Abstract: The invention disclosed in this application is design to detect and alarm if any of the vehicles being transported on a vehicle carrier shift in such a manner that the vehicle on the carrier might impact the underside of a highway overpass. The invention also includes a continuous measurement of the carrier height relative to the roadway.

Abstract: The present invention claims and disclose an improved portable, modular, segmental, universally mountable digit-roll display unit with modular, adjustable, expandable, customizable display, and, or members, which could be universally attached to a plurality of surfaces via a variety of combination of attachments. These functions allow for simple, organized, customizable portable digital signage solutions for the individual. All the individual user has to do is to attach or detach the universally mountable digit-roll display unit according to the display surface dimensions. This makes the apparatus ideal for a peer-to-peer, or a marketer-to-contractor network. In addition, it enables marketer to track geo-location and viewer metrics, in order to dynamically push suitable content to display units and to mobile devices of proximal viewers.

The base component includes a base housing, a first electrical connector disposed in the base housing, and one or more wires coupled to the first electrical connector and routed through the base housing. The collar component includes a collar housing forming an interior volume configured to receive an upper portion of the base housing and a second electrical connector disposed in the collar housing and configured to electrically couple with the first electrical connector responsive to the collar housing receiving the base housing. The whip component connected to the collar housing. The whip component includes one or more electrical components configured to couple to the one or more wires via the first electrical connector and the second electrical connector.

Abstract: A display device controlled via a smart phone (preferably using an TNC App) to display content selected by a requesting rider (e.g., code, symbol, the rider name, or a photo) in a clear and visible way to the waiting rider is a convenient method to identify the rider's designated vehicle instead of trying to search through model, color, and license plates of approaching vehicles as they enter a pickup area (e.g., airport designated area). The selected content is displayed on a display unit on the designated vehicle, and is transmitted to the display unit via a server associated with the designated vehicle using a secure protocol.

Abstract: A motor vehicle having an interior compartment which is at least partially enclosed by windows is provided. At least one windshield or one side window or one rear window is assigned an aerodynamic device which is designed to, when an air flow impinges on the aerodynamic device, generate turbulence at a surface, facing toward the interior compartment, of the window. The aerodynamic device is also provided.

Abstract: Disclosed is an advertisement product and method that allows a user of said product to create durable, weatherproof and professional signage and similar type product, more specifically advertisement signage. A single said advertisement product and related methods provide the user with several custom and/or standard signage creation options; whereby signs are created by printing predefined and in some cases customizable data group data to durable sign stock. Another disclosed and said advertisement product and method provides the user with an option of creating custom sized and printed labels for application to specific areas of related third party advertisement products, displays, apparatuses and signage, and in doing so creating a professional looking and legible advertisement display products. Further disclosed is a method and process by which system linked contact information as applied to said created advertisement products make available powerful system services to aid in advertising processes.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to protecting the privacy of a user of a dispatching service for driverless vehicles. For example, a request for a vehicle identifying user information is received. A client computing device may be identified based on the user information. In response to the request, a driverless vehicle may be dispatched to the location of the client device. Signaling information may be generated based on a set of rules including a first rule that the signaling information does not identify, indirectly or directly, the user as well as a second rule that the signaling information does not identify, indirectly or directly, the user information. The location of the client computing device and the signaling information may be sent to the driverless vehicle for display. In addition, the signaling information may also be sent to the client computing device for display.

Abstract: An illuminated vehicular sign is provided including a vehicle and luminescent planar sheet. The luminescent planar sheet is constructed to provide illuminated alpha-numeric characters which are mounted to the horizontal planar surfaces of a vehicle. The alpha-numeric characters are mounted substantially horizontally so as to be seen from the air such as by helicopters or planes. The illuminated vehicle sign includes a switching system electrically connected to the luminescent planar panels for selectively controlling the transfer of power from said power source to the luminescent planar panels. The switching system including one or more adjustable variable resistors electrically connected to the luminescent planar panels for allowing one to selectively adjust the wattage provided to them.

Abstract: A sign holder assembly comprises a support member and a mounting member. The support member includes a substantially planar panel and a plurality of rails. The plurality of rails rearwardly extend from a surface of the substantially planar panel and define at least one reception track extending between two adjacent ones of the plurality of rails. The mounting member includes a main body, a coupling rail, and a magnet. The main body includes a bottom end and two opposing side surfaces. The magnet is secured to the bottom end and is configured to selectively and magnetically couple with a top spine of a separate display fixture. The coupling rail is coupled to one of the two opposing side surfaces of the main body. The coupling rail is slidably secured within the at least one reception track such that the support member is supported relative to the separate display fixture.

Abstract: A graphic panel assembly includes a graphic holder. The graphic holder includes a base having an upper support portion for coupling to a graphic and a lower support portion including an aperture. The graphic holder also includes a hardware assembly. The hardware assembly includes a bored rod having a threaded exterior and a threaded interior and a magnetic foot fixedly mated to the threaded interior of the bored rod. The threaded exterior is positioned within the aperture located in the lower support portion of the base. The bored rod is rotatable within the aperture to adjust a distance between the base and the magnetic foot.

Abstract: A flag and banner system for displaying a flag and/or a banner on a flat panel of a vehicle. The system features a first mast with two linear mast channels, a first indexing base with an attachment clip that attaches to an inner edge of a pivoting panel of the vehicle, and a first pliable flag. The system also features a second mast with two linear mast channels, a second indexing base with an attachment clip that attaches to the inner edge of the pivoting panel of the vehicle at an offset from the first indexing base, and a second pliable flag. The first pliable flag is connected to the first mast and the second pliable flag is connected to the second mast via attachment tabs. A banner is attached to both the first and second mast via attachment tabs.

Abstract: A plate for vehicle having corrugated roofs is provided. The vehicle's corrugated roof forms a plurality of troughs and ridges which extend longitudinally from the vehicle's front to the vehicle's rear. Meanwhile, the roof plate has a top surface that is substantially planar and a bottom surface that includes a plurality of channels and teeth. The roof plate engages and is affixed to the vehicle roof with the roof plate teeth extending into the vehicle roof troughs. Indicia, antenna, or light bars may be mounted to the roof plate's top surface.

Abstract: In combination with a highway tractor of the type having an operator's cab mounted on a frame, a vertical pivotal coupling means coupled to the frame behind the cab adapted to be coupled to a trailer, and an aerodynamic structure at the top of the cab which includes a plurality of LED bulbs and a heat generating element in the front of the aerodynamic structure. A front panel of glass or plastic material having information such as a logo containing letters and/or images located on its first surface, second surface or embedded surface covers the LED bulbs with a weatherproof seal. Light from the LED bulbs provides illumination for the information on the front panel to be viewed from the front of the highway tractor and heat from the heat generating element helps to keep the front panel having information such as a logo free of snow and/or ice.

Abstract: A structured wrap includes an inner support member and a cover enclosing the support member. The wrap can be attached to a cylindrical, cubic, rectangular or similar object, such as a vehicle roof/luggage rack, rear spoiler or a standalone component, such as a fence or pole. The wrap can allow for advertising or promotion of personal interests, as well as protection of the rack or component itself from scratches or other damage from normal use.

Abstract: A portable advertising system well suited for outdoor advertising at night includes a body adapted to be secured to a transportation vehicle and may include a universal attachment system for that purpose. An advertisement may be displayed on an advertising surface mounted on the body. An illumination source is directed towards the advertising surface and may be integrated into an electronic display unit or may be directed at an advertising sheet such as a vinyl sheet. When the advertising sheet is used, a sheet tension system typically maintains tension on the sheet, and an openable protective cover may protect the sheet when not in use. The illumination source may be controlled based on environmental light conditions, sheet tension and/or position of the protective cover. The body may be part of a cargo container such as an ISO container suited for securing to a railroad car or other vehicle.

Abstract: A memorial marker having a base for placement on a grave marker is provided. A spring element is coupled to the base and configured to affix the base to the grave marker. A rod having a first end and a second end is coupled to the base at the first end. The rod is disposed in a substantially upright position. The second end of the rod permits an ornament such as at least one of a medallion and a flag to be coupled to the second end of the rod. A kit for the memorial marker and a related method for memorializing a deceased individual are also provided.

The at least one exterior wall and the illumination source may be integrated into an electronic display unit. The at least one exterior wall may also be an advertising sheet composed of vinyl and the illumination source may be a plurality of light emitting diodes. The portable advertising system may include a railroad car arranged to receive the at least one universal attachment system.

Abstract: A multi-faceted, rotatable promotional display device for being retained relative to a vehicle for enabling the perception of multiple promotional messages from a single vantage point. A display casing with multiple display surfaces is rotatably retained relative to a base structure. Promotional messages are displayed relative to the display surfaces, and a drive arrangement rotates the display casing relative. The display casing can have a square, triangular, or other cross section. The base structure can have a cup portion with a raised peripheral ridge, and a shell can envelope the display casing. The display surfaces can be electronic display screens or light transmissive panels. A light source can be disposed within the display casing. A drive motor can be powered by a battery, a photovoltaic array, or a wind turbine. A clutch or a force sensor can prevent the application of excessive rotational force.

Abstract: A non-interactive advertising display is provided for use by golfers in their golf carts, which supplies useful advertising information to the cart occupant(s). In some cases, the display holds print advertisements protected under a clear removable film. Furthermore, the system is free from being unduly obtrusive in comparison to some interactive advertising methods due to its static, printed delivery—which can be free from animation, video or sound—and its unique placement, mounting under the front of the roof of the cart as opposed to the roof mounting poles. The advertising display can be used to attach to many commonly occurring golf cart roof shapes. This is due to a universal design and removable mounting brackets. Furthermore, the non-interactive advertising display can be maintained without the use of tools. Because the display can be manufactured in a way that purposefully matches cart roof colors this further minimizes the display's obtrusiveness.

Abstract: Systems for reminding a driver when height extending cargo is loaded on a vehicle. The warning systems can include an indicator that is selectively moveable between a warning position and a prevention position. In the warning position, the indicator is in a driver's field of vision. In the prevention position, the indicator at least partially obstructs cargo from being loaded on the vehicle. The indicator can be moved from the warning position to a prevention position by an arm, which can be designed to extend and retract.

Abstract: Techniques for displaying messages on top of a vehicle are disclosed. Although useful in many other areas, the techniques are particularly suitable for taxicab. According to one aspect of these techniques, a display unit is mounted on top of a vehicle. The display unit includes at least two display panels facing outward respectively. The display unit is controlled by a computing device to display various messages. In one embodiment, the vehicle is provided a Global Positioning System (GPS) that determines a location of the vehicle. Coupled to the GPS, the computing device sends the location information of the vehicle to a base station and receives returned information from the base station in accordance with the location information. The returned information, at least some of which are location based, is locally processed for suitable messages on the display panels. In another aspect, illumination of the display messages varies by a light sensor in response to intensity of ambient lights.

In an embodiment of the present disclosure, the apparatus comprises a plate comprising a first surface and a second surface; an expansion fitting comprising a first surface and a second surface, wherein the first surface of the expansion fitting is oriented toward the second surface of the plate and the expansion fitting comprises a flexible material; a securing bolt comprising a head and a threaded portion, the threaded portion being inserted through a hole in the plate and a hole in the expansion fitting; and an attachment nut wherein and end of the attachment nut is threadably engaged with the threaded portion of the securing bolt.

Abstract: A vehicle sign assembly includes a pair of elongated sign boards that are attached to a tow vehicle pulling a towed vehicle. The signs protrude away from side doors of the tow vehicle so that they are visible. Each sign has three transparent sides. One side is abutted against the tow vehicle while second and third sides converge outwardly from the tow vehicle doors so that the signs can be seen from a front and a rear of the tow vehicle. The second and third sides include indicia printed thereon, signaling that a vehicle is being towed. Each sign includes a chamber formed between the sides thereof. A mechanism is included for illuminating the signs so that one sign can remain illuminated when another sign is non-illuminated. A mechanism is included for affixing the signs to the doors of the tow vehicle such that signs can be adjusted as needed.

Abstract: A sign assembly for attachment to a supporting surface. The supporting surface is preferably a portion of a vehicle. The sign assembly preferably includes a display member having indicia formed thereon, a flexible member and an anchoring member operably associated with the display member for anchoring the display member to a portion of a vehicle. The flexible member allows the display member to move relative to the anchoring member to compensate for forces exerted on the display member.

Abstract: This system comprises a small advertising assembly that can be easily mounted onto the bed of a Low-Speed Electric Vehicle. The assembly includes an advertising display and a frame. The system allows for the advertising display to be attached in multiple positions such as: upright for viewing and stowed flat for transport. The advertising display has an internal light source and removable translucent advertising panels. This Low Speed Electric Vehicle Mobile Advertising System provides an advertising system that is mobile for both on- and off-road conditions, generates little or no noise or air pollution, and operates at pedestrian-friendly speeds to promote maximum exposure of the message being advertised.

Abstract: An antenna ball assembly which can display a message such as an advertisement or the like thereon and a method of use is disclosed. The antenna ball assembly has a body having at least one inclined surface and a passage therethrough, a tail attached to the body and at least one flexible stopper. A flexible stopper is preferably positioned at each of the bottom and the top of an antenna. The body is positioned between the stoppers on the antenna with the antenna passing through the passage in the body. The inclined surface is preferably two inclined body extension members or an inclined flat face. The two extension members form an angle between the body and an upper portion of the extension member of from about 30° to about 40°. The inclined flat face forms an angle between the inclined flat face and the vertical axis from about 30° to about 40°. The angle controls the movement of the body, thereby allowing the body to move up the antenna as the antenna moves, such as when attached to a car.

Abstract: A display assembly for attachment to a vehicle is provided that includes a panel assembly for receiving a display leaf; and a strap assembly connected to the panel assembly. The strap assembly is removably connected to a roof rack to removably mount the display assembly to the vehicle. This allows the panel assembly to extend downwardly along a side of the vehicle, such that the direction of travel of the vehicle is substantially in the vertical plane of the panel assembly.

Abstract: The luggage rack flag mount is a device designed for mounting accessories to the cross bar of luggage racks. This mounting mechanism consists of a smooth adjustable clamp that may be tightened on a crossbar by applying simple squeezing pressure on either end of the clamp. The clamp comprises hooks which are connected by a cross member. One of these hooks is inserted into a groove in the cross member and teeth on the surface of the groove and this hook interlock to hold them together. The present invention also consists of a mount attached to the upper surface of the clamp by a hinge. A flagpole may be secured to this mount and the wind resistance against the flag caused by the motion of the vehicle will cause the flag to rise. A block is secured to the clamp adjacent to the hinge so that the flagpole will remain upright when the vehicle is moving. When the vehicle stops moving the weight of the flag will cause the flagpole to fall to a resting position atop the clamp.

Abstract: A permit driver/young driver warning device comprising a reflective sign mountable on a vehicle roof to warn other drivers that a beginner driver driving the vehicle pursuant to a learner's permit only is driving the vehicle. The trapezoidal warning sign can take several geometric forms, such as having two to four extensive planar sides, and is removably attachable to the roof of the vehicle. Illumination on two or four sides inside the device can be provided by either incandescent lamps, fluorescent lamps, light emitting diodes, and mixtures thereof.

Abstract: A system shows messages on electronic displays, including networks of outdoor displays, such as displays mounted on vehicles. With such vehicle displays, a display's current geographical location can be sensed, such as by a GPS receiver in the vehicle or by multiple wireless receivers separate from the vehicle. The sensed location can then be used to select which messages are shown the display. Different values can be associated with showing messages on displays at different locations and times, and values associated with the locations and time through which a display travels can be summed, such as for charging advertisers or crediting vehicle operators. The system can be controlled by a computer system, such as an e-commerce site, which allows advertisers to upload message content, select messages, and select the time and place at which a messages is to be shown, either directly or by specifying criteria for the system to select such times and places.

Abstract: The present invention is an aerodynamic wind riding antenna ornament comprising a main body adapted to be rotatably and slidably attached to an antenna mast. The main body has an aerodynamic lifting surface to harness airflow from the movement of a vehicle to move the ornament up and down the antenna mast. The main body also has an aperture of sufficient size to allow for the device to freely slide up and down an antenna mast. Retaining means is removably coupled to the aerodynamic lifting surface near the aperture to prevent the aerodynamic wind riding antenna ornament from sliding off the top of the antenna. The retaining means can comprise a snap-on clip, spring-like clip, or a portion of an ornamental figure removably coupled to the main body. Optional stopper clamps can be removably coupled to the antenna to restrict where the device travels on the antenna. The device can have optically perceived indicia to increase the appearance.

Abstract: An advertising sign including a frame having a pair of ends, a pair of sides, a pair of advertising panels, and a plurality of lighting cartridges. The sides face different directions and the ends include slots that allow the insertion of the advertising panels into the sign through the ends. The lighting cartridges are also inserted into the sign through the ends and are located behind the advertising panels to back light the advertising panels in a substantially uniform manner.

Abstract: A supplemental warning apparatus for school buses which is mounted on the roof of the bus in a vertical plane spaced above the usual warning sign which is carried on the side of the bus, the warning apparatus including a display member carried by a base which display member is shiftable between a retracted position and an upright vertically extended warning position. The supplemental warning apparatus may be coupled with the warning sign assembly on the side of the school bus; the passenger door of the school bus; or may be directly operated by the driver of the bus, all to the end that a warning is given from the roof of the bus which can be seen by surrounding traffic when the view of the normal warning sign on the side of the bus is blocked by such traffic.

Abstract: A roadside warning sign system including sign support comprised of a housing having a top wall, a bottom wall, opposed side walls, an open front face, and an open back face. The housing has a light source disposed interiorly thereof. The light source has a power source. A plurality of signs are provided that are each couplable with the open front and rear faces of the housing of the sign support. The signs each have indicia thereon corresponding with vehicle problems or hazardous conditions. The signs are translucent. A base portion is provided that is adapted for coupling with a roof of a vehicle. The base portion is comprised of a lower horizontal member having an upper surface and a lower surface. The base portion includes a pair of side brackets extending upwardly from the upper surface of the lower horizontal member. The side brackets secure the sign support to the base portion.

Abstract: A mobile display system comprises one or more movable billboard displays, equipped with externally viewable display panels and a controller. The display is moved from location zone to location zone by a transporter which may comprise a person or a vehicle. The controller ascertains the display location and drives the display to generate a publicly viewable message selected for viewing within such location zone. The message is displayed pursuant to a schedule which includes date, time of day and display duration while the display is within the zone or until the display is located in another zone which is not included within the message schedule. A tiered system control network includes a plurality of fixed stations which transmit message content and scheduling data to the controller and which generate billing and other accounting records. An advertiser may communicate with the network for creating and changing message content and scheduling data.

Abstract: A marine advertising vessel comprises a floating member with superimposed deck supporting a display frame for mounting an advertising message or display well above water level to be readily visible along a shoreline. One or more vessels may be employed for an advertising display.

Abstract: A visual car spotter that is visible for a distance either day or night. The visual car spotter includes a telescopic mast with three telescopic segments frusto in cross section constructed of translucent or transparent material which when extended frictionally lock one within another. The mast is removably attached to a base which either has a permanent magnet embedded therein or has a layer of plastic with magnetic particles embedded therein adjacent to the bottom of the base for attachment to the metal roof of the automobile. In one embodiment a light at the distal end of the extended mast is a visual indicator at night and in another embodiment the light is in the base and the entire mast has illumination. A lanyard attached to the base or mast or both extending into the interior of the automobile between the door and door frame prevents theft and provides notice to the driver of the automobile to remove the visual car spotter from the roof.

The display device has a display area having indicia to discourage the summoning of an emergency response. In a method of using the display device, a display is placed proximate an emergency site, a first indicia is displayed to encourage the summoning of an emergency response, notice is received that help has been summoned, and the first indicia is replaced with a second indicia that indicates further summoning of the emergency response is not necessary.

Abstract: An illuminated teardrop shaped sign mounted on the roof of a taxicab carries at least one transparency backlighted by an electroluminescent panel. Two separately backlighted transparencies may be employed, one for displaying an advertising message and the other carrying an emergency message to enable the cab driver to alert police if a criminal act is taking place in the cab.
