Abstract: The compression-mounted shower grab bar incorporates a grab bar, a plurality of mounting plates, a plurality of mounting caps, and a shower. The shower further comprises a first wall and a second wall. The compression-mounted shower grab bar is adapted for use by a client. The compression-mounted shower grab bar forms a structure the client can grasp for improved stability. The compression-mounted shower grab bar mounts between the first wall and the second wall of the shower. The plurality of mounting caps secures the grab bar to the plurality of mounting plates. The grab bar applies a compressive force that presses the plurality of mounting plates against the first wall and the second wall such that the grab bar is: a) secured to a fixed position in the shower; and, b) transfers the load of the client to the first wall and the second wall.

Abstract: A safety grip system comprises first and second safety grips that are mountable to a support structure. Each safety grip comprises a main body sized to overlie at least a portion of the support structure and have a textured exterior surface. The first and second safety grips are interlockable such that when the first safety grip is non-rotatably mounted to the support structure, the second safety grip is also non-rotatably mounted to the support structure.

Abstract: A bathing insert for use with a bathing space, the bathing insert comprising a body including first and second end walls, first and second side walls extending between the end walls, and a support wall connecting first edges of the end walls and the side walls. The walls define an open edge and an interior area of the body. A seat including a sit portion extending generally inward from the first end wall and a seatback portion extending from the support wall to the sit portion, wherein the sit portion and the seatback portion connect to define the seat. The body is positionable in a first orientation for use as a shower seat and a second orientation for use as a bathtub. When the body is in the first orientation, the open edge is positionable on a support surface, and when the body is in the second orientation, the support wall is positionable on the support surface such that the interior area is accessible by a user.

Abstract: A telescoping support bar installed in a shower enclosure and similar facilities requires no mechanical wall fasteners. The support bar includes telescoping tubes with end retainers gripping walls of the enclosures. Length of the support bar is governed by fixed length spacer means and internal extensible means. Extensible means, having bearings movable along a rod, provides the lengthening and shortening of the support bar as the distance between the bearings is increased or decreased. This change in distance likewise changes the overall length of the support bar. With the retainers snug against the walls, one of the tubes, being rotatable, is turned in circular motion. This rotation is converted into an axial force along the bar causing the retainers to forcefully grip the walls, providing a rigid and strong bar installation.

The cushioned bath lounger presenting a resting place for the head and shoulders of a reclined bather. The lounger having first and second support rails anchored to each side of the bathtub. A flexible support member is positioned between and attached to each support rail. The flexible support member has a first chamber with a visco-elastic pad positioned within to support the bathers head. The flexible support member may also include a second chamber configured to be inflated by air. The air filled second chamber then provides gentle floatation support to the reclined bather when immersed in a bath. The flexible support of the lounger may be adjustably positioned between the support rails and locked in place. The lounger may also be configured such that the flexible support may glide freely along the support rails to provide a rocking motion to the reclined bather.

The tub grip is sturdy and easy to attach and remove for those that may suffer from loss of strength and dexterity due to advanced age, injury, illness, or other medical condition. In addition, the tub grip is constructed to resist wear and tear and provide its users with a substantial service life. One embodiment of the invention comprises a locking member, a first arm assembly, a clamp assembly, a second arm assembly, and, at least one locking plate. The first and the second arm assemblies and the locking plate are mounted on the locking member, whereas the clamp assembly is attached to the locking member. The locking member comprises a plurality of teeth, to which the locking plate is selectively engageable.

Abstract: A swivel handle structure for a bathtub includes a holder, a handle seat and a press ring. The holder comprises a connecting plate having a number of locating holes and a recess thereon. The handle seat comprises a rotary disc having a circular rim inwardly corresponding to the recess of the connecting plate. The press ring is sleeved onto the handle seat. The press ring has a block rim to block the handle seat so as to confine the press ring from moving any further. When turning the handle seat, the circular rim of the rotary disc turns within the recess of the connecting plate so that the press ring maintains the handle seat in a steady manner from rocking or shaking.

Abstract: A bathtub assistance apparatus for aiding a user entering and exiting a bathtub. The bathtub assistance apparatus includes a frame assembly being designed for being positioned on top of the bathtub whereby the frame assembly extends between opposing walls positioned at opposite ends of the bathtub. A support assembly is coupled to the frame assembly whereby the support assembly extends upwardly from the frame assembly. The support assembly is designed for being gripped by the user to provide support for the user when the user is entering and exiting a bathtub. At least one locking member is operationally coupled to the frame assembly. The locking member is designed for selectively engaging the bathtub whereby the locking member inhibits sliding of the frame assembly with respect to the bathtub when the user uses the support assembly.

Abstract: A shower door track cushion is provided, which includes a material having a length. A slit is cut longitudinally along the length of the bottom of the material. The slit is adapted to fit over a shower door track and retain the material on the shower door track, which is located along a top edge of a bathtub. The material includes an extending rectangular section integral to the material at one end of the length of the material, which is adapted to fit between a first and a second shower door vertical support in order to retain the material between the first and second shower door vertical supports. The material can be made of polyethylene foam and can include a rounded top.

Abstract: An improved structure for a bathtub hand rest comprises a pair of clamps, a hand rest and fasteners. Each of the clamps has two plates with their horizontal sections overlapped to each other and a positioning bolt laterally penetrating vertical sections extending from the two overlapped sections. The fastener is locked to the inner wall of each end of the hand rest with inner threads. The periphery of the fastener is provided with outer threads and a fastening hole in the center of the fastener. The clamps are held against the bathtub, and the fasteners are screwed to both ends of the hand rest. Positioning bolts penetrate through the clamps and locked to the fastening holes in the fasteners for the hand rest to be secured to the clamps.
