Aperture Card Patents (Class 40/703)
  • Patent number: 8793912
Abstract: A greeting card display system features a greeting card with a card first panel and a card second panel pivotally attached. A first crease divides a card front surface from a card back surface and a card first inside surface from a card second inside surface. The system features a protective sleeve with a sleeve first panel and a sleeve second panel. The protective sleeve features a sleeve cavity with a single sleeve opening adapted for insertion of the greeting card. The sleeve first panel is pivotally located on the sleeve second panel via a sleeve first outside crease that divides the front surface from the back surface and a sleeve first inside crease that divides the first inside surface from the second inside surface.

  • Patent number: 8341862
Abstract: A greeting card display system featuring a sleeve, wherein at least the bottom edge is sealed and either the first or second side edge is sealed; a slot disposed in the top edge adapted to accommodate insertion of a greeting card between the front and back surface; an inside crease disposed in the front surface of the sleeve, the inside crease divides the front surface into a first inside surface and a second inside surface, the sleeve can move between an open position wherein first inside surface does not contact the second inside surface and a closed position wherein the first inside surface contacts the second inside surface; and a spine crease disposed in the back surface of the sleeve formed by moving the sleeve from the open position to the closed position, the spine crease divides the back surface into a first outside surface and a second outside surface.

  • Patent number: 8065829
Abstract: A sign assembly includes a base material, a filmic substrate imaged with a design, and a sign assembly frame that includes a sign framing member of fixed position in relation to the base material. The sign framing member includes a projecting portion terminating at an inside edge of the sign framing member. The display sign is adhered to the base material. The inside edge of the sign framing member is located within the projected area of the display sign and is spaced from the base material and the filmic substrate. The display sign is capable of being applied through an opening defined by the inside edge of the sign framing member. The space between the inside edge of the projecting portion and the display sign includes a void.

  • Patent number: 6105296
Abstract: A stereo slide mount can reproduce an accurate stereo effect to facilitate easiness of mounting operation and accurate positioning. Plural types of stereo slide mounts 1 (#1 to #n) that widths W of windows stepwisely decrease have the same pitch Pw of the windows and different width W of the windows and fitting pitches of right and left films. A base film is provided with a positioning pin 6 for engaging perforations of the film, and a cover frame is provided with pin holes 7 to be engaged with the positioning pins 6. The positioning pins 6 and the pin holes 7 are provided at positions that the inner vertical sides of the windows are brought into agreement with the inner edges of the pictures of the film. The stereo slide mount having smaller widths of the windows increases gap width (P.sub.0, P.sub.1, P.sub.2, . . . ) between two sets of right and left positioning pins 6 to extend the pitches of the right and left films, and the outer masking amounts of the right and left films increase.

  • Patent number: 5928758
Abstract: A card blank for identification cards and the like that include a microfilm with predetermined information to be read by a common utensil such as a magnifying glass or a microscope. The card includes two sheets that joined together at predetermined areas and include each a window with similar dimensions and in alignment. The microfilm is positioned between the two sheets exposing most of its area with information. The edges of the microfilm are sandwiched by the two sheets defining a peripheral wall around the windows. One of the embodiments contemplates the use of a slot in one of the sheets with a peripheral pocket surrounding the windows. This allows the ready insertion of the microfilm. Another embodiment includes a flexible second sheet that folds back permitting a user to bring one straight edge of the microfilm in abutting contact with an interface line thereby readily positioning the microfilm so that a substantial portion of its information is exposed.

  • Patent number: 5086204
Abstract: A method of making a plug-type heat flux gauge in a material specimen in which a thermoplug is integrally formed. The thermoplug and concentric annulus are formed in the material specimen by electrical discharge machining and trepanning procedures. The thermoplug is surrounded by a concentric annulus through which thermocouple wires are routed. The end of each thermocouple wire is welded to the thermoplug, with each thermocouple wire welded at a different location along the length of the thermoplug.
