Patent number: 7083559Abstract: A novelty piece fabricated from a continuous roll of paper, with indicia applied to both sides. Fold lines and cut lines are provided at predetermined positions. The sheet is scored and die-cut, and an adhesive is applied at pre-selected locations. The paper is folded in thirds, and is cut again to produce the final product. In operation, the completed product has sliding panels that reveal hidden indicia, both in moveable panels and in apertures. The aforstated features can apply to both sides of the novelty piece.Type: GrantFiled: June 1, 2004Date of Patent: August 1, 2006Assignee: Structural GraphicsInventors: Rodney A. Castello, Sanford K. Patent number: 7045199Abstract: A photo album is provided having an ink-receptive coating on a surface of the photo album. A user may write text or draw pictures on the surface with an ink pen, such as with a gel-based ink pen. The ink-receptive coating protects the ink from smudging or smearing after the ink has dried. Consequently, the text and/or picture is durable. The writable or drawable surface may be the front or back exterior surface, and/or an interior surface.Type: GrantFiled: June 14, 2001Date of Patent: May 16, 2006Assignee: Avery Dennison CorporationInventors: Norman Yamamoto, Xing-Ya Li, Kenneth Lin, Zhisong Huang

Patent number: 7036253Abstract: A three sided label structure (100) is disclosed, having three interconnected label sections (101, 102, 103). The label sections (101, 102, 103) are provided with relevant information about a plant supported in a container (120). Hinge sections (105, 106) are provided to facilitate a bending of labels so as to form triangular label structures.Type: GrantFiled: April 28, 2003Date of Patent: May 2, 2006Assignee: International Master Products CorporationInventor: Gregg Edward Minaebo

Patent number: 7004507Abstract: A flat sheet of paper, or other thin flexible material, has information printed on one side in the form of a plurality of discrete panels or areas of text or images, while the entire other side is taken up by a large-scale, poster-like pattern. The panels or areas of text or images, are defined by crease lines created by folding the sheet of material. These creases are formed using a perpendicular fold method described in detail in this application. Each fold is perpendicular to the previous fold, creating a grid-like pattern, with each panel in the grid pattern containing a discrete quantity of text or images. When the invention is at its most folded state it has a relatively compact size. As the invention is unfolded, the panels of text or images are revealed in a specific sequence in order to tell a story or communicate some other type of sequentially ordered information.Type: GrantFiled: June 4, 2002Date of Patent: February 28, 2006Inventor: Neil Barnett Shulman
