Abstract: A display device capable of discharging liquid includes a display panel for displaying an image; a panel driver coupled to the display panel configured to drive the display panel; and a guide frame coupled to a rear surface of the display panel and supporting the display panel, wherein the guide frame defines a circuit arrangement space to accommodate the panel driver, and the guide frame has at least one liquid discharging opening through which liquid in the circuit arrangement space is discharged to an outside of the display device.

Abstract: A method for protecting an advertising sign from weathering conditions is disclosed. The method includes the operation of providing a frame configured to hold a plurality of sign segments, the sign segments having a front side and a back side each configured to carry graphical images. The front and back sides of each sign segment can be covered with a substantially transparent covering configured to enable each sign segment to be essentially undamaged by weathering effects for a period of at least seven years. The plurality of sign segments can be configured to be stacked on top of one another within the frame. The frame can be configured to enable removal and replacement of one or more of the plurality of sign segments.

Abstract: An advertising display assembly is provided. The advertising display assembly includes a sleeve having a first panel and a spaced-apart second panel that defines a space therebetween for receiving a graphical display sheet. The advertising display assembly also includes an attachment device for attaching the sleeve to a proximal structure and a seal carried on the first panel for providing access into the space for receiving the graphical display sheet.

Abstract: A frame for attachment to a truck panel or a wall for holding a banner having a top base plate, a left side base plate, a right side base plate, and a bottom base plate. After the top of the banner is aligned and duct taped to the top base plate, the banner can be accurately cut to size by simply inserting a blade through the banner and into cutting groove on the base plates which becomes guides for the blade. No math is required. At least one yieldable member having a high coefficient of friction is coupled to each base plate and a cap plate is located on top of each base plate to lock the edges of a banner to each base plate by pressing on the yieldable members on each base plate when the banner is located on top of the yieldable members.

Abstract: A retail display article based upon an original photograph of a subject including at least one item of clothing and having visible portions of skin. The display article includes a back panel and a display photograph. The back panel defines a flat surface. The display photograph depicts an edited version of the original photograph such that the visible portions of skin depicted in the display photograph is configured to imitate a general appearance of a mannequin. The display photograph is disposed on the flat surface of the back panel. The display photograph and the back panel are collectively cut about the perimeter of the subject. Retail display systems and methods of construction provide additional advantages.

Abstract: The sign with a waterproof pocket provides an advertising or display sign that allows the user to customize the information displayed thereon. The sign includes a panel adapted for having user-selectable indicia formed thereon. The panel is preferably formed from a waterproof or water-resistant material, allowing the sign to be displayed outdoors without suffering from weather or water-related damage. A pocket is mounted to the panel, with the pocket having opposed open and closed ends. The pocket is formed from a waterproof and transparent material, such as transparent plastic, and is provided with a releasable closure for the open end. Additional display media may be removably inserted within the transparent pocket for display on the sign. The display media may be a smaller panel or other display signage, or may include items for removal by potential customers, such as brochures, business cards or the like.

Abstract: A wire support and a method of making is disclosed for supporting an object from a base surface. The wire support comprises a plurality of wires with each of the wires having a lower section, an intermediate section and an upper section. The plurality of wires are twisted along the intermediate sections for providing an upright support. The lower sections of the plurality of wires extend outwardly from the upright support for insertion into the base surface to mount the wire support. The upper section of the plurality of wires extends outwardly from the upright support for engaging with the object to support the object relative to the base surface.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a multifunctional signboard having a window function. The signboard is constructed so that a film (2) is provided between double glass sheets (3) and liquid (1) is filled between the film (2) and the glass sheets, thus achieving an effect as if the film (2) were impregnated with the liquid, and preventing the film (2) from shimmering due to the refractive indices of the glass sheets and air, therefore serving as a visual device that causes the double glass sheets (3) and the film (2) to be perceived as one, and which is constructed so that a transparent film or a film (2) on which various patterns are printed is wound around take-up rolls (4) and is driven vertically or horizontally, thus expressing a desired degree of transparency or various designs, therefore variously altering indoor and outdoor environments.

Abstract: A heat emitting beacon having a rotating parabolic mirror to concentrate the heat from a gas heat source, said mirror back being coated with a passive cold emission material comprised of a metalized plastic film creased and crumpled to form a multitude of reflective facets and preventing any reflected light. In a second embodiment, a rotating, single- or double-sided surface is coated with the passive cold emission material. In another embodiment, a signal beacon is comprised of a plurality of detachable strips of the passive cold emission material. In another embodiment, a plurality of surface elements covered with the passive cold emission material is arranged as a louver.

Abstract: A safety bumper, and method for covering edges and corners of a street sign, has an elongate bumper element and a clip element. The elongate bumper element has a pliable body, a generally U-shaped cross-section for fitting around the edges and corners of the street sign, and two ends. The pliable body has a thickness for preventing the street sign from causing injuries, while the pliable body is still pliant enough to wrap closely around the corners of the sign without bulging away from the street sign, enabling the elongate bumper to cover substantially all of the edges and corners. The clip element functions to clip together or otherwise fasten the two ends of the elongate bumper element.

Abstract: A biased-assisted sign mounting system is for mounting a sign to a structure, that includes a vertical upright post having a face having a plurality of vertically extending, spaced apart openings. The mounting system includes a spine adapted to mount to the vertical post. The spine has a face portion. Upper and lower sign mount portions are mounted to the spine. At least one of the mount portions has a biasing element securing portion. Upper and lower arms are mounted to respective upper and lower sign mount portions. The arms each have a pivot defining collinear axes. One of the upper and lower arms has a biasing element securing portion. A biasing element operably connects one of the arms to its respective mount portion such that the arm is pivotal between first and second positions and is biased toward the first and second positions by the biasing element. A floating insert mounts the spine to the upright.

Abstract: A space frame support structure for highway signs comprises upper and lower chord members; a plurality of weld-free, single-cast connectors attached to and spaced along the respective length of the chord members; a plurality of diagonal members disposed between the upper and lower chord members in a series of “V”-shaped configuration connected end-to-end, each diagonal member forming a leg of a respective “V”. Each leg including a bottom end portion and a top end portion. The bottom end portion is attached to a respective connector attached to the lower chord member. The top end portion is connected to another connector attached to the upper chord member. A plurality of pins are carried by each connector to secure each connector to the upper or lower chord member and to the respective bottom or top end portions of the diagonal members.

Abstract: A license plate cover has a transparent or translucent frame, an annular insert and an elastomeric gasket. The frame includes a periphery and an inner side for disposal adjacent to a license plate. The inner side includes an elongate annular channel near the periphery of the frame. The annular insert is disposed adjacent the flat bottom of the channel. An elastomeric gasket is disposed on top of the insert in the channel.

Abstract: A gravesite memorial display includes a shell structured to provide a weathertight interior. The shell is constructed of at least one fixed portion, at least one movable portion, and a transparent portion. The transparent portion enables items placed within the interior of the display to be viewed by nearby individuals. The movable portion, which is movably coupled to the fixed portion is arranged to be movable between a closed position, wherein the interior is sealed, and an open position, providing access to the interior. When in the open position, an individual may place items for display purposes within the weathertight interior and or remove items from the interior.

Abstract: A shock mount to support the static weight of a housing while at the same time effectively attenuating shock or vibration imparted to the housing with the shock mount having a shock isolator for supporting the weight of the display and a bezel extending around the display with the bezel comprising a second shock an d vibration isolator that coacts with the first shock set of shock isolators to further attenuate shock and vibration forces to the system.
