Abstract: A frame structure disposing thereon a specific one of plural display panels having at least a first thickness and a second thickness is provided. The frame structure includes a receptacle disposing thereon the specific display panel having a specific thickness equivalent to one of the first and second thicknesses, a set of first fastening elements, each of which includes a first protrusion, and a set of second fastening elements, each of which includes a second protrusions, wherein the sets of first fastening elements and second fastening elements are peripherally disposed around the receptacle, each of the first protrusions has a height corresponding to the first thickness and each of the second protrusions has a height corresponding to the second thickness, whereby the specific display panel is fastened by one of sets of the first and second protrusions having the respective height corresponding to the specific thickness.

Abstract: A mounting and framing apparatus and system are disclosed in which displayed items such as graphics, photographs, mattes, paintings or the like are positioned between multiple transparent plates of glass or plastic to impart a sense of depth thereto, clamping bars apply a compressive force to the transparent plates for holding the displayed items in place, and decorative members are provided for adding aesthetic appeal.

Abstract: A mix and match framing system comprising a frame adapted to receive artwork, such as a mirror, painting, print or the like therein. The frame includes a ledge or ridge against which the artwork abuts and swivelled closure members at spaced locations on the back of the frame for securing the artwork in place. The system also includes spacing elements that may be used to compensate for differences in thickness of the artwork.

Abstract: A display frame includes a frame body defining a receiving space with an access opening facing forwardly, a holding tray adapted for holding a flat panel device, like a tablet PC, and movable relative to the frame body between an extending position where the holding tray extends forwardly and outwardly of the opening, and a retreat position where the holding tray retreats into the space, a front profile frame movable relative to the frame body between open and closed positions, and a linkage pivoted on the front profile frame and coupled to a key which is disposed on the holding tray such that when the linkage is moved in response to the movement of the front profile frame, the holding tray is moved between the extending and retreat positions.

Abstract: A snap-together poster frame includes a plurality of edge supports, each comprising a plurality of segments having a slotted, channel-shaped cross-sectional profile to define a single opening having an unobstructed mouth for receiving an edge of a poster board. The segments include a top wall, a bottom wall and a sidewall joining the top and bottom walls. The edge support is resilient and the sidewall includes a generally L-shaped instep by which it is joined to the bottom wall having three flex points which allows the opening to adjust to the width of the posterboard inserted therein, thereby retaining the edge of the poster board via an interference fit.

Abstract: An adjustable frame for displaying three dimensional objects includes a peripheral border unit having segments with a front face and a channel extending along the segments, a side face formed integrally with the front face, keys for interconnecting the segments, a back panel, a retainer tab for contacting an outer surface of the back panel, a fastener including a head for retention within the channel and an elongated shank extending from the head for adjustably engaging the retainer tab along the shank and securing the back panel to the peripheral border unit. An outer surface of the front face of each segment having an ornamentally attractive façade. The frame may further include a second channel extending along the frame having an opening facing the back panel, a side panel for insertion in the second channel and extending from the front face toward the back panel to form a shadow box within the frame.

Abstract: System and method for mounting front-loaded photographs, which are held in place in a recess with a smooth curvilinear sidewall by a flexible plastic retaining ring, which is precisely formed to frictionally engage the smooth sidewall. A variety of recess shapes and decorative retaining rings are useable to provide a variety of displays, either single or in an array. The preferred method of forming the recess is by routing, using a template set or computer-controlled router bit.

Abstract: A picture frame capable of storing more than one picture, which includes a front frame member hingeably and removably attached to a rear support member, where the front frame member includes a frame surrounding a transparent display window and where the rear support member includes a picture compartment for storing pictures. The front frame member also includes a removable mat board mounted on the inside of the transparent window. The mat board forms a border on the inside of the display window and is releasably secured to the front frame member by flexible support arms. The front frame member and the rear support member are connected by a pair of releasable and interrelating fasteners mounted on the front frame member and the rear support member, respectively, for releasably securing the front frame member to the rear support member. The picture compartment includes an automatically adjusting, removable rear picture support removably mounted within the picture compartment.
