In the ink ribbon cassette, a lengthways embankment is furnished near an ejecting opening of ink ribbon cassette in an ink ribbon lodging section. The lengthways embankment makes a portion of a space that the ink ribbon passes through narrower. Dual embankments may also be furnished on the ink ribbon movement path at the downstream side of ink ribbon lodging section. The dual embankments respectively protrude from an upper cover and a lower cover. Protruding portions may also be respectively furnished near an entering opening and an ejecting opening of ink ribbon lodging section.
