Abstract: A banner stand for connecting a banner is disclosed. The banner stand includes a frame structure having a plurality of poles and a plurality of coupling joints. The plurality of poles and the plurality of coupling joints interconnect forming a banner receiving area. Each of the coupling joints has a plate facing the banner receiving area. Each plate has a hole. The frame structure includes an elastic cord drawn through the plurality of poles and the plurality of coupling joints to maintain a sequential order. The banner stand includes spike members connecting at the bottom of the frame structure. The spike members go into the ground and help to position the frame structure in an upright position. The banner receiving area receives the banner. The frame structure includes a banner attachment cord drawn through the holes in the plates for connecting the banner.

Abstract: A sign having a display section formed from two pliable sheets and a frame assembly having members joined by various connector pieces. The connector pieces may include couplers and corner pieces. The connector pieces may be used to construct the frame assembly. The connector pieces may also be used to stow the frame assembly when the sign is not in use or being packaged for shipment and also during shipment. For example, the connector pieces may cover the ends of frame assembly members to keep them organized and to keep the members from piercing packaging or other parts of the sign.

Abstract: A frame for a sign. The frame comprises a plurality of struts and corner brackets. The struts have an exposed front surface including a gripping means. Each corner bracket slidably engages with two of the struts at an angle. The corner brackets also have an exposed front surface including a gripping means. The gripping means of the struts is substantially continuous with the gripping means of the corner brackets so that when the corner brackets and struts are engaged to form a polygon, the polygon includes a substantially continuous gripping means that is engageable with a sign to mount the sign on the frame.

Abstract: A series of self-standing and portable advertising displays include a hollow base with access to its interior that may be filled out with a solid or liquid material in order to add weight to the displays. By a combination of common elements as lateral supports, connecting unit, lower and upper corners units, advertising support frame and hollow base advertising displays having tower shaped structures of different polygonal sides are easily assembled. The obtained display uses tongue and grooves as well as key-hole mechanisms to fastening and secured different components of the structure.

In various embodiments a frame assembly according to the invention may comprise a cover (32) for protecting sheets of advertising, a backing (34) for supporting the sheets, and various types of novel frame members (12). In other embodiments frame assemblies according to the invention can comprise sets (72, 74) of mating frame members (12), the frame members held together, when advertising is installed, at least partly by the interaction of flanges or other portions of the mating members.

Abstract: A display system is used to securely and tautly mount a readily changeable advertising display face. The display system comprises a frame that defines a support structure, and a display face removably attached to the support structure. The support structure is adapted to be fixedly mounted to a wall of a building, or a sidewalk, or the like. The support structure and display face have interchangeable have a plurality of interchangeable fasteners, e.g., snap members. The display face can thereby be easily attached to and detached from the support structure while hiding the body of the support structure from sight.
