Abstract: The present invention is directed to a device for attaching items to a surface, including attachment devices for attaching the device to the surface and pressure components connected to the attachment device, the pressure component having an upturned lip. The device may comprise a rib on a bottom surface to receive the attachment device such as adhesive, putty, fasteners, magnets, suction cups, etc. Pressure components may be biased toward the surface or a plate. Pressure may be applied between the pressure components and the surface or plate due to a curved lip on the pressure component. The pressure component and plate may be biased toward each other. The device may comprise an attachment core configured to receive the attachment device and attach to the pressure components. The device may include promotional designs or markings, and/or may be configured to hold items in a substantially non-coplanar arrangement with the surface.

Abstract: A semimanufactured product of a stopper includes: a plate-shaped bridging portion; a first curved portion extending from one end portion of the bridging portion integrally; and a second curved portion extending from the other end portion of the bridging portion integrally, and an entirety of the semimanufactured product is formed in a C-shape. The first curved portion includes a first locking part at the end portion. The second curved portion includes a second locking part that engages with the first locking part at the end portion. The first locking part includes a convex-shaped convex portion and a pair of receiving portions positioned so as to sandwich the convex portion. The second locking part includes: a concave-shaped concave portion which can accommodate the convex portion; and a pair of projecting portions positioned so as to sandwich the concave portion.

Abstract: A vacuum suction device of the present invention comprises: a cover which is rotatably mounted on the upper portion so as to couple to a flat surface by means of vacuum suction; an suction plate, which is coupled to the lower portion of the cover, for vacuum suction to the flat surface; and a height adjustment member, which is arranged between the cover and the suction plate, for moving the suction plate back and forth according to the rotation of the cover; wherein a plurality of fixing pieces are formed on the upper surface of the inside of the cover, a plurality of elastic stoppers are coupled to the inside of the height adjustment member, so as to be movable by sliding when each of the fixing pieces is in contact, and for fixing the cover by each of the fixing pieces being hooked to the end portion of the cover so as to prevent reverse rotation.

Abstract: A display device for displaying indicia from a flat surface. The display device includes a flat elongated display panel having a front surface and a back surface. The indicia is displayed on the front surface of the display panel. A round male projection is integrated and extends from the back surface of the flat elongated display panel. A compressible female retaining member is provided and has a concave internal recess adapted to receive the projection within the concave internal recess. A nut fastener is adapted to receive the projection from a first side. The female retaining member is received from an opposite second side of the nut fastener. As the nut fastener is threaded and tightened against the female retaining member, the female retaining member is compressed over the projection to secure the projection within the female retaining member. A flexible arm having a first end is attached to the female retaining member and a second end of the flexible arm is attached to a suction cup fastener.

Abstract: An emergency guidance and alerting system comprising an organizer located in a room having a door, wherein the organizer is capable of holding a slip sign and a window placard. The slip sign is capable of being placed under a door so that the slip sign can be viewed outside of the room, alerting rescue personnel that an occupant is in the room. The window placard is capable of being attached to a window alerting rescue personnel outside of the room that the occupant is in the room.

Abstract: A portable sign having a two axis adjustable mounting requiring no tools for adjustment. The sign may be an electronically programmable flat sign. The mounting may comprise at least one linear slidably adjustable arm configured for varying a position of the arm. The arm may have a suction cup attached thereto by a flexible band wrapping around the arm. The flexible band configured to allow rotation around the arm in a plane perpendicular to the arm. The flexible band having detents molded therein to ensure secure retention of the weight of the sign at any detent stop position. The sign may have a housing with slots running the length of the sign for attaching the arms. The housing may be extruded and may include board mounting and end cap attachment features in the extrusion. The sign may typically include four adjustable arms; however any number may be used.

The assembly includes a mounting sub-assembly configured to be removably secured to the structure, and a plurality of advertising members secured to the mounting sub-assembly. The plurality of advertising members are configured to be perpendicular to a surface of the structure. Each of the plurality of advertising members may include planar surfaces connected to front and rear edges. Graphics are displayed on the planar surfaces. The graphics are configured to be viewed from a first point of view or perspective. The plurality of advertising members provide a relatively unobstructed view through the assembly from a second point of view or perspective.

Abstract: A support stand includes a base, a suction assembly, and a connecting plate. The suction assembly includes a suction cup, a receiving seat, and an adjusting member. The suction cup forms a connecting shaft. The connecting shaft extends through the base and engages with the adjusting member, thus positioning the suction cup in the receiving seat. The connecting plate connects the suction assembly to the base. A display device using the support stand is also provided.

Abstract: Disclosed is a banner stand adapted to attach to and detach from a glassy surface. The banner stand includes a vacuum suction plate made of a soft material, a suction latching protrusion protruding from the vacuum suction plate; a lower support having a slanted lateral wall portion formed along a peripheral edge of an upper end of a base ring portion, the slanted lateral wall portion having operation ribs extending thereon at an interval; a suction plate operation member having rib guide protrusions guided on the operation ribs, a suction latching protrusion support, and a ball joint coupler; and a pole support having a pair of ball joints positioned on a bottom surface of a body so as to be coupled to the ball joint coupler of the suction plate operation member.

Abstract: The present invention consists of an illuminated, musical display box having removable character elements mounted on pins and a removable scenic background, which character elements are capable of moving in a pleasing fashion about the rear wall of the device and/or on a lower platform of the device. The motion display box is substantially upright and narrow in configuration such that it can easily be installed onto the interior portion of a standard home window to be seen from the outside of the house during a given holiday season. The device may be provided with a speaker and an electronic tune generating chip embodied in a removable module or housing. Since the characters, background and music module may be easily and conveniently changed out by the user as the seasons change or the interior contents may be desired to be updated, one musical display box may be used through several holiday season changes.

Abstract: A portable display unit is provided that illuminates a symbol formed by the unit. The display unit has a body substantially forming the symbol, which has an outline surface for receiving a rope light. The outline surface defines an inner region of the symbol and at least a section of the body substantially fills the inner region. The display unit further includes a rope light attached to the outline surface and connected to a power cord, as well as a hanging element attached to the body for removably attaching the unit to a support surface. The body and rope light may have various colors to enhance the symbol or represent colors for the logo formed by the symbol. In one embodiment, the body defines a channel and the outline surface forms a surface of the channel.

The illuminated flag decal has a generally rectangular frame with a front face and a back face, a plurality of suction cups that will secure the generally rectangular frame to the base surface, an image of a flag that is placed in the generally rectangular frame, an illumination source to cast light onto the image of the flag, a power source to provide power to the illumination source and a removable backing on the rear face of the generally rectangular frame for gaining access to and changing the illumination source.

Abstract: A device that is removably attachable to an interior surface of an automobile. The device includes a body portion defined by a planar surface area. A spring-clip fastening structure is attached to the body portion. The spring-clip functions to fasten identification information, such as a security pass, to the body portion. The body portion is provided with a beveled area, which area has an opening formed to receive a suction cup. The suction cup is employed to attach the device to an interior surface of the automobile. The planar surface area of the body is utilized to display advertisement media.

Abstract: The apparatus is an internally illuminated message display, predominantly for an automobile, and is readily adaptable for any window display. The apparatus comprises of a cylindrical lightweight molded plastic housing, with an interior reflective paint or reflective material, a light socket and light bulb. A snap on sleeve contains a slot for the insertion of a translucent disk. Said disk contains various messages and/or art symbols. The sleeve has a hinge connecting it to an adjustable oval transparent suction cup frame. The oval transparent suction cup attaches to the frame and spans the face of the display with the lip of the suction cup circumnavigating the outer edge of the frame. Hinged adjustment is made for attachment to an aerodynamic sloping automobile rear window, and is stabilized with a snap on rod from sleeve to suction cup frame. The gap created from adjustment between the sleeve and frame is covered with an opaque thin snap on plastic sock.

Abstract: A warning unit includes an upright housing in which a sound emitter is disposed, along with a sensor for responding to the approach of a pedestrian to energize the sound emitter. A suction device is provided in the bottom of the warning unit for engaging the floor to retain the unit in position, the suction device having an actuating lever disposed within the housing and accessible through a normally-locked door of the housing.

Abstract: An automatic toll detector case, formed of flexible material, has sidewalls, front and rear walls, a bottom wall, and a folding cover. The cover folds so that an extended portion of the rear wall folds over the open top of the case to enclose the toll detector. The cover is fastened to the case by a hook and eye fastener. The case is mounted to the interior of the vehicle's windshield by suction cups attached to the flexible material of the case with an E clip.

Abstract: An illuminated display assembly includes a flexible, translucent and rectangular display plate having an outer edge including two opposing side edges and two opposing end edges, and an image depicted on the display plate within the outer edge of the plate. The display plate also has a width dimension measured from the opposing side edges. The display plate is mounted to a support frame having a rectangular panel and a support member extending along a periphery of the panel. The support member includes two opposing side supports and two opposing end supports. A retainer is disposed along each of the side supports and the support frame has a dimension measured from the retainer on the side support that is less than the width of the display plate. Thus, when the retainer receives respective side edges of the display plate, the display plate deforms in a convex shape with respect to the support frame.

Abstract: A miniature sports logo display is disclosed. It allows a miniature sports team uniform, together with the team logo, the team color, a player's name and a player's number to be publicly displayed from a motor vehicle window. The invention is comprised of a miniature sports uniform having the described features and adapted to receive a miniature hanger, a miniature hanger inserted into the uniform for suspension of the uniform, and means, such as a suction cup, for securing the miniature hanger and uniform to a substantially vertical surface, attached to the hook of the miniature hanger. Optionally, the miniature sports uniform may be covered with a transparent cover.

In one embodiment, the hanging elements include suction cups for attaching the display unit to a window of a vehicle.

Abstract: A selectively reversible message board has a first face of the message board which displays one or more message cards, either preprinted, containing common messages such as “OUT OF GAS”, “FLAT TIRE”, etc., or hand written. The message board may be reversed and the second face is adapted to receive a hand written message. Reversible suction cups are retained in keyhole shaped openings so as to minimize damage to the suction cup tabs when they are reversed. A flashing signal lamp is reversibly mountable on either face of the message board and serves to call attention to the message board and the stopped vehicle. The message board and accessories are provided in a kit contained in a reclosable bag. Storage inside the passenger compartments allows convenient configuration and deployment of the message board without need for any vehicle occupant to leave the vehicle.

The mounting plate is fabricated of a relatively hard material and has a generally rectangular configuration. It has a front surface and a rear surface. There is a long top edge with a parallel bottom edge and two parallel side edges there between. There is next provided a suction cup which is fabricated of a flexible elastomeric material. The suction cup has an internal generally spherical concave surface and an external generally spherical convex surface with a round circumferential edge there between. Lastly, there is provided a suction cup coupler. The coupler is fabricated of the same type of flexible elastomeric material as the suction cup and formed integrally therewith. The coupler has a front section coupled to the mounting plate. A pair of hook and loop fastener strips are coupled to the front surface of the mounting plate.

The apparatus comprises of a cylindrical lightweight molded plastic housing, with an interior reflective paint or reflective material, a distal light socket and light bulb. Hinged adjustment is made for attachment to an aerodynamic sloping automobile rear window, and is stabilized with a snap on rod from sleeve to suction cup frame. The gap created from adjustment between the sleeve and frame is covered with an opaque thin snap on plastic sock.

Abstract: A foldable map stand apparatus for automotive vehicles is set forth comprising a means for fastening the apparatus onto an automobile interior surface, a pivotally attached telescoping arm for adjusting the angle of display, and a holding means for receiving and displaying a portion of a map. The foldable map stand apparatus can be folded into a more collapsed form so that it may be stored in a more convenient location within the automobile when the map holder is not in use.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel lighting display system for numerous uses. Consisting of the following members. An enclosure with a transparent front face, containing a channel along its length for locating and retaining an assembly of circuit boards with alphanumeric characters. The circuit boards have light emitting diodes (LEDs) arranged to form alphanumeric characters. The circuit board characters are connected electrically in series or parallel and can be arranged to form an illuminated message, word, or series of numerals.

Abstract: The invention provides a resilient, moulded figure, intended for fun and/or decoration, which can be temporarily stuck, by means of a sucker, to flat surfaces such as window panes, refrigerator doors, bathroom tiles, children's blackboards, etc., and aims to address particularly, with children's safety in mind, the security with which the sucker is attached to the figure. Utilising moulding techniques requiring the sequential application of resilient plastics material to a mould, front and rear-facing surfaces of the figure are formed, and the rear-facing surface is attached adhesively to a tubular sleeve of resilient material which has a portion dimensioned to closely surround a relatively narrow neck portion disposed between the active area of a sucker and a bulbous end portion of the sucker, which end portion is accommodated by another portion of the sleeve.

The inwardly facing surfaces of the lengths of the frame structure provide mounting engagement devices such that the lengths of frame structure are fixed onto the mirror in an end-to-end, closed-figure arrangement without mutual engagement. This enables the mirror to appear as if framed by an integral frame assembly without suffering the drawbacks of making, handling and using such.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a device for displaying messages, including bumper stickers. The invention includes means of adjusting the horizontal length to allow insertion therein of messages of varying lengths. The invention also includes means of removably attaching the device to other surfaces, such as the windows of cars. The invention is constructed such that the upper end is open allowing protrusion therethrough of messages of varying heights.

Abstract: A durable lightweight rigid transparent envelope that is slightly curved in shape from top to bottom and attaches to automobile windows via suction cups in order to hold and display a variety of double-sided thin flexible lightweight message sheets, which are highly color-contrasted, light-reflective and contain large font character size messages in order to facilitate visual communication between automobile operators, passengers and pedestrians at distances normally encountered on streets and highways. A selected message can be displayed in the envelope through the envelope's transparent front side when it is attached to the inside of an automobile window, or a selected message can be displayed through the envelope's transparent back side while the envelope is attached to the outside of an automobile window by the same means.

Abstract: A releasable suction cup is formed with a tab formed integral with its rim, and with a release filament attached to the tab. On assembly of the suction cup with a panel to be mounted to a smooth surface by the suction cup, the release filament is threaded through a hole in the panel so that an end of the release filament is accessible adjacent the panel surface that is opposite from the suction cup. When the panel is mounted with the suction cup to the smooth surface, the suction cup can be released by pulling on the accessible end of the release filament. A second embodiment of the invention consists of a double-sided suction cup wherein each cup member has a tab with a release filament attached to its tab and threaded through a hole in the panel to be mounted to a smooth surface. With one side of the double-sided suction cup attached to the smooth surface, the release filament connected to that suction cup side remains accessible through the panel to be pulled to release the suction cup.

Abstract: A temporary license device configured for removable mounting to an interior surface of a vehicle window includes an elongated generally rectangular plate formed of transparent plastic material. The plate is flexible to conform to a curvature of the vehicle window and has a memory characteristic enabling the plate to return to its original shape after being mounted. Each side of the plate has a protective sheet removably attached thereto to prevent damage to the plate prior to mounting. The plate and protective sheets have a plurality of apertures extending therethrough. A plurality of suction cups are removably connected to the plate to mount the plate to the vehicle window.

A pair of suction cups are mounted along the side edges for holding the two panels together and for detachably mounting the panels on a supporting structure.

Abstract: A roadside warning sign system including sign support comprised of a housing having a top wall, a bottom wall, opposed side walls, an open front face, and an open back face. The housing has a light source disposed interiorly thereof. The light source has a power source. A plurality of signs are provided that are each couplable with the open front and rear faces of the housing of the sign support. The signs each have indicia thereon corresponding with vehicle problems or hazardous conditions. The signs are translucent. A base portion is provided that is adapted for coupling with a roof of a vehicle. The base portion is comprised of a lower horizontal member having an upper surface and a lower surface. The base portion includes a pair of side brackets extending upwardly from the upper surface of the lower horizontal member. The side brackets secure the sign support to the base portion.

Abstract: A toy figure is provided with multiple orifices which enable a suction cup to be releasably retained within the orifices. The suction cup is attached to the toy figure through an engagement member which is inserted into and received by the orifice. The attachment device also includes a base member connected to the proximal end of the post. The attachment device further includes a securement device positioned on the distal end of the post to grippingly engage the post and to resist removal of the securement device from the post. The invention further includes a method for making an ornamental device for attachment to a surface.
