  • Patent number: 8006435
Abstract: A safety gate system having an electronic display for seamless integration into a barrier with electronic display capabilities. The safety gate system includes a post and a gate hinged to the post. The gate face and post carry electronic display modules which appear when the gate is closed, as continuous with and seamlessly integrated into the display of the barrier. Preferably, the hinges are four-bar hinges, most preferably two sets of paired four-bar hinges. The safety gate also includes a lower chase or sill which allows both signal wiring and power to pass under the gate. Braced rear legs compensate for the cantilever forces of the gates when open. A latch, preferably an electromagnetic latch, auto-releases in response to a pre-set sufficient force level, such as arising crowd surge forces, being applied to the gate, as well as being remotely releasable.

  • Patent number: 7845101
Abstract: A self-returning horizontal sign system mounts to an associated structure. The system sign includes an upper rail having front and rear, parallel, spaced apart tracks and a lower rail having front and rear, parallel, spaced apart tracks. A pair of panels extend between and span the upper and lower rails. Each panel has a carrier assembly mounted to an upper region thereof for cooperation with a respective front or rear track of the upper rail. The carrier assemblies have at least two rollers that are carried in the upper rail. The panels each move between an open position and a closed position. A closure formed as a pull box is associated each panel and includes a spool having a cable wrapped around it. The spool is rotatable to retract and extract the cable from about the spool. • Patent number: 7266917
Abstract: An advertising system and method in which an advertising mural is segmented and portions of the advertising mural are formed on each one of a plurality of laterally aligned overhead stowage bin doors in a commercial aircraft. Each segment of the advertising mural is formed on an independent, strippable laminate panel that is secured to its associated stowage bin door so as to be generally non-removable therefrom without the aide of a heat gun or like implement. Changing the advertising mural involves using a heat gun or like implement to remove each laminate panel from its associated bin door. New laminate panels collectively forming a different advertising mural can then be individually applied to the bin doors. Accordingly, the same bin doors can be re-used to present a different advertising mural.
