The floor drain assembly includes a drain body having drain coupling adapted for connecting to the drain system, a collar mounted to the drain body, and a rough-in adapter having a radially extending flange. The rough-in adapter is axially adjustably mounted to the collar and a strainer frame is axially adjustably mounted to the rough-in adapter. Mounted to the frame is a strainer. A cover encloses the strainer and strainer frame and includes a central region and a downwardly extending perimetric wall that is removably mounted, at a lower end thereof to, the flange of the rough-in adapter.

Abstract: In various examples, an installation is provided for optically examining surface regions of objects, in particular of painted vehicle bodies, having a test light apparatus for irradiating an object, which is situated in a test region of the installation, with test light and/or for producing a test pattern on the surface region, wherein the test light apparatus has a light-emitting system having a plurality of light-emitting units for emitting test light into the test region, wherein the light-emitting units have a transparent cover with respect to the test region. An operator apparatus is arranged, as viewed from the test region, behind the transparent cover and is set up such that the operator apparatus can be operated by touching at least one section of the cover or/and by approaching such a section. A light-emitting system for such an installation and to a test light module for assembling such an installation are provided.

Abstract: Food preparation sinks are disclosed which have an integral raised work area that is rinsed by an automatic system. Food waste or the like present in that area can be washed into a sump above a drain, and the weight of the waste and water in the sump is enough to automatically drive them through a baffle to a garbage disposal, without requiring the baffle to be manually opened. An automatic controller system coordinates water flow and garbage disposal operation, and the water supply can be linked to the sink below the sink rim to save counter top space. In some forms multiple rinsing nozzles are provided which pulse in altering fashion.

Abstract: Disclose is a magnetized sink which (a) does not result in the congestion of a sink drain, (b) features at least one neodymium magnet, and (c) assists in the performance of sink activities that are unrelated to flatware. In one embodiment, the sink comprises: a basin; a drain; and a plurality of neodymium magnets secured to an underside of the basin whereby metallic items may be magnetically attracted to the inside the basin. In one mode of operation, the sink is configured to prevent flatware from passing over the drain precipice. In another mode of operation, the disclosed apparatus is configured to assist in the washing of pots and/or pans, wherein pots or pans are held upright via magnetic attraction.

Abstract: An apparatus for treating greasy waste fluids comprises a fluid inlet which receives the waste fluids, and a waste filtering device positioned downstream from the fluid inlet; the waste filtering device is so configured as to retain at least a portion of the particulate matters contained in the waste fluids. The apparatus further comprises a compartment which is so configured as to receive a slow-releasing grease treating formulation. Also, the apparatus comprises a fluid outlet positioned downstream from the compartment. Furthermore, the compartment is so positioned in a flow path defined between the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet as to contact the waste fluids.

Abstract: Apparatus for grinding waste material like kitchen waste foresees a loading section (10) for loading the waste material, a grinding section (12) for grinding the waste material, means for collecting (15) the ground waste, and means (20,25,35) for dispensing controlled quantities of sanitizing or cleaning powder (P) in the apparatus directly on the waste material present in the loading section, or on the internal surfaces of the apparatus. The powder can also be dispensed on the waste material that has been ground and collected (15). The powder (P) that is dispensed influences the biological transformation of the waste to avoid formation of hazardous substances for the health and sources of bad smell. The powder can be dispensed directly or by movement with a flow of air, which is generated for example by a rotor or piston mechanism. There can also be a system that fluidizes the powder to create a flow of air mixed with powder which is then dispensed in the apparatus.

Abstract: A garbage disposer replacement unit for straining food waste comprises a drainage means fitted to one or more sink for transporting food wastes to a sewer system and a main interceptor connected in series with the drainage means. The main interceptor is fluidly connected in series to the sink drain outlet through an adapter funnel and includes a convex reservoir and a number of legs for supporting the main interceptor above a floor. Two opposite side outlets are positioned at the lowermost level of the convex reservoir. A tray is slidingly suspended within the main interceptor above the reservoir, wherein the tray has fine bottom perforations for retaining small particles of food waste. A draining basket is removably positioned under the side outlets for catching escaped wastes bypassing the main interceptor. The interceptor has a top opening over which the adaptor funnel is placed concentrically to redefine the top opening to fit with the existing sink drainage means.

Abstract: Reject waste water adapter coupling fitting, system and installation method for use with a household undercounter reverse osmosis (R/O) water filtration installation associated with an in-counter sink having a garbage disposer with its outlet connected by standard slip fit plumbing fittings to a sink drain trap plumbed to the household sewer system. The R/O reject waste water undercounter drain line is coupled into the sink drain trap in parallel drainage relation with the disposer outlet plumbing fittings by a baffle Tee plumbing fitting having first and second inlets perpendicular to one another with their input drainage liquid flow separated by an internal baffle. The garbage disposer outlet is coupled by a standard slip fit single inlet/outlet conduit plumbing fitting to the baffle Tee first inlet. The baffle Tee has a single outlet slip coupled to the inlet of the trap.

Abstract: A hand washing and drying apparatus comprising a washing and drying chamber including at least one access port providing access for inserting at least one hand to be washed, a wash liquid dispenser in fluid communication with the interior of the washing and drying chamber for dispensing wash liquid within the washing and drying chamber, a blow dryer in fluid communication with the interior of the washing and drying chamber for providing a directed supply of drying air within the washing and drying chamber, a towel dispenser in communication with the interior of the washing and drying chamber for dispensing a towel, e.g., a disposable paper towel, within the chamber, and a waste disposal for disintegrating a spent towel dispensed from the towel dispenser and exhausting disintegrated waste through a drain. The apparatus further may include a control device for controlling the operation of the apparatus.

Abstract: A combination hand sink and trash receptacle comprises a hand sink having a horizontal support surface and a wash basin downwardly extending from the support surface. A fixed trash skirt is positioned around the wash basin, and the skirt is secured to the underside of the horizontal support surface. The trash skirt has a front face with a trash opening therein, and a movable trash receptacle is mounted directly under the trash skirt. A horizontal sliding connection between the fixed trash skirt and the movable trash receptacle includes horizontal side flanges on the trash receptacle and horizontal side channels on the trash skirt constructed and arranged to slidingly receive the side flanges on the trash receptacle.

Abstract: A portable wash station, comprising an outer water tank, a flexible inner water tank secured within the outer tank, and a sink basin affixed atop the outer tank including at least one sink, one water faucet for dispensing water from the outer tank and one drain for draining water from the sink into the inner tank. The flexible inner tank has an associated volume that expands as the water is dispensed from the outer tank and into the flexible inner tank, that contracts as the water is removed therefrom, and that is subjected to minimal hydraulic pressure from the water dispensed therein.

Abstract: A combined sink strainer and scrub brush unit (10) with or without a sink stopper disc (14) is provided which seats into a garbage disposal inlet (31) depending from a sink bottom (30a). A horizontal strainer base (11) has a series of drain apertures (17) therein and a series of spaced brush elements (12) either molded with the base (11) or attached to the base and depending from the base (11). A handle (15) is attached to the base (11) for manual removal of the unit (10) from the disposal inlet (31) and for hand-manipulating the unit (10) to scrape/scrub foodstuff and other debris from dish plates, cooking pots, and sink surfaces into the sink (30) and disposal inlet (31). A rubber stopper disc (14) is mounted on top of base (11) for rotational and sliding movement thereon. Radial drain holes (18) in the disc (14) are alignable with the base drain apertures (17) in a drain "open" position and are offset therefrom in a drain "closed" sealing position.

Abstract: A device is provided for holding a disposal waste bag in a kitchen sink. The device comprises an open frame through which the waste bag may be inserted with the bottom of the bag supported upon the floor of the sink in order that the load of the waste is not placed on the support frame. The top portion of the bag is folded over the frame with provisions for clamping the folded over portion to retain the bag. The clamping may be effected between the frame, which may be hinged to receive the bag, and a support base, the corner, rims or at an elevated portion of side walls of the sink or clamping at a slot or a clip on the frame. The hinge may include a hinged lid or the like. The frame may be folded in half to close the top of the bag. The support frame or a hinge for the frame is conveniently affixed by suction cups, glue or the like, to the sink either at an elevated part of the side wall or upon the top rim at the corner or a side of the sink.

Abstract: A waste storage and removal assembly for use with a waste chute under a sink wherein a carrier for a waste container is pivoted from positions outside and under the sink as well as raised and lowered in conjunction with a sealing member of the waste chute. The waste removal assembly is easily connected to a sink cabinet beneath the sink and is entirely accommodated therein so that no portion is visible when the waste container is stored thereunder. In an especially preferred form, the waste assembly is particularly suited for use with a chute connected to a saddle portion of a two basin sink which also has a drain control in the saddle.

Abstract: A sink drain guard is formed of an annular sleeve of flexible, resilient plastic material having a central cylindrical annular wall portion connected at its bottom to an inwardly extending shoulder. The shoulder is provided on its outer perimeter with a peripheral outwardly facing annular groove adapted to receive a flat elastomeric washer encircling its outside. The annular cylindrical central portion is connected at its top to a plurality of outwardly flared segments defined by a plurality of slots extending through a portion of the central cylindrical section and being open at its top. The guard is adapted to be installed in the drain opening of a sink equipped with a garbage disposal unit with the shoulder portion and gasket seated in a shoulder in the drain structure. The slots provide for drainage of liquid from the sink while preventing entry therein of tableware, and the outwardly flared portions provide a gripping surface for removal of the guard from the drain.

Abstract: A built-in sink including at least one wash basin (16) and at least one garbage chute (28, 30) is provided with a cover plate (40, 42) which is fastened to the sink so as to be laterally displaced or folded into a position next to the sink. The cover plate may be divided into two halves (40, 42) which are pushed together toward the center over the sink and the garbage chutes.

Abstract: The new and improved fish cleaning station includes a heavy duty stainless steel top with a durable metal base to make the facility nearly indestructible. Attached to the table are two heavy spray nozzles with steel braided hoses for providing a convenient source of water to clean the fish and table cleaning surface areas. A special area within the table provides a convenient station access for handicapped persons. Abstract: Garbage collection device for a built-in sink unit with a garbage discharge opening which is integrated into its top surface and below which a holder is arranged for several waste containers, one of which can be loaded with garbage through the discharge opening. To enable easy sorting of the garbage to be disposed of through the garbage discharge opening, the holder comprises a waste container support in the form of a merry-go-round and an actuating means for the support in order to selectively bring one of several waste containers into the position below the discharge opening.

Abstract: A receptacle for waste disposal adapted to be recessed into a counter-top. An outer rectangular container has a flange resting on the counter-top. A removable inner container is supported in the outer container and is adapted to contain a plastic bag folded over its top edge. Two of the top edges of the inner container are formed with curving flanges to act as handles for its removal. A lid lies flush with the flange of the outer container.

Abstract: To provide a single structured sink unit in which, selectively, household refuse can be separated into garbage (which is biodegradable) and trash (which is not biodegradable), the sink unit is formed with two aligned openings (4, 5) positioned front-to-back. The second opening may have, selectively, a refuse chute (11) inserted therein or a basket (12), for example for cleaning supplies or the like. The openings are alignable with either separate refuse containers (9, 10) or a single container which is compartmentalized, for selective placement of separated trash and garbage or for unseparated refuse.

Abstract: A waste collection device for accumulating solid waste downstream of a kitchen garbage grinder includes a separator for settling solid material from waste water and a removable waste accumulating container into which household garbage is collected. The waste accumulating container is removable and a cap, including a carrying handle, is fastenable over the opening for carrying to and emptying onto a compost heap. A pressure release valve is provided in the waste accumulating container to prevent damage from the build-up of gases.

Abstract: Built-in sink with a waste opening which is adjoined downwardly by a drop shaft terminating above a waste bin. The latter is guided in horizontal guide rails supported by a holding device which is attached to the underside of the built-in sink and also supports the drop shaft. In order to eliminate cleaning of the latter, there is inserted into the waste opening from above a removable protective shaft which is closable by a removable cover.

Abstract: A removable garbage bag holder for holding garbage bags open in kitchen sinks, such as the plastic food bags used in bringing food home from grocery stores, for receiving peelings of fruit and vegetables being peeled above it, and for receiving leftover food from dinner plates and the like, comprising a cylindrical ring, a first mounting bracket with a first suction cup, a second mounting bracket with a second suction cup, with the first suction cup facing 90.degree. away from the second cup so as to attach to adjacent walls in a corner of a sink.
