  • Patent number: 7614173
Abstract: Provided is a road traffic-control signboard assembly with which a road traffic-control signboard can be assembled while being linked with a vertical support at right angle. The road traffic-control signboard assembly is fitted with and fixed to a road traffic-control signboard stay bar and has a structure of being returned to an original position even if impact by typhoon or collision of vehicles is applied to the road traffic-control signboard. Thus, the road traffic-control signboard assembly prevents a phenomenon that an initial fixed position of the road traffic-control signboard is changed because of impact by typhoon or collision of vehicles which is applied to the road traffic-control signboard, to thereby lose the function of the road traffic-control signboard.

Abstract: One embodiment of an orbital sign assembly, allowing for attachment to and full pivot or orbit capability of the attached signage around a horizontal run of span wire or other support member. Any one traffic signage is supported from a horizontal run of a span wire or other support member by a orbital sign assembly comprising a sign bracket (10) with attachment points at opposing ends and center, a pivot attachment (2) allowing 360 degree pivoting of the sign, which adjoins the sign bracket (10) to the a cable saddle (1) which contains two pivot attachment rails (3) for limiting side to side movement of the pivot attachment on its track. Conventional U-bolts (5) are located within the cable saddle and are used to clamp down to the span wire while still allowing traffic signal cables to be inserted through a cable slot (4) within the cable saddle (1). A cant tilt slot (11) is located on the sign bracket for leveling signage.

  • Patent number: 7591095
Abstract: A warning plate assembly for indicating the excess width of a tractor, in particular an agricultural tractor. The assembly comprises a holder having a fixing part (1) attached to the vehicle and a deployable arm (3) carrying the warning plate (9). The deployable arm (3) is swivellable about a vertical swivel axis (2a) of the fixing part between a lockable deployed position, in which the deployable arm and the warning plate are disposed transversely to the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, and a lockable retracted position in which the deployable arm is disposed substantially in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. The length of the deployable arm (3) is adjustable (6,7) to cater for different widths of vehicle. The warning plate may be in two halves (10,11) hinged about a vertical axis so that the halves can be folded one over the over for storage.

  • Patent number: 7571561
Abstract: A deployable temporary traffic sign system requires no roadside assembly, because the sign comprises a flexible sign panel which may be changed in size merely by folding one portion of the sign panel over a second portion of the sign panel about a crease line disposed therein. The sign itself is supported on a sign stand which is pivotally mounted to a support base.

  • Patent number: 7523912
Abstract: A pivot assembly that can be retrofitted to existing traffic poles. The pivot assembly comprises a bearing assembly disposed between a top plate and a bottom plate. The bottom plate connects to the existing pole foundation with the standard anchor bolt arrangement. Similarly, the top plate connects to the base plate of the traffic pole using additional bolts. Bearings in the pivot assembly allow the pole to rotate relative to the foundation. Preferably, roller bearings are utilized, as these can be contained substantially within the pivot assembly without extending down into the foundation or up into the pole. This means the pivot assembly can be installed in existing, standard traffic poles and foundations without modifying either. The pivot assembly does not interfere with existing wiring or access openings.

Abstract: A sign assembly may include a display portion and an arm extending from the display portion. The arm may be moveable from an at-rest position, through a warning stroke in a first direction upon engagement with a vehicle to a fully extended position at an end of the warning stroke. An arm retraction mechanism may cooperate with the arm so as to provide a resistance force toward the at-rest position upon vehicle engagement while the arm is moving through the warning stroke. The retraction mechanism may be further adapted to return the arm to the at-rest position upon disengagement with the vehicle.
