due to the expelled fluid.

Abstract: A rolling medical bedside bathing tub is designed and configured to facilitate bathing for bedridden and other people with limited mobility. The bathing tub includes a bottom wall forming the bottom side of the bathing tub and a plurality of sidewalls extending from the bottom walls to define an enclosure. The bathing tub may include a backrest and an extendable seat to assist people in maintaining balance within the tub. Preferably, the bathing tub is portable. Additionally, the bathing tub may be extendable to allow for people of varying heights and sizes. A method for using the bathing tub is also provided.

Abstract: A neck cushioning device (or a “shampoo roll”) that relieves neck pain of a first user during the washing of the first user's hair and also relieves back pain of a second user who is washing the first user's hair is described herein. The device includes a unitary elongated piece having a first side disposed opposite a second side and a first end disposed opposite a second end and a portion affixed to the first end of the unitary elongated piece. The second side of the neck cushioning device rests on a horizontal surface. A body of the user rests on the first side of the unitary elongated piece, a neck of a user is rested on the portion, and hair of the user is received in a sink.

The first rod has a substantially central bore configured to receive a second rod. The first rod is configured to be oriented perpendicular to a user's spine during use to improve posture. The first rod and the second rod are oriented in a nested configuration configured to increase rigidity. A removable barrier element is configured to retain the material layer and is configured to close and open with a fastener.

Abstract: The proposed is directed to a shampoo assisting device that is mounted on a wash basin, a bathtub, a sink, etc. with a simple configuration to allow the user to be shampooed while lying down. The shampoo assisting device includes a main body having a locking part provided on one side and a headrest part provided on the other side to support a user's head, and a first support protruding from a lower portion of the main body so as to be closely supported by a bottom surface of a wash basin.

Abstract: A bathing leg restraint includes a pair of base members and a connector member connecting the base members. A support extends upwardly from an upper surface of each base member. A leg restraint member is affixed to an upper end of each support, such that each leg restraint member is rotatably secured to its respective support. The lower surface of each base member is securable to the inner surface of a bathing enclosure, such as a bathtub. The base members contact and support the inner thighs of the user when the user is seated upright within the bathtub. The leg restraint members can be rotated overtop of the user's legs to prevent their legs from rising out of the water. The base members and the leg restraint members maintain the user's legs in a submerged state and prevent the user from sliding downwardly toward the opposite end of the bathtub.

Abstract: The object of the present invention is an axillary support device (1) for a handicapped user of a common shower stall provided with at least one flat wall, substantially constituted by a pair of transverse arms (2, 3) fixed to the flat wall of the shower stall by means of a pair of vertical supports (4, 5) firmly anchored to said wall. Said transverse arms (2, 3) are arranged in a manner so as to be substantially perpendicular, in the longitudinal direction thereof, to the wall to which they are fixed; such arms (2, 3) are shaped in a manner so as to have one end (6, 7) bent upward, one end constrained (8, 9) to the vertical supports (4, 5) and they are provided with a covering made of soft and impermeable material. The vertical position and the horizontal position of said transverse arms (2, 3) can be adjusted, the latter being translatable along said vertical supports (4, 5) and lockable in pre-established positions.

The front base and rear foot are provided with a non-skid surface. An upper surface of the chair is provided with a non-skid cushion. An adjustment mechanism in the rear support base can be utilized to modify the tilt angle of the chair. The lower curve supports an occupant's legs and the larger curve supports the occupant's back and head. Maintaining the child's position minimizes water and soap flowing onto the child's face and eyes during washing.

The method also comprises obtaining a metallic member, the metallic member magnetically attracting to the magnets in the cushion. Abstract: A waterproof pillow with audio unit is described. The waterproof pillow with audio unit includes a waterproof pillow, a sound unit and a remote control unit. Either the sound unit scans a plurality of audio devices for identifying the audio devices or the audio devices respectively scan the sound unit for identifying the sound unit to establish the communication links between the sound unit and audio devices. The sound unit then utilizes a switch unit to switch for selecting one of the audio devices. An audio output device is used to output the audio output of the selected audio device. The remote control unit controls the sound unit for selecting the musical sound of the audio devices served as the audio output. The remote control unit further adjusts the volume of the audio output.

Abstract: A neck guard for a salon/barber industry sink, wherein the sink has an indentation in a lip of the sink to accommodate a person's neck. The neck guard includes a lower layer, a cushioning layer and a cover layer. The lower layer is flexible and incorporates fasteners such as suction cups configured to removably attach the lower layer to the sink. The cushioning layer is bonded to the lower layer and has a surface that is suitable for having the cover layer attached to it by means such as a low-tack, pressure-sensitive adhesive. The neck guard is sufficiently flexible to wrap around and conform to the indentation in the lip of the sink and to enable attachment of the fasteners to the sink, thereby securing the neck guard within the indentation in the lip of the sink.

Abstract: A sound system and a head rest for a spa and a spa having a sound system are disclosed. The sound system includes a head rest mountable to a spa and at least one electronic speaker. The head rest includes sound emitting perforations and is mounted to the spa whereby the uppermost rim of the spa remains at a substantially uniform elevation. The electronic speaker is mounted to transmit audible sound through the perforations in the head rest. The head rest may also include a light-transferring insert that is illuminated to provide an enhanced bathing experience. The head rest may also include a fluid flow device, for example, a nozzle for water. The sound system and head rest can be used to introduce audio to a tub, spa, pool, bath, or shower while imposing little or no impact upon the fabrication, storage, or shipping of the tub, spa, pool, bath, or shower.

Abstract: The invention as presently conceived discloses a padded neck support for beauty salon washing sinks. The invention is an apparatus to aid in the support of a user's head during the hair washing process at a sink in a beauty salon. The head and neck support pad is configured as a conformable pad to be removably attached to the head receiving portion of a conventional hair salon sink. If necessary, means exist to removably attach multiple support pads thereon each other for vertical adjustment due to the physical characteristics of the individual user. The apparatus is covered with a waterproof cover for ease in washing after use.

On the bottom side of each part are 2 valves, 1 for air and 1 for liquid(s) used to fill the bed with liquid(s) and/or air. On the back support and the seat are several partitions with open spaces used for stabilisation. The Bath Comfort Bed has been made of flexible plastic. The topside of the Bath Comfort Bed has a rough structure to prevent slipping. The headrest, back support and seat can be separated from each other and used individually. The Bath Comfort Bed needs to be used to give more comfort to bathing and to let children bath more safely.

A fluid communication device is disposed in fluid communication with an interior portion of the chambers for inflating and deflating them as necessary. An anti-slip mechanism is disposed on a back surface of the back portion which engages an end of such bath tub to prevent movement during use. A bottom portion extends toward an opposed end of such tub and is connected to a bottom edge of a front portion of such back portion for supporting a person's hips during bathing. There is an additional anti-slip mechanism disposed on a bottom surface of the bottom portion which engages bottom surface of such bath tub for preventing movement of the bottom portion during use.

The head and neck support is constructed to be received within a shampoo bowl and suspended by a strap provided with grasping elements for being passed over the sides of the bowl, and a hook like extended tongue passed through and supported by a neck depression defined within a front wall of the bowl.

Abstract: A neck massage apparatus for use in a spa hot tub system. The massage apparatus includes a pair of rotating jet nozzles located at a height near the neck of a user thereof sitting in the spa, wherein the jet nozzles are coupled to a source of water and air, respectively. A pliable membrane is disposed over the jet nozzles for restraining the water and air and for imparting a massage sensation to the user in response to movement of the water and air. Controlled size orifices are placed in the back of the apparatus to allow the water and air to escape. The size of these orifices are controlled to be slightly greater in area than the area of the combined air and water source pipes, thereby placing adequate pressure on the membrane to adapt to the shape of the user's neck and to impart a massage sensation.

Therefore, the automatic hair washer can wash the back of the neck of the person sufficiently, without putting a big burden on the neck.

Abstract: A sound transmission assembly and illumination system for a tub, spa, pool, bath, or shower includes an electronic audio speaker or sound wave-guide. When the sound wave-guide is used, a source of sound waves, a sound wave distributor, and one or more sound wave guides transmit the sound waves to one or more speaker-like orifices in the spa housing or head rest. The wave guides are typically conduits through which sound waves can be transmitted. The orifices typically include some form of perforated cover and may include means for providing sound attenuation. In one embodiment, the sound waves are transmitted to two speaker-like orifices in a head rest such that a stereo sound system is provided for the bather. The head rest may include one or more light-transferring resilient inserts and a light source which illuminates the inserts, for example, a LED-type light source. Also, the speakers, insert, and light source may be incorporated into a single assembly adapted for mounting beneath a head rest of a spa.

Abstract: A hydrotherapy unit has a housing supporting a tub. The tub has sidewalls defining arm rests, end walls defining a foot rest and back rest, and a bottom defining a seat. The unit is mounted on wheels or skids for mobility.
