Preferably, the aligning aid is attached on or near the handle of the club by being snugly wrapped around the shaft and attached to itself, such as by a hook and loop fastener. In one embodiment, the aligning aid also has a graphical design disposed on one end of the planar portion. The graphical design has a first axis which, when the aid is attached to the clubs is perpendicular to the shaft of the golf club and a second axis designed to be disposed parallel to the shaft of the club. The ratio of the length of the second axis to the length of the first axis is between about 0.25 and about 0.75.Type: GrantFiled: January 17, 1996Date of Patent: August 19, 1997Inventor: Ted L.
