Abstract: The present invention provides an automatic banner roll-up mechanism for automatically rolling up a banner or poster, which includes two tubes, a foldable material cloth, a connecting rod, two plugs, a cylindrical spring, a stopper and two mounting supports. One end of the connecting rod is sheathed by one plug and the cylindrical spring, and it is retained in one of the mounting supports. Ball bearings in one of the plugs are engaged with the connecting rod when the plug is rotated to twist cylindrical spring tight. After rotating the plug in a reverse direction to release the cylindrical spring, the connecting rod rotates in the reverse direction, thereby rolling up the foldable material. Further, the foldable material may be coated or printed with various patterns for decorative or sun-shading purposes.
Abstract: Device for posting bills by unwinding a fabric (300) carrying information, in which the fabric (300) is wound and unwound around two motorized and synchronized rollers (100, 200) in such a way that the fabric (300) is kept under tension as it is unwound, characterized in that:
the top end (310) of the fabric (300) is mounted removably on a fixing module (110) secured to the upper roller (100);
the fixing module (110) is connected to the upper roller (100) by an unwinding mechanism (400) allowing the fixing module (110) to be moved down close to the lower roller for fitting and removing the top end (310) of the fabric (300);
it comprises means (500, 501, 340) for keeping the fabric under transverse tension.
Abstract: A scrolling sign that includes a plurality of webs each having indicia which are displayed through a window on the sign face. The plurality of webs are disposed in vertical and horizontal alignment with one another. Each of the webs are disposed between a forward and a reverse web roll. A plurality of forward and reverse web rolls are rotatably mounted to a modular unit such that the individual web rolls are aligned. A drive shaft passes through each of the web rolls and is engageable with only one of the web rolls at a time. The engagement of the drive shaft with the web rolls, as well as rotation of the individual web rolls is manual. The drive shaft includes a driving mechanism which prevents the drive shaft from being rotated in an improper direction.
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for the display of advertising messages which comprises two rollers 7, 8 for winding and unwinding a flexible member (9), such as a sheet which bears advertising messages which can be seen through a front screen, within a body (1) with a transparent front screen (3) which is illuminated from the rear. Each roller (7,8) is driven by a transmission which includes an idling wheel (15, 16, 25, 26) so that when one roller winds up the flexible member the other roller idles thus permitting unwinding of the said member (9).
Abstract: A roll-type apparatus as a learning aid for reading and memorizing, the apparatus including a case provided with a display window therein, a word-listed paper ribbon wound about a pair of roll-shafts, forward and backward knobs interlocked with the roll-shafts by pinions, and guide rods for maintaining the ribbon under tension and in alignment with the display window during travel between the roll-shafts.

Abstract: A rollable chart having a web of flexible material wound about two rollers. An endless band extends around pulleys adjacent each roller for manual manipulation. Two unidirectional driving devices are provided each including an internally toothed surface, a disk axially adjacent the toothed surface formed with an inclined cam groove with which a pin on a sliding pawl cooperates.
